The best rated 40-Inch LED TV from Samsung is definitely the Samsung UN40C6300 40-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED HDTV.

Pros
* Very clear, realistic and excellent picture quality
* Free from artifacts, blurs and ghosting. Whatever HD content you’re viewing all of them will look smooth on this TV.
* Sleek design. This TV is very thin and the design will look good in any room.
* Easy setup. No guessworks needed when you play with the settings.
* Quick to turn on.
* The sound quality is good, it’s loud and quite acceptable but if you’re picky and really want a true cinema experience you would want a decent home theater speaker system.

Cons
* The settings are not carried over to all of your inputs. You have to set each separately.

Samsung UN40C6500 VS Samsung Samsung UN40C6300

The main difference between these two is that the UN40C6500 includes Samsung Apps. The UN40C6500 supports both Samsung Apps and Yahoo Widgets. The Samsung Apps are great, and support Netflix, Hulu Plus, Pandora, etc. There is a good and growing selection of Samsung Apps, however, Skype is only available on the 7 Series sets and above. If internet applications is important to you then you should really choose Samsung UN40C6500. Otherwise just go for the Samsung UN40C6300.

The other difference is contrast ratio. The UN40C6500 features 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio while the UN40C6300 is only 4,000,000:1. Not really a big deal for most people.

NOTE: A 40-Inch screen is ideal if you’re viewing distance is between 5 – 10 feet. If you’re viewing distance is farther than 10 feet you will be more satisfied with bigger screen TV.
