Toshiba 42HL167 42" Regza 1080p LCD HDTV
Customer Review :
Own it for now 3 years
This is a really good TV. But buy a newer one. This on was made in 2007. And now we have 2010.

Deal on a LCD TV
This tv is good when is has a HD source like a blu ray player or a ps3 with HDMI cables. It's a great tv for HD video games with HDMIs like a PS3 and XBox 360. The buttons on the remote is a little slow reacting when pressing the buttons but other then that the quality of the TV is great and the price for it is not that bad compared to others.

I like everything but these dark lines on the screen
Ours is 2 years old and has had a dark line down the middle for about a year. Now it has one on either side of the screen, too, and the one in the middle is getting darker.

Screen broke for no reason after a year!
We purchased the TV brand new from our local electronics store.
After owning the TV approximately eighteen months, we awoke one morning to find the inner screen shattered. Nobody had touched it during the night and it was perfectly fine the night before.
The extended warranty we had purchased for the TV was useless as the warranty company refused to fix the TV because they said we must have abused the TV.
So, we wasted almost $2000 for a television that lasted a year and a half.
We will never buy another Panasonic TV or LCD TV. We went with plasma for the replacement television.

Great Picture
Well defined picture in HD, very useful and convenient remote especially with cable service. Toddler has touched screen and left marks we are unable to remove- tough to clean screen.

Great Product
I was glad to find a shower hose to replace mine that was leaking. I thought I would have to replace the whole shower head and everything. This hose worked perfectly and it's like new now. Price was excellent and received quickly. Would recommend this seller.

Nice TV
Amazon delivered this very quickly and it is a good TV / monitor, but pay close attention to the inputs, this is geared to HDMI.

Great for a small TV
I wanted one with speakers on front as I'm not planning on using any additional audio - it works great and the picture is sharp and clean. Portable just means the stand folds, but it's light and easy to move for sure.

Very pleased with this TV!
Delivered by Fedex 4 days after ordered using free shipping option. Packed well. Used in a dark bedroom so glare is not an issue. Great picture using digital cable (not HD), regular ant/cable connection with coax cable and digital cable adapter. Good sound, good volume, good value for price. Viewing is best when TV is slightly lower than eye level to minimize any darkness. Very happy with this TV. I also have a 19" Toshiba, so I was already familiar with the various controls and settings.

Question : Need some final judgement on my new gaming rig/computer build
OK. this is the gaming rig build i have come up with. i am planning on buying everything, even keyboard/mouse and monitor. i didnt include an aftermarket cpu cooler because the stock amd cooler was sufficient. this is the list: (i'm an AMD/ATI fan:P)(all items from newegg.com, best pc components prices)CPU: ($190) AMD Phenom II X4 940 Deneb 3.0GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM2+ 125W Quad-Core Black Edition Processor MOTHERBOARD: ($77) ASRock A780GXH/128M AM2+/AM2 AMD 780G HDMI ATX AMD MotherboardRAM: (2x$45) (2 sets) G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory MONITOR: ($190) Acer X233Hbid Black 23" 5ms HDMI Full 1080P Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 40000:1 (ACM)OS: ($100) Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 64-bit for System BuildersCASE/FANS: ($50) COOLER MASTER ELITE 335 RC-335-KKN1-GP Black SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer CaseHARD DRIVE: ($60) Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST3500418AS 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard DriveCD-DRIVE: ($20) LITE-ON Black 18X DVD-ROM 48X CD-ROM SATA DVD-ROM Drive Model iHDS118-04 - OEMKEYBOARD/MOUSE: ($22) Microsoft Comfort Curve 2000 B2L-00047 Black 105 Normal Keys 9 Function Keys USB Ergonomics Keyboard and MouseVIDEO CARD: ($265) SAPPHIRE 100269OCSR Radeon HD 4890 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - OC edition POWER SUPPLY: ($70) KINGWIN 730W ATX / BTX SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Active PFC Power Supply$1134 total.i would like to keep the price udner $1200.what i wanna know:what do i need to take outwhat needs to be changedwhat needs to be addednote: i am building this computer COMPLETELY from scratch, so i need every single pc component, disregarding a sound card, because the integrated sound card in motherboards are sufficient, and a few other components. the only thing i will be using from my old computer are the great speakers.thank you in advance.
Answer:
I'd drop the HD 4890 in favour of a 4870 because the performance increase is less than the increase in price. You could use the money saved to upgrade to a 1TB HD. Drive space never becomes obsolete Also, since you bought a crossfire board, you'll eventually need to put another card into it to make it worth getting it.
