Customer Review :
Spectacular mount for a great price.
I picked this mount up on black Friday when it was running a significant price drop. All that said, I'd have gladly paid full price for this. The motor can be a bit louder than I'd care for, but in general while the TV is moving you aren't paying that much attention to the TV. I especially love that it can automatically turn on & off (via the included optical audio cable). It was very easy to install on the wall & TV, and went up rather quickly. The only thing I will say that did bother me was that the first two or three times I had the unit move my TV up and down it popped rather loudly and the TV shook scaring me a good bit, but that hasn't happened since those first few times. Great product. I wholeheartedly recommend.
The shipping was prompt and reasonable.

Perfect solution!
I wanted to mount our TV over the fireplace but my wife didn't want to see it permanently tilted when it was off & we weren't watching TV. CLO to the rescue - it was easy to install, hook up and use. It had all the hardware & wiring included. Even a remote (but we didn't need to use it). When I turn on my TV with the TV's remote, it tilts down to viewing position; when I turn it off, it returns flat upright. My wife and I are both happy!

Questions & Answers
Question : How close can my LCD HDTV be to my large home stereo speakers?
I have a rather small living room and I am wondering how close my LCD HDTV can be to my large home stereo speakers. When I move our older (non HD) TV too close (about 12") to our home stereo speakers the screen gets green spots and distortion. I am wondering if being too close to a large speaker will hurt or interfere with the HDTV. Thanks!
Answer:
LCD TVs are not affected by magnets. Put the speakers where you want. You only have to worry about magnetic fields with CRT (Picture Tube) TVs.

Question : Can I use a 1080p lcd hdtv as a pc monitor picture-quality wise?
I know that I can plug it in. But what about using say a 40" 1080p lcd hdtv as a montitor? Would it look as crisp as the 24" viewsonic I have now? Should I stick with lcd's that are MADE to be pc monitors? Thanks!
Answer:
I use my 52" Sony Bravia LCD HDTV as a computer monitor. It's connected to my computer using a DVI-to-HDMI cable, displaying 1080p HIgh Definition (1920x1080 resolution). And it looks fabulous. http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f347/armchairaviator/computer/IMG_0880c.jpgThe text is razor-sharp, the graphics clear and vivid. I can't be happier with the result.A lot depends on the quality of the TV set. An upper-end set like a Sony Bravia or Sharp Aquos will look nice. Lower-end sets might not look as nice.Hope this helps.

Question : Where can I get a filter capacitor for a ProScan lcd hdtv?
And how much does it cost? I am thinking about buying it from my friend for real cheap. It's a 42" 1080p 720 lcd hdtv. I need to know how much the part is and where I can get it at.
Answer:
If you are adept at electronics repair and have all of the necessary tools, the reference in the other answer is a good one. But in my experience, the people who have the necessary experience to take on a job like this don't have to ask where to obtain parts. This may be something that you need a professional technician or a very capable do-it-yourselfer to help you with. Good luck.

Question : Why does my LCD HDTV have black bars on the left and right sides of the screen?
I have a 32'' widescreen audiovox LCD HDTV. I also own a comcast digital cable box, which we used to view hi-def programs through component cables. We recently got a dvi cable and now sandard-def programs have black bars on the left and right of the screen. Th HD is fine,no black bars. But standard-def channels now have black bars on the left and right, but they did not before when we used component cables. Any help would be appreciated.
Answer:
Widescreen TV's are wider than standard def TV's. You have space left over on each side when you put the shape of a standard def program on the screen. You can always stretch or zoom, but that's your preference. I would keep it as it is and see the original content the way it was meant to be viewed.Standard-def channels have a 4:3 aspect ratio; the width is 4/3 = 1.333 times longer than the height.High-def channels have a 16:9 aspect ratio; the width is 16/9 = 1.78 times longer than the height. If you take a standard def image (1.33:1) and put it in a widescreen set as large as it will fit, you will have black bars on the left and right. It used to be that all programs (movies and television) had a 4:3 apsect ratio. When television was introduced, the theatres had to have something novel to draw audiences back to the theatre. They switched to even larger aspect rations of 1.85:1 or 2.35:1 (width is 2.35 times longer than the height). Early movies like "Gone with the Wind" the original "Dracula" and even "The Wizard of Oz" were all 1.33:1 and would fit perfectly on standard def screens.Since a lot of movies have even wider screens than HDTV's, you are going to even run into black bars on the top and bottom.16:9 (1.78:1) is basically a compromise between standard def (1.33:1) and theater (2.35:1).

Question : How do I make my LCD HDTV clear?
I just bought an LCD HDTV, and I am using regular comcast cable. The picture is not clear. I believe I need an hd tuner or something, but the picture is really grainy. Do I have to subscribe to hdtv, or just get a tuner, or both? FYI, the quality is pretty bad right now with niether a tuner or a subscription to hdtv. I'm confused.
Answer:
Do you have a HD cable box ? If not you need to go and get one. Without the HD box there is no HD signal. You get the Box from your cable provider.
