Super High Quality & Functional Wall Mount

OK - at first I was very skeptical to purchase a very inexpensive $25 wall mount for my 40" LCD Samsung tv set since most people used it on a 32" LCD or smaller set. However, this wall mount FAR EXCEEDED my expectations and rivals $200 wall mounts in terms of functionality and pars $125+ wall mounts in terms of construction quality. I am an intermediate to advanced level DIY-er, but don't work with my hands for a living, and managed to get this mount installed perfectly. One person can do most of the installation, but once you are ready to mount the LCD, you will need some assistance holding it up and positioning the LCD in place (I used an empty box with a pillow help raise the set, and my wife's help to position it in place). My LCD is located in the corner of my living room over a fire place. Given the fact the LCD is at a high location, I wanted a mount that not only can be positioned to rotate left and right, I wanted it to be TILTED downward towards the viewers/ sofa couches. This mount has more features than many others out there(my friend paid $180 for his mount at a retail store and doesn't have all the adjusting options). If you know what you're doing, you will have no problem with this mount. It even allows 'some' degree of user error by letting you rotate the LCD clockwise and/or counter clockwise from a standing position in case you did not use a leveler or measure properly. All necessary screws, bolts and instructions were included for my set.

Here are a few tips to make this product absolutely incredible:
*If you apply just a single drop of lubricant (I used Finish Line Cross Country Lube) at each rotating/moving joint, this wall mount will have the motion of a smooth high end articulating arm that seems to have ball-bearings!!.. it is SMOOTH and STURDY!

NOT FOR ALL TVS

I bought this stand to use with a 22" TV. the set up was very simple and I had it mounted in 10 minutes, unfortunately, I didn't attach it to the TV until after it was mounted on the wall. When I attached the TV I was disappointed to find that while it says it fits a 22" TV, and it does in terms of the mounting holes, the size of the attachment plate on the back of the TV was to large and COVERED UP ABOUT HALF THE INPUTS ON THE BACK OF THE TV. The product itself is great, quality construction and looks very good, I just want to warn anyone thinking of buying this for a smaller TV to realize it may not be functional. I ended up keeping the product to have an extra when and if I buy another TV, but I had to buy the mount for 10" to 22" so that I could actually us the TV while it was mounted

* Includes a 3-screw triangular mounting pattern on top & bottom that can be used to mount the arm to the wall

Cons:
* Have to attach (with screws) the TV/monitor straight to the mount unlike other mounts, so two people are useful - one to hold the unit to the mount and another to screw it to the mount while the first person continues to hold it
* Large TV plate can get in the way of connections (if not using 200x200); also can cause problems if the back of the TV/monitor is not flat

Great with a little work.

This product works great with a little elbow grease. Actually, graphite is better. The entire thing works very rough until you add a little lubricant to the joints. I suggest dry graphite, since it is plastic on metal connections and a strong solvent in wd-40 or similar might dissolve plastic.

Going "off directions" greatly simplified the installation. By disassembling portions, and installing piece by piece, it was much easier to mount it to the wall.

Also, the base plate that attaches to the monitor did not fit with the screws provided. I could have gotten longer screws, but I ended up cutting the edges off the plate to fit the monitor.

Bottom line, if you don't have some of your own tools and know-how, this could be a disaster. Don't expect an easy install out of the box. But what a bargain now that it is installed and functioning perfectly!

So Easy to Install

I was very pleased with this wall mount for my 42 inch Plasma. It was much more cost effective than big box store alternatives. I was most happy at how easy it was to install. This mount was absolutely designed for those needing an easy install. I debated hiring someone to do this job and now that it is on my wall, I am so glad I did it myself... Great product...easy to install.

A bargain at twice the price

I purchased this mount for a 46" LCD and am very happy with my choice. The minimalist design of the mount allows it to be light yet very sturdy. I mounted it to wood studs and found that the supplied wood screws, while adequate, weren't quite long enough for a paranoid person like me, so I used 3" 3/8 wood bolts and now I could hang my whole family on the mount with no trouble. Construction of the mount is easy and I found the instructions to be thorough whether mounting to wood/metal studs or masonry. If you have even a drop of mechanical skill you will be able to install this mount. You will need a drill and basic bit set to make pilot holes for the screws and preferably a stud finder (if you aren't quite sure where they're at) but other than that a basic tool set will be enough from start to finish. Lastly, I found the included little magnetic level to be very handy and it went straight into my toolbox when I was done. Once the TV was hung, adjustment of it's final location was easy before locking it down. When I'm ready to hang another TV I will definitely be getting another one of these.

Great for do-it-your-selfers!

It's easy to put up as long as you have a studfinder and a level. Easy to do and comes with a ton of different adapting pieces to mount the different tvs. Currently holding up a 50 inch tv and hasn't had any problems what so ever. Have owned for 10 months.

This mount is not only affordable but it is great! I was hesitant in buying it because I couldn't believe the low price tag compared to other wall mount prices that are in the $100-$200 range. The favorable reviews here though convinced me to try it out and I must say I am glad I did. Setting the wall mount up was very easy and while some have complained about the screws that are provided. The ones that I got are doing just fine so my guess is maybe they have improved the quality of the screws that they provide?

However, as others have mentioned. Do NOT and I repeat do NOT use the built-in leveler when placing the mount on the wall.

Great, with one teensy flaw

Before mentioning the product itself, just to get it out of the way, this arrived two days before the shipping estimate, so great turn around from Cheetah Mounts!

I installed this into a wall with 16" studs (good old 70s construction) and it went in without a problem. I was forced to mount it a little differently than I would have wanted to due to a stud being dead center in the wall, meaning I could put bolts on the far right, then a little left of the center, so the mass of the TV is not centered between them (a 40" model). It's sturdy, and includes a level right in the center! Talk about useful...

The only flaw is that the tilt mechanism involves a bolt with an arm that slides through it from side to side for tightening by hand. How can this be a problem? Depending on where it ends up being fully tightened, one end can stick out and prevent you from using a particular degree of tilt. I ended up tilting my TV slightly farther than I would have liked to in order to accommodate this, but it still looks fine. That said, this is still an awesome product for the money, and the TV looks fantastic.

i bought this cheetah mount for my sony 46' lcd

hey amazon, so let me break it down to you in my bed toom i got a 46ich toshiba lcd i got from best buy and its on the wall and i got wall mount and istalling i got a package deal
so the wall mount was nearly 150$

ok so i wanted changed my living room around and i didnt feel like paying $150 bucks plus installing $
so now i took a shot with this mount and trusting it to hold the tv
its been 4 days now not 1 problem at all
installing was easy as can be (if you have a drill and your own tools ) need 2 ppl to hold tv and put it on the wall

so my review is, from the best buy wall mount to the cheetah
the best buy one, if i wanna tilt it more i can just go to the side to move it
the cheeath wall mount (IT SAYS IT IN THE BOOK SET IT B4 YOU PUT IT ON THE WALL) you can only set it one time if you wanna move it you gont to take it a part
thats the only down about the mount !
but for the price of it its sitll good cause i did everything right i looked everything over read the book set the hangers

so if you unsure and think its "unsafe" and why its so cheap ?> i was thinking the same
best buy sells them for $150 i'am sure they get it for anywhere 50-60 bucks and they make money on everyone

Don't Trust the Level

This is overall a good wall mount. It installed easily with the included hardware and easily supported the weight of my 54" plasma screen.
My only complaint is the built-in level... it's NOT LEVEL with the mount. I installed the wall portion of the mount using the built-in level, then found my screen to be very crooked. Using a better framing level, I re-installed it (more holes in the wall) and now it works fine.

Works Well!

Was skeptical as some others to order this. Figured I would try it for the price though. It is exactly as most other reviewers explained it. Hooked up our Samsung 50" plasma to it. Had all of the hardware needed, and a lot more. Easy enough to install and it is sturdy!

Needs Work

I bought this mount for my Sony 40 inch. The construction is nice and sturdy. The tilt works great. The hardware is all great except for one thing... and it's a biggie... The 2in1 washer that is provided with the mount does not fit in between the wall bracket grooves. The washer was too big by 1/8 inch. I had to cut the washers with a grinder. If you have a hack saw that will work too.

There is not much more to write about this product except for the fact that it is designed in an efficient manner, is sturdy, is packaged with easy to follow instructions and all of the necessary bolts/parts required, and is far cheaper than a similar mount bought at your local retail store. Save yourself 50 dollars or more and order this mount for less than 30, I believe I paid $24 and some change, I just checked and I see they are going for 19 dollars, so be smart and if you need a tv mount, consider this one first!

Amazing deal!

I'd be lying if I didn't say I was skeptical when purchasing this mount. At $19, compared to $70+ for comparable mounts from other manufacturers, you have to wonder what the catch is.

But, for less than $20, it would be crazy not to give it a shot. I ordered two of them - one for a 32" Panasonic LCD HDTV and the other for my 50" Panasonic Plasma HDTV. I must say, I'm delightfully surprised. The mount it utterly simple to construct, comes with an integrated bubble-level, a plethora of different bolts for mounting whatever TV you may own, and seems to be of good build quality. I'm sure there are beefier mounts out there with uranium bracing or some other over the top thing to drive up the price - but these do the trick. I have no doubts this mount will hold both my TVs without a problem.

I've gotta say - this is one of those rare instances where you get more than you pay for. Don't hesitate one moment because of the price.
