Good! But not perfect.

I was looking for some new speakers after i trashed my other ones. I wanted some 5.1 speakers, but since my computer is crammed into the corner of my room, there was nowhere to mount rear speakers.

The GT5051 speakers looked like the solution. I bought them with a turtle beach Santa Cruz sound card about 4 months ago.

Setup was simple, and they fit well with my setup.

The sound is very nice, I watched the movie Hero on my computer with these speakers once, and was blown away. The sound was 110 percent theatre quality. I only have one complaint, and that is that the bass is too quiet. After turning up the "sub" level to the maximum, and turning up the bass as far as i can on my soundcard, the bass could still stand to be a few more notches up (meaning if you don't have a soundcard, you will be very dissapointed).

As for the 5.1 effect, it shouldn't be the selling point of these speakers, I've messed around ,and put all the sound to the "rear" speakers, and though it doesn't sound like the sound is in front of you, it also doesn't sound like it's behind you either. I'd place it more directly beside you. Close, but no cigar.

Overall, great speakers that could use a bit more bass, and aren't perfectly convincing 5.1 surround.

excellent!!!

I have this hooked up to my computer for playing games and listening to music. I can confirm this is a great product. I live in an apartment so I try not to be rude to my neighbors. But when I have the sound on low volume, it's nice. And when I crank it up, it's still nice.

I usually come to Amazon to see to compare products so it is my duty to give my opinion. ;)

Also, I've rearranged the speakers from time to time, and have not had any problem with the wires, which I've sometimes pulled a little too hard, I thought. You can also experiment with moving the speakers around a little bit to see what sounds best in your room.

Big thumbs up!

Crisp Sound

The sound from these speakers is really crisp and clear. Its got the controls on the right satellite. Apart from the power button, there are 3 buttons for sub, center and surround, each of which can be set up separately using the common volume dial. It's not very loud on the bass but otherwise it sounds just fantastic. The space saving design is great. Saves me the trouble of running cables all over the room. These can be hooked up to your TV or DVD player too. It even works if you have a stereo sound card. But 5.1 sound card is recommended to get the best output and value for your money.
CNET would give these babies a 5.8 but I would definitely give them a 9/10. These are especially good if you live in an apartment and you want a 5.1 set.

Fluance 5 Speaker Surround Sound Home Theater System SX-HTB+ Fluance 5 Speaker Surround Sound Home Theater System SX-HTB+

Average Customer Rating :

Editorial Review :

A perfectly matched and flawlessly sounding five speaker system that has the best of both worlds. It has top reproduction qualities in the hi-fidelity music as well as the surround sound home theater area. When this system is used in Dolby surround and DTS systems you really get to see, hear, and feel what home cinema is supposed to be. It is possible to use the SX-HTB in combination with active subwoofers for true low frequency effect. The fronts are vertically and horizontally braced to ensure that the acoustic image remains free from cabinet vibrations and driver resonances. By virtue of the bass reflex cabinet the SX-HTB fronts have outstandingly brilliant and dynamic bass performance. Only first-class components such as powerfully dimensioned high-performance magnets and Neodymium tweeters are used in the production of this system. Thanks to its distinct design and trendy natural beech finish, it harmonizes perfectly with modern living areas. This is unmistakably a speaker system made by Fluance.

WoW

Couldn't believe the sound right out of the box. I read in other reviews the speakers needed about 10 hours to break in, maybe but I couldn't tell the difference. I put the speakers through a series of tests, my own. Music was incredible, Supertramp, Telivision movies,OnDemand Fios, new Terminator movie and several DVDs both regular and Blu Ray. I have had many spears systems AR's, Bose, Panisonic, Marantz. I don't believe any other speakers sounded this good. I did buy a seperate Dayton 12" sub to fill in the bass. Now everything is smooth. I recieved the set in 2 days after ordering, of courde I only lve across the border, the speakers were double boxed and everything was in tip top shape when it arrived. by the way I'm running the speakers through a563 Yamaha Receiver.

Great value and sound

The speakers came well packaged. They sound great. Later I will be adding their sub since these speakers have turned out so good.

Considering the cost, a fantastic deal!

To begin, these speakers are better-built than a lot of "fine furniture". The joints are solid, and the laminate is well-nigh perfect. I'm not overly
fond of the color, but that's subjective. The weight alone indicates some-
thing more than cheap crap. Sound-wise, the big towers are very pleasing -
maybe a tinge of brightness, but for home-theater I find that to be a plus.
The midrange is clean & detailed. What surprised me the most was the bass-
it's actually quite satisfying. The bottom octave is missing, but above
that, everything comes through just fine. The center channel does a good job on dialogue, certainly better than some others I've heard that cost more than this whole system. The same can be said for the rears. All told, I consider this to be one of my better purchases. Now I'm curious
to try Fluance's separate center-channel & bipolar rears. We'll see.

You get what you paid for!

I bought it a couple of months ago after reading all the good reviews. My expectation was probably too high for the price. Just so so sound quality that you can get from auto speakers. Again, not terribly bad considering money, but if you want nice home theater quality, I recommend investing a little bit more and go to other speaker sets.

Unbelievable

All I can say is wow. They arrived in two separate boxes each double boxed with lots of styro inside. Everything about them is high end (heavy, tight, brass fittings, nice grills). They sound fantastic and made a great 7.1 set up for my new Pioneer system. They are not as pale as they look in the picture and they are way better than all the "home-theater-in-a-box" plastic trash that I looked at.

This wireless kit sends rich sound to your home entertainment system speakers while eliminating ugly and cumbersome wires. Just plug the sender into your home theater and your rear speakers into the receiver.

Works amazing, those that gave 1 star - Read the manual!!!

I bought this product to solve the problem everyone has - don't want to run cables to where the rear speakers are for the 5.1 experience. I got it from best buy, upon install, it didn't work at all, in fact it did exactly what another reviewer wrote here, the speakers made no sound, and it auto shuts off my receiver like there was a short. My sony receiver kept popping up the "protector" signal. Then the genius me realized I should probably RTFM (read the freaking manual!), and it turns out I have flipped the receiver and transmitter units LOL. So if you are having problems like I mention above, you have hooked up the units in the wrong places.

After I hooked them up correctly, things worked like a charm. I think this product is worth every penny. I do agree the units themselves should probably have a better label, but if you read the manual, you wouldn't have any issues with it.

My experience with the Rocketfish

Hi, I purchased the Rocketfish to avoid trailing wires from the position of the new HDTV and JVC 5.1 SS system to the rear of the family room. Set up was simple but be aware that you are going to need good quality speaker cable because there is none supplied with the RF.

Take note also that true surround sound will not emanate from your rear speakers until the RF receives a signal from your DVD or Blue Ray player in the correct format i.e. Dolby Digital and several other common formats in use today. If you are using the RF with a BlueRay player then you will be delighted as the depth of sound is enhanced considerably from the multi layered BlueRay technology.

You will need an optical cable and HDMI to connect your sound system to your LCDTV if your system supports one. That is the very best quality sound you will get and will enhance the sound from your rear speakers via the RF.

You can play radio, CD's, MP3 and most of everything your DVD or BR player will support but if it is not a DVD movie or BR movie or a digital TV program that is sending the digital 5.1 Dolby signal not all of it will be in true surround sound, basically because the signal is not there and therefore the sound will be presented as a sort of enhanced stereo(enhanced by the rear speakers).

All in all I am very pleased with the Rocketfish system and would recommend it to anyone who baulks at the current cost of a mid-ranged wireless speaker system. Now you can purchase a good quality, traditional, wired speaker system and turn your rear speakers into a wireless system with this product!

Works great!

Just hooked up this system. Works great. No static or pops or anything, and I live in a large apartment complex. The transmitter and receiver aren't even line of sight! I haven't worked it over yet in terms of dynamic or frequency response, but for surround speakers it seems to work perfectly.

Works Like a Charm

I just installed a surround system in my living room and I simply could not figure out how I was going to run wires to my rear speakers without having them clearly visible in at least one place, a problem which I'm sure other people are having if they are reading this review. I saw this product and I was skeptical that it would actually work, I thought "How do you transmit a signal without losing quality?" I took what I considered to be a risk and bought it, thinking hey if it didn't work, I'll just return it. Fortunately, it turns out I was worrying for no reason. It works great.

When I initially hooked it up at first I was upset because it wouldn't work. Every time I turned on the unit, the sender would automatically shut off after establishing a connection for 2 seconds, then shut off. I thought it was defective at first but it turns out I am actually just a moron who does not read instructions; I had the sender and the receiver backwards. The sender is the small piece that hooks up to the rear left/rear right jacks on the back of the receiver, and the large piece is what powers the rear speakers.

Once I figured out that I had been doing it wrong, setup is a breeze. The kit comes pre-configured from the factory with connections, so all you have to do is plug each unit in (they both have AC plugs) and they connect to one another immediately. Run the 2 sets of wires, turn on surround program, hear surround sound. Done. Mine actually do not even "see" each other directly, the path is obstructed by a couch and the receiver is sitting on the floor. You have the option of mounting it to a wall, but my signal is fine so I really don't see the necessity.

Who needs wires? This kit is definitely worth the money.

Great product but will interfere with WiFi, approx Channel 11

I like this product and continue to use it after I discovered that it interferes with WiFi on certain channels. I have confirmed this with a spectrum analyzer (Wi-Spy). Please consider this when installing the product. You may need to reconfigure the WiFi channel to 1, 6, or 11 depending on the interference experienced and your neighbor's WiFi access points.

Sound quality is excellent. Very easy to install. I like it so much I am keeping it.

Question : What is the biggest fraction you can make by adding two different unit fractions
plz can u also tell me how you worked out the answer.ok so i know 1/1 is the largest now, thanks for that, but i still need to know the biggest that can be made using 2 DIFFERENT unit fractions

Answer:
A unit fraction is a fraction where the numerator is one and the denominator is a positive integer like 1/1, 1/2, 1/3 etc. If you want to use 2 different unit fractions to make the biggest fraction, use the biggest one and the second biggest one. Therefore 1/1 + 1/2 = 3/2So 3/2 is the biggest fraction you can make by adding two different unit fractions.

Question : What is the forumla in Excel for adding two numbers and subracting a third from the sum
The cells are not contiguous.

Answer:
It is basic algerbra order-of-operations type stuff.= (E3 + G2) - F3And technically since you are only adding, the paranthesis don't really matter. The above is the same as= E3 + (G2 - F3)is the same as= E3 + G2 - F3
