Question : Will it do any damage to the TV if I connect external speakers via the headphone jack for a long time
Volume from my LCD TV speaker is weak, so I connected my 2.1 channel computer speakers (self powered) to the TV headphone jack. Now the volume is increased. But I am just wondering will it do any damage to the TV if I keep this connection in the future.

Answer:
If the speakers are self powered it is unlikely.Driving one, two or more speakers from a headphone jack is bad when all the power to do so comes from the TV. But in your case the power is coming from the amplifier in the speakers. It should be okay.

Question : Are there any LCD monitors out there (in the 19" range) with good built-in speakers
It seems that most people find that built-in speakers in LCD monitors are pretty bad -- weak and not enough bass. Are there any LCD monitors that have decent speakers They don't need to be loud enough to fill a room, but good enough so if I'm sitting at my desk I can reasonably listen to tunes or watch a video.

Answer:
By my definition of 'decent' no.If you are shoe-horning a speaker into the cabinet of a monitor then there is not going to be enough space for a decent size speaker, and the cabinet is not designed for it.You can get a pair of reasonable speakers and sit them behind your monitor for less than extra cost for having worse speakers in the monitor..
