Question : My Sony KDL-V32XBR1 has nine blinks when it powers on, and has since I bought it over a year ago.
It usually works when I push the power button again a second, third, or sometimes fourth time. It's been more annoying than anything else. My question is, what is wrong Can I buy the parts myself What specialized tools if any will I needI did call Sony, they weren't any help aside from giving me the number of a service center wanting to keep my TV for a month (while it's still usable), and charge me $250 for looking at it. I'm also fairly technical, and can do basic soldering. Although I don't currently have a soldering iron.I'm not considering buying a new TV, as when working this TV is great. Plus, after a year I'm not throwing $2600 down the drain.not to be rude, but it was bought from sonydirect, and getting ahold of someone there was nearly impossible. I've sold electronics and warranties, I'm looking for someone knowledgeable with sony experience to give me viable solutions. The tv aside from initially turning on works great. I just don't want to risk it breaking because a part was not replaced. I can handle a repair, I would just like to know what's wrong without wasting $250, for a tech to say nothing's wrong. Thanks for answering, but this is what I'm looking for.

Answer:
if it has had the same problem since you bought it then you should have had it looked at while it was in warranty , it seems now its out of warranty and you have to pay for any repairs wich you are finding out can be very expensive. if you would have done some thing within the one year warranty. you would be paying nothing. (although you would probably be out a tv for a while while yours was in the shop) but it would be allot less expensive. so i hope this can be a learning experience on this matter. it seems the only choice you have now is to get it fixed and deal with that situation. or invest in a new tv. and if it has any problems out of the box just return it and get a new one. im not trying to be rude, at all. but now you are finding out that sooner action would have helped greatly in this situation. good luck.
