wall mount
There isn't much to say about a wall mount! We needed one for the TV we were buying from Amazon. We checked the prices in town and this one was less expensive. When we received it it not only was less expensive but the quality was better.

Good value in a strong flush mount
This is a great value on a mid-size, heavy duty wall mount. I paid $70 inc. shipping. I mounted a 32" Sharp using this mount...a little overkill but I wanted to be able to go up in tv size in the future. Installation was pretty easy. I did it alone. I rate myself as fairly handy at this type of thing. Still, drill some holes, screw in a few screws and your done. A helper would make it go a little quicker. The mount is very solid and secure when intalled into wall studs. The instructions could have been a little clearer, but what do you expect. I used the pictures as reference. That was a much better approach than the written instructions. TV mounts very close to the wall (about 1.5" clearance). Loosen two set screws and you can adjust tilt or remove TV from the wall.
Unless you have side hookups, make your cable connections before you hang the tv. Adjusting the tilt takes a little doing...there are set screws, so you can't just adjust at will. Make sure you put the super long "security allen" wrench they give you in a safe place and remember where it is because you will need it to make adjustments. It has a hole in the end and a regular allen wrench won't do. It came with a bunch of different size bolts to accomodate various televisions. Check the manufacturers website to find which mount is best for your tv. It will give you multiple choices. www.peerlessmounts.com Use the Mount Finder on the left.
I would definitely recommend this mount for anyone wanting a flush mounted screen.

excellent mount, issue with tilting
This mount is great, easy to install and very sturdy. Had a problem getting it to tilt. Had to break off 2 bars that were going through the tilt arms. Once those were gone, it worked fine. Good price also for a high quality mount.

LOOSEN HEX SCREWS TO USE ANGLE FEATURE!!!!
Good product when it was finally up...you must loosen the small hex screws (with bolt) in order to use the angle feature. This is not shown in the procedure to install. It took me forever to figure this out and I only did because I read another review on Amazon...
Rating :
Good Mount
This is a good, inexpensive mount. It is wide enough room to move it horizontally to accommodate the stud position. Installation was straight forward. The mount places the TV far enough away from the wall as to not interfere with cords. One should plug in all connections before mounting the TV to the bracket because it is very difficult after it is on the wall. Again, good mount for the money.

| Editorial Review :
This wall mount bracket is for LED TVs that need to be mounted as close to the wall as possible and hang like a picture frame, comparable to the name brand solution WMN1000B. With less than 15mm (14.5mm to be exact, yes MILLIMETERS which equates to just 0.57 inches) this is one of the slimmest wall mounting solutions on the market today! Featuring high quality mounting hardware and a "kick-stand" style lever to hold the TV away from the wall while connecting and disconnecting cables, this mount has a unique design that's both visually appealing as well as functional. Compare with Samsung $249 WMN1000B, you can go with this factory direct generic solution with just as good build quality.
Customer Review :
Wrong bolts for TV???
Although the instructions are horrible, the installation was easy, and the finished product looks great. I agree with a previous reviewer on using better wall anchors. I used E-Z Toggle Locks - 100lbs each. However, the 20mm M8 bolts included for attaching the hanger to the back of my UN55C8000 were too long. Even with the lock washer and flat washer, still too long. I looked at the WMN1000C specs and it includes the same M8 bolts (19mm). I spent an hour trying to work it out and thinking I was an idiot. I ended up buying a 12mm M8 1.25 hex head bolt at Home Depot and put one flat washer on it. A 15mm M8 would be perfect. Can't for the life of me figure out how the 20mm bolt was suppose to fit.

Takes some work to make it right
Pros: 1. Save $100 over what the name brand version is going for. 2. Can be a safe and secure mount if you put some effort (and a few extra dollars) into it. Cons: 1. Provided plastic wall anchors are not acceptable. 2. Poor instructions. 3. No fancy-pants decorative cover for the part that goes behind your TV.
I highly recommend watching the youtube instructional video for the Samsung version of this wall mount. The instructions included with this kit are not helpful and could even be misleading. The video will show you the proper way to install the mount and show you the primary differences between the Samsung version and the knock off. Here are the obvious differences in order of importance: 1. The drywall anchor in the Samsung version is very sturdy and you will want to buy one to use with the knockoff (or two, depending on whether you can hit a stud or not- you can only hit one stud on a standard wall because the mounting discs go 8 inches apart on the wall). DO NOT use the plastic ones provided with the knockoff. The one you will want to buy is a 3/16" Toggler Snaptoggle rated for over 250 lbs. This mounts the aluminum disc very securely. I got 2 for $4. Also if you are hitting a stud, do not use the wood screw provided as it strips very easily. 2. Samsung version has a rubber grommet that goes around the aluminum disc where it attaches to the wall. It appears to protect the wall paint from the wire. I figure who cares, you are already drilling holes in your wall. 3. Samsung version has decorative "samsung" caps that go over the aluminum discs. You cannot see these once you hang your TV. Other than those things, my only concern was the plastic that holds the wires in place as a few reviews have mentioned these breaking. Do not over tighten them as there is a gap under the plastic. This gap allows you to knot an extra wire (110lb rated in home depot picture hanging section for $2)around either the main bolt that also holds the plastic pieces into the TV or the smaller screw above it. I used the smaller screw and also needed a 4mm steel washer. Doing this gives you a secure emergency wire that also goes over the aluminum discs in case the plastic pieces fail to securely hold the included wire. I feel confident that with all this, I have saved myself a hundred bucks and have a very securely mounted set (UN40C6400). I hope this helps.

| Editorial Review :
The AS3S is a tri-shelf cable management system. It can be used with or without a Plasma/LCD mount. This unit is designed to fit under your display and provide an on wall solution for other components such as cable boxes, DVD players, game consoles, and stereo components. There are three 2.25" holes on the aluminum plate that allow you to cleanly run your cables up to your TV or down to another component, as well as out the bottom to an outlet. After reviewing our competition we realized that most shelving units need to be mounted directly into a wall stud. In most cases the wall stud is placed to the right or to the left of the display, which is not where most people prefer to have their shelves mounted. This is still the most secure option however, after significant research weve found that using the correct toggle bolts can allow you to mount your shelving unit wherever you see fit. With the combination of four of these toggle bolts the shelving unit is able to hold well over 70LBS safely. Each individual toggle bolt provides 75LBS of support. Please note that a good toggle bolt is still only as good as the quality of the drywall it is mounted into. If you have water damage or .25" drywall please add a support for your shelving unit.

A Very Mixed Bag
This is quite possibly the most difficult assembly I have had to go through for a product. The main reason for the difficulty in assembly was because of the poor materials and lax tolerances used in manufacture. For example, there are these plastic spaces used to protect the glass shelves (which are a little too small if you have an Onkyo receiver) from the metal columns, that must be threaded through 2 rods. In my package, the holes in the plastic spacers were actually slightly smaller than required to thread them through the rods. If I tried to force the rods into the holes in the spacers, the spacers cracked due to poor quality plastic. I was left using a lighter to expand the holes to get the rods through. Then, once the rods were through, there are there is a cylindrical protrusion from the holes in the plastic that are supposed to line up with slots in the metal columns. Thats fine except for the space between the 2 holes in the plastic and the 2 slots in the metal columns were off, forcing the plastic pieces to occasionally buckle. Once you finish the assembly, this problem goes away because everything gets tightened together. But honestly, assembly would have been much much much easier if more care in engineering and manufacture were taken. Once the thing was put together, I was pretty happy with it, thats why I give 4 stars to the finished product but 1-2 for assembly and fit and finish.

Looks great, fits 13 cables if bundled properly
I bought this unit after seeing the reviews of the OmniMount which looked very similar. Below are the steps I took to get a huge bundle of wires cleanly running through the cable channel (will post pics shortly):
1. Place the device on the glass and run the cables through the routing hole. 2. Align the device where it will sit. 3. Mark the cables running through the hole with a line across all of them to mark where they'll be tied together. 4. Remove device, repeat 2,3 for other devices on other platforms. 5. Route all of the cables as previously marked, zip-tie'ing them togther as they work up (or down) the back of the cable channel.
I have the following sitting on the platforms:
1. Mac Mini 2. Panasonic Blu-Ray player 3. HD Tivo
The Tivo is the only device which extends past the glass, however all feet remain on the surface.
Highly recommend this mount - I have 13 various cables going through the channel (coax, power, ethernet, optical audio, dvi), with a little bit more room left.

Best wall mount for the money
I purchased this mount a few weeks ago when it was on for 73% off.
The box was well packaged and I received it in excellent condition.
Construction was a little difficult so I definitely recommend having 2 people put this together. The only complaint I had was that the plastic spacers tend to get stuck on the threads of the 2 rods that go through the back. I managed to assemble this by myself by taking my time.
I was very impressed with the thickness of the glass. I was also surprised to see that they had included the toggle bolts, drywall anchors and screws in the box.
The cable track in the back was not enough to handle my large bundles of wire loomed cables so it protrudes off the wall about a 1/4" at the bottom where my receiver sits. It made things neater than what I had before so I was still pleased with the final result.
The only complaint I have is that the shelves are not deep enough to hold my SONY receiver so the front rubber pads just barely have enough grip. I may end up selling it and finding a smaller receiver. At the moment it is stable enough provided noone hits the shelf. *crosses fingers*
Given the prices of some of the mounts I was looking at prior to this, the amount I paid and the minor issues I encountered with it made this a worthwhile purchase.

Question : What do you think of the brand LG when it comes to lcd hdtv's?
Im looking to purchaseing a 26" LCD HDTV, but i really dont know what brand to purchase. I looked at a LG and noticed the picture quality looked pretty good. It had good color, but dont know if its a good brand over all.
Answer:
the sd picture on your 26" will look good, maybe a little foggy. Use the S-video input for the best results. I would avoid the HD programming option on a set that small because the HD resolution doesn't really shine until a 40" screen but that's with my eyes your results may vary

Question : How do I attach my Dell Laptop to my Polaroid LCD HDTV?
I have a Dell Latitude D820 laptop and recently just purchased a Polaroid 26" LCD HDTV. I was told at circuit city that I would be able to hook up my laptop to the tv monitor without having to purchase any additional attachments. But from observing the cords that came with the tv and those that I have with my laptop it doesnt seem possible. Anyone know how to hook it up?
Answer:
Most likely you will have an s-video or composite(rca) output from your laptop. Youll need to buy the cable to run from the laptop to the tv.

Question : Why does my LCD HDTV have black bars on the left and right sides of the screen?
I have a 32'' widescreen audiovox LCD HDTV. I also own a comcast digital cable box, which we used to view hi-def programs through component cables. We recently got a dvi cable and now sandard-def programs have black bars on the left and right of the screen. Th HD is fine,no black bars. But standard-def channels now have black bars on the left and right, but they did not before when we used component cables. Any help would be appreciated.
Answer:
Widescreen TV's are wider than standard def TV's. You have space left over on each side when you put the shape of a standard def program on the screen. You can always stretch or zoom, but that's your preference. I would keep it as it is and see the original content the way it was meant to be viewed.Standard-def channels have a 4:3 aspect ratio; the width is 4/3 = 1.333 times longer than the height.High-def channels have a 16:9 aspect ratio; the width is 16/9 = 1.78 times longer than the height. If you take a standard def image (1.33:1) and put it in a widescreen set as large as it will fit, you will have black bars on the left and right. It used to be that all programs (movies and television) had a 4:3 apsect ratio. When television was introduced, the theatres had to have something novel to draw audiences back to the theatre. They switched to even larger aspect rations of 1.85:1 or 2.35:1 (width is 2.35 times longer than the height). Early movies like "Gone with the Wind" the original "Dracula" and even "The Wizard of Oz" were all 1.33:1 and would fit perfectly on standard def screens.Since a lot of movies have even wider screens than HDTV's, you are going to even run into black bars on the top and bottom.16:9 (1.78:1) is basically a compromise between standard def (1.33:1) and theater (2.35:1).

Question : Which small LCD HDTV should I buy to use as both a TV and a PC monitor?
I'm looking for a small (23-26") LCD HDTV to use as both a TV and a computer monitor. It should work pretty well for both purposes and switch between them fairly easily.
Answer:
Philips 20TA2800 with HDMI input and VGA input

Question : What would you consider is the starting size of a large LCD HDTV?
What would you consider is the average size of a decent LCD HDTV. Im not worried about the size of my room or whatever....etc. I want to buy an LCD HDTV that is just a little larger than normal. So......what would you consider is the starting screen size of a "larger than average" LCD HDTV? The guys at Best Buy recommended a 42in.......what do you think? Do you think a 42+ inches is the starting size of a "larger" TV size?
Answer:
i know people who have 37" and it suits them just fine for an upgrade. My family just got a 42" but we've been putting off getting one for over 3 years...and probably won't upgrade for another 5 years at least.

Question : How can you replace a broken LCD screen in a Sylvania LC427SSX 42-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV?
My sister in law left a broken Sylvania LC427SSX 42-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV. I looked online but I can't seem to find any place where I can find just the screen for replacement. Does anyone know where I can buy just the screen or how to fix it?

Question : How hard is it to repair a lcd hdtv screen?
i have a Dell 26' lcd hdtv flat screen monitor and I dropped while moving and the screen is pretty badly cracked! i was going to throw it away but I decided that I might try to have it fixed first so any advice will help! Thank you!!
Answer:
The part will cost you more than a brand new tv the same size and that is IF you could get the part.

Question : If you crack the screen of an LCD HDTV can you replace it?
My LCD HDTV 37" just fell off its wall mounts and has a cracked screen. It still powers on okay and when on still displays a part picture (except where the massive crack is) so everything is working okay with it.So basically Im wondering if it possible to replace just the screen? No, I dont have home contents to claim on and Im in the UK.An idea of cost of a replacemet, if possible, would be great thanks.
Answer:
it will cost more than the actual value of the TV, even at trade prices. Cant really give an approximate cost without knowing the model. Only suggestion is to find an identical model for sale on ebay that is being sold as faulty for a cheap price and use it for the screen, or just put your set for sale (you might get £60 - £100 for it). LCD's are not the best, the screen is very week, scratches easily, and even cleaning it with the wrong product can damage the screen.

Question : I have a Sanyo LCD HDTV that I am trying to connect to my my laptop computer how do I do this?
I am trying to use an s video cord to connect my tv and my laptop togetherThe tv is a sanyo lcd hdtv and the laptop is an HP. Can anyone tell me the steps to use my tv as a monitor? My computer isn't even recognizing the tv. I am also using windows 7 ultimate.
Answer:
You neglected to mention what kind of video ports are on your HP and on the Sanyo LCD HDTV. That's important info, because you might have better alternatives available than that S-video crap.Keep in mind the best connection is HDMI, which some HP laptops have and virtually all HDTVs also have. HDMI is the best and easiest way to connect a laptop to an HDTV.Some HDTVs also have a VGA input, which most HP laptops also have. This is also a good way to connect a laptop to an HDTV.Both HDMI and VGA are FAR superior to S-video. Don't use that low-definition S-video garbage except as a last resort.
