Matches up nicely with Samsung 650 52" LCD

The mount itself is well made, good finish, nice end caps, good variety of hardware, pretty good instructions in the 'for dummies' format, and a helpful template for levelling the bracket and drilling holes. My biggest problem was my old house and finding studs around the fireplace area through the plaster. However, finally got the mount bolted down, and got a friend to help lift Samsung 52" onto the bracket ... checked things out, no problems, put retention bar into locked position, put a padlock on one end, Done. Now that I've done this, I'd feel comfortable mounting a TV again.

The included CD would not play. I suspect a whole bunch of these were thought to have 'burned' but didn't. Too bad, was looking forward to viewing it, and I bought the Bell'O specifically to learn. It's a good product.

Nice unit... except for missing hardware and VERY POOR customer support!

I bought this wall mount for my new Sony 52" LCD TV from Amazon due to the description and the "For Dummies" material that comes with the system (Video and very easy to understand instructions) The template included was perfect, and I was able to mount the base on the wall without difficulty.

Unfortunately, that's when the "good" part ended.

The box includes a large assortment of hardware in order accomodate various types of walls and TV's. The instructions call for the use of one of the included spacers on the TV if it has recessed VESA attachment points. The Sony does. There are a few different sized spacers in the hardware kit, and the ones that fit the Sony would NOT allow the proper bolt to fit through the hole in the spacer. The spacers that WERE big enough for the bolt would not fit in the Sony recessed attachment point, and the instructions state unequivocally that if there is a recess, you MUST use a spacer.

I called Bell'O customer service and got into a long debate with the woman I was dealing with, who clearly refused to acknowledge that there was a problem. She stated numerous times that I could not use the spacer/bolt combo that I needed to. She said I had to use a smaller bolt...welllllll that won't fit the Sony! So she said use the bigger diameter spacer... Wellllll that won't fit the Sony EITHER!!!

She told me that this was the first time they had heard of this problem. HUH? Are they telling me that they haven't tested their hardware with one of the highest rated, and best selling TV's on the market??? I guess so.

She then told me I could just go on down to my local Hardware store and find a spacer that worked. That just pissed me off, because I shouldn't have to go spend MY time and money to correct a deficiency on THEIR part.

That was NOT the end of the problems.

I fixed the spacer problem by widening the donut hole in the spacer using a 1/4 inch drill bit. That allowed my to use the proper bolt with the TV.
Now it was time to mount the TV and adjust the tilt.....

Once we got the TV on the wall, we "TRIED" to tighten the adjuster to hold the tilt we wanted. It KEPT SLIPPING and would NOT hold. We took the TV back OFF the wall to see what was wrong, and that's when we discovered that a shim on the adjustment system was missing from the unit. That says mountains about Bell'O QUALITY CONTROL!!! Piss Poor!

We ended up improvising a fix for that by cutting down a few of the unused spacers and inserting the tightening bolt through them. That was AFTER we had to unbend the attachment to the TV where we had tried to tighten it before. Ridiculous!

All that being said. IF the unit had the right hardware, and wasn't missing parts, it really IS a very nice, and well-designed wall mount. The instructions on both the DVD and in print are excellent, but I will only give this unit 2-stars due to the TERRIBLE customer support, and TOTAL LACK of Quality Control inspections from the factory.

If you have a large Sony that you are contemplating this mount for... I would carefully consider whether you have the mechanical skills to improvise as we did.

Not recommended at this time due to the problems listed above.

Question : Does anyone know how to turn the speakers off on a samsung lcd hdtv?
Does anyone know how to turn the speakers off on a samsung lcd hdtv? I have a sony surround system hooked up to it and the only way I can get the full effect out of my system is to turn the speakers off on the tv. Does anyone know how to do this?

Answer:
Menuaudio settingsthe menu is actually set up to ask you if you are going to use surround sound, come to think of it, if you have a HDtv just mute the dang thing and use audio out from your HD receiver or the DVD player when not watching local on air TV , cuz that is only broadcast in stereo.

Question : Is there any way to get rid of LCD HDTV input delay for video games?
Hello!I have an LCD HDTV. When I play video games on it, there is a very small (maybe 0.33-0.5 second) delay between inputting commands and seeing a reaction from those commands onscreen. This is not too much of a problem for some games, but on more time-sensitive games, this can create a large disadvantage. Can I get rid of that delay? If so, how?

Answer:
No.

Question : What are these dots on my lcd hdtv?
I purchased a used vizio lcd hdtv from craigslist and didn't notice the dots until after I purchased it. It's only noticable with bright colors on the screen. On one side of the screen there's about 20-25 dark dots. Should I try reselling the tv, or try returning it at a local store?

Answer:
It could be dead pixels, but I have not seen that happen since many years ago. So it could just be dirt on the screen, or splatters from soda pop, beer, etc. So first try cleaning the screen with a soft cloth dampened with plain water.I doubt if you can return it to a local store you did not buy it from without a receipt.

Question : How close can my LCD HDTV be to my large home stereo speakers?
I have a rather small living room and I am wondering how close my LCD HDTV can be to my large home stereo speakers. When I move our older (non HD) TV too close (about 12") to our home stereo speakers the screen gets green spots and distortion. I am wondering if being too close to a large speaker will hurt or interfere with the HDTV. Thanks!

Answer:
LCD TVs are not affected by magnets. Put the speakers where you want. You only have to worry about magnetic fields with CRT (Picture Tube) TVs.

Question : How do i connect my Toshiba Satellite Laptop To my LCD HDTV through VGA and HDMI adapters?
I have a toshiba satellite laptop and trying to connect it to my LCD HDTV, i got the VGA to DVI to HDMI cable adapter and plugged that into my tv but it wont come up on the tv.

Answer:
Sorry, but you cannot connect VGA to HDMI. That will NEVER work.VGA is an analog signal. HDMI requires a digital DVI video signal to work. The DVI-to-VGA adapter cannot be used that way. It only works for connecting a graphics card DVI-I port to a VGA monitor, because a DVI-I output also sends out a VGA signal.

Question : Will a 1080p hdmi cord work with a 720p hdtv lcd?
I have a 32" lcd hdtv samsung 720p. I am trying to hook up my ps3 with it using a hdmi cable. But i dont really know if i need a certain kind of hdmi cable or if a 1080p hdmi cable will work.

Answer:
It doesn't matter what resolution the signal is, the HDMI cable will transmit it.

Question : Why do I confuse my LCD HDTV with the plasma TV we have in the living room?
Why do I confuse my LCD HDTV with the 42 inch plasma we have in the living room. Why do I always get to thinking that my LCD HDTV is a plasma TV when I am watching my TV in my room,I have an Insignia 32 inch(NS-L32X-10A) 1080p and I always feel like I am watching a plasma TV,why is that?

Answer:
LCD TV and plasma TV are the two different type of TV . plasma TV is a very huge up about 50inch , as LCD are smaller TV not more than 40inch . and the lifespans of Plasma TV also slighly shorter and power rating also higher than LCD TV , this is what I knew so far .

Question : Can I use a 1080p lcd hdtv as a pc monitor picture-quality wise?
I know that I can plug it in. But what about using say a 40" 1080p lcd hdtv as a montitor? Would it look as crisp as the 24" viewsonic I have now? Should I stick with lcd's that are MADE to be pc monitors? Thanks!

Answer:
I use my 52" Sony Bravia LCD HDTV as a computer monitor. It's connected to my computer using a DVI-to-HDMI cable, displaying 1080p HIgh Definition (1920x1080 resolution). And it looks fabulous. http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f347/armchairaviator/computer/IMG_0880c.jpgThe text is razor-sharp, the graphics clear and vivid. I can't be happier with the result.A lot depends on the quality of the TV set. An upper-end set like a Sony Bravia or Sharp Aquos will look nice. Lower-end sets might not look as nice.Hope this helps.

Question : Where can I get a filter capacitor for a ProScan lcd hdtv?
And how much does it cost? I am thinking about buying it from my friend for real cheap. It's a 42" 1080p 720 lcd hdtv. I need to know how much the part is and where I can get it at.

Answer:
If you are adept at electronics repair and have all of the necessary tools, the reference in the other answer is a good one. But in my experience, the people who have the necessary experience to take on a job like this don't have to ask where to obtain parts. This may be something that you need a professional technician or a very capable do-it-yourselfer to help you with. Good luck.
