Question : engine light on, after diagnostic, egr faulty, replaced, engine light still on.
I disconnected positive side of battery, to see if computer would reset, it did not, it still has engine light on after two diagnostics for same EGR valve. HELP
Answer:
you have to have an obd2 tester. Did you fix the EGR valve See if you can get auto zone to shut off the engine light. It might reset itself if you fix your problem. Don't forget all the vacuum lines that might have been inadvertently removed.

Question : I purchased a 2000 Ford Expedition. It runs great but my engine light is on. I replaced the engine.
Like I said the expedition is a 2000. The engine is a 2001. My engine light keeps coming on. Would that be because the computer isn't reading the new engine right. I have a bunch of error messages having to do with o2 Sensors, system to lean, egr flow insufficient, Torque converter & Shift Solenoid a & b. These are all the errors. Would this be from the cars computer not reading the new engine, because like I said it runs great.
Answer:
have you try disconecting the battery cable to try to reset the computer on the car and see if the codes go away.If the codes come back then try going back to the mechanic and check the conections, i could see emission codes coming up but the torque converter & shift solenoid, A&B seems odd.
