Question : HDTV/HDMI Question
Why is it that some tv's say hdtv only, some say hdmi only and some say both i can somewhat understand the first but if its just hdmi and doesnt have the capability of hdtv whats the point isnt that like having something that like buying premium cable but not having a tv lol
Answer:
They put HDMI connections on non HD TVs because, they are making a lot of TVs now that are " HD- READY/COMPATIBLE, in other words, the HD tuner is not built in, but someday , you could get one, & then you will already have the HDMI connections, which are really the best, because some channels are digital, and some are HD, The HDMI gives good resolution in both Digital & HD. I bought a HDTV, with built in HD tuner, bypassing all the later add-ons.

Question : What is the point of having an HDTV if it really isnt HD
Im upset over the fact that only HD channels look good on an HDTV, and the rest of the channels, which is 90percent of everything else that you pay for comes out on your screen in a bad stretched distorted image, unless you change the aspect ratio to 4:3 which makes the screen significantly smaller and your tv is no longer the size you bought it for.. Really why would they make this kind of tv if regular tv looks crappy on it....Unless of course there might be a way to have a full screen image without the stretchy distorted image. I dont even care if it isnt the sharpest image...but at least the picture doesnt make things look short and fat......Im upgrading to HD service from Dish NET with monter HDMI cable to see what happens....Anybody else have this problem/complaint about there expance Crap Definintion TV
Answer:
Wait....It'll get better....You big crybaby....You don't have FIOS TV....at least not yet.And WHEN you do...your Low DEF channels will be so clean and clear, you'll wonder why you didn't go FIOS sooner....So wait, you big crybaby.....Oh, almost forgot to mention...You DON'T NEED a Monster HDMI cable...Let the DISH-guy install his own HDMI cable....My Verizon FIOS installer gave me a choice of HDMI or Component Cabling and they gave me a BELKIN cable...the standard for Video engineers for decades....Monster will break your HDMI connectors.....and the HDMI signal is DIGITAL not Analog, so why buy a cable designed for ANALOG signal when all you're transmitting thru that cable is simple digital pulses Costs less too...Belkin actually fared better in the bandwidth tests over Monster...But the Monster cleaner Kit is worth the $20....even comes with the Microfiber cleaning cloth....
