Premier Flip Mount. Buff. Chrome appearance. Easy to install. I used the bolts and nuts included to install under a kitchen cupboard. I'm not using the flip-up feature. My 19" Samsung LCD rotates nicely.

Flip Mount

If you need to mount a TV under a cabinet, this product is a good choice. I used it to mount a 22 inch LCD, and it handles the set well. Easy installation and versatile adjustment of TV positioning made this unit a good solution to under cabinet requirements. Measure carefully to save yourself some fustration. Best price I found was at Amazon.

premier flip down mount

This tv mount works well. We used it to mount a 19 inch tv under our kitchen cabinet. We wanted a smaller tv, but couldn't find a small hdtv with mount capabilities that worked well.

Rating :

Solid product, but could use a few tweaks

I had to suspend a 19" TV from a new kitchen cabinet, and a wall mount wasn't suitable. It's an excellent mount, but installation was a bit tricky, as the vertical shaft was too long to fold up, so I cut off 3" with a hack saw, which removed the screw in stop at the bottom, so it was off to the hardware store for a small hose clamp to keep the TV from sliding off. Once I solved that problem, the rest was easy and I'm quite pleased with the result.

BTW, I wish that it was black and not chrome.

The Sanus VMAA26B in a black polish offers Patent pending Virtual Axis fingertip tilting system provides smooth tilt motion with the touch of a fingertip allowing you to adjust even the largest flat panel TV with the gentle push of your finger. The ingenious engineering behind the Virtual Axis balances a TV???s weight on itself, which means very little effort is required to tilt it. Your TV or computer monitor will stay put every time you tilt it.The Sanus VMAA26B has solid heavy-gauge steel construction, durable black powder-coated finish, virtual axis tilt adjustment system, hinged extension arm extends TV from 3.25 inches to 26 inches off wall and Supports up to 130 lbs.

Customer Review :

Heavy Hitter

While I agree with other reviewers that the mount is substantial and performs wonderfully, I was troubled by three factors:

1) the included Allen wrench was the wrong size, placing into question their inbound and outbound quality control,

2) the necessity to source alternative length M6 screws to meet the 8 - 12mm limits set by Sony's requirement (KDL46EX500 Bravia). I understand this is difficult to meet given the range of products available.

3) having the 30lb articulating arm assembled on the back of the TV requires the installer to lift all that additional weight to mount it to the wall bracket. With the current design, we recommend the installer collapse the arm and zip-tie it closed before lifting and setting the TV+brackets onto the wall bracket. The tie can be cut once hung. If not tied, the installer has to man-handle the arm as it moves freely and lift the set higher and higher as the arm extends away from the back of the TV when trying to locate the arm to the wall bracket. To make the mounting process work to the favor of the installer, our design submitted to Sanus forms a palm-up rest with a hinged locking member on the top of the center bracket. This change would allow the articulating arm to be mounted on the wall and a minimal amount of weight be added to the TV before hanging. Once set on the palm, the hinged locking member is closed, the lower cross-tube is inserted, and the cinch fasteners tightened.

In the end I have come to the conclusion that this mounting system is best suited for those with good DIY skills and practice, i.e. installers. With the large amount of movement possible with this system, it can easily result in a mounting that looks poor and may require removal and adjustment of the wall bracket (and it's too heavy to practice with).

Finally, cut a cardboard template of the TV from the TV box and use it as a guide. It will save you a significant amount of guess work and frustration, and your kids can paint it to look like a TV.

Thanks,

Sanus VMAA26B Wall Mount

Excellent mount. Works as advertised and is very helpful positioning the TV around the fireplace.

Well constructed - well worth the price

After browsing several of the cheap supports and reading reviews of the cheap construction, I decided to spend the extra money on this support. I could not be happier with the decision. I used this mount to install a 42" TV to the wall outside under a patio cover. I was nervous about using a cheap support fabricated from very light sheet metal, fearing that over time any corrosion would weaken it to the point that it failed. I am not at all worried about this mount. It is very well constructed and mounts easily. The instructions were easy to follow and the action of the articulating arm is excellent. I did not need technical support to install the mount but called them with questions about mount sizes prior to the purchase. The technical support person was very helpful and was in Illinois, not somewhere far flung. Also, the Amazon price was heavily discounted off of the price at the only big box electronic chain left.

Sanus VMAA26 HDTV wall mount

I used the product to mount a new Panasonic TC-P54G10 54" HDTV. I found the instructions to be excellent and the variability of the mount to accommodate different mounting situations to also be excellent. I had to mount the TV off center to the position of the old TV. The VMAA26B handled this situation flawlessly. I highly recommend this product.

Faulty Parts and Dodgy Company Policies! BUYER BEWARE!

I purchased the VMAA26 wall mount from Amazon to mount my 42" LCD TV to my living room wall. The product arrived promptly and all parts were accounted for. Following the installation instructions to the letter, we carefully measured the mount and the TV for the perfect location and began installing the backplate to our living room wall. The backplate attaches to the wall with four 2 1/2" lag bolts. As instructed, we marked and drilled the guide holes and started threading the bolts. With each of the four started in their guide holes, we began to tighten the first bolt with a hand wrench as described in the installation instructions. This is where our experience took a severe nose dive. Halfway through tightening the first bolt, it broke off in our wall, and there is no way to remove it. We got a defective bolt. Truly disappointed, we realized there was no way we would be able to mount our TV where we wanted it now.

So we called Sanus's tech support line and spoke with a gentleman named Paul who stated the best he could do for us as tech support was to send us four new bolts and that I should call back between 9am and 4:30pm to speak with Rebecca in the claims department for further assistance. So I called and left a message for Rebecca and she later returned my call.

I explained to Rebecca that I appreciated the replacement bolts, but that the problem went way beyond replacing the defective bolt. At this point there are four 2 1/2" holes in the drywall and studs of our living room wall, one of which still has part of a defective bolt stuck in it. Because of the defective part we received from Sanus, we would now have to repair the existing holes and start all over again somewhere else on our wall to get any benefit from Sanus's product. In addition, my confidence in Sanus's product is now in question. I mean, if one of the four bolts that anchor the mount to the wall is going to break while tightening it with a hand wrench, how can I trust that it will hold a large TV for several years without further issue?

So I asked Rebecca if Sanus would be willing to reimburse me for the product or send out an installer who would be willing to guarantee their work. In between the bolt breaking off in the wall and my conversation with Rebecca, I called around to a few different installers and received estimates in the range of the original cost of the mount itself, about $250-$300. Rebecca told me that Sanus would not be able to satisfy either of my requests. OK, I can understand that. It doesn't make me feel as if Sanus is standing behind their product, but if this is Sanus's policy, there's not much I can do about it I guess.

Regrouping, I figured I would at least be able to return the product, but shipping on something like this is going to be expensive and I'd prefer not to have to spend more money to ship the product back to Amazon. Considering I already have to pay for drywall repair due to a defective product that is giving me zero to negative benefit, I think shipping reimbursement is the least that Sanus could do. So I asked if Sanus would be willing to reimburse me for the shipping cost of returning the mount to Amazon and again Rebecca told me that Sanus would not be able to help me. Rebecca told me that the best Sanus could do was to ship the new set of lag bolts to me. I thanked her for her time and hung up the phone, extremely dissatisfied with Sanus and its products.

So here I sit, writing this review, stuck with a defective product, unconvinced that it will ever deliver on its promise, concerned about Sanus's customer relations policies, and my only options are to double the investment in the mount for professional installation (and cross my fingers nothing else happens) or spend whatever it will take to ship the product back to Amazon in hopes of obtaining a full refund. Oh, and I still need to fix the holes in my living room wall where I wanted the mount to be.

In the end, I won't tell you not to buy Sanus's products. What I will tell you, my fellow consumer, is BUYER BEWARE of Sanus and its products! If you are willing to incur double the cost of the mount for professional installation with a warranty, you might be ok. Then again, you might not. If you opt to install the mount yourself, I would urge you to consider other options for your TV. Take heed of my experience with Sanus's poor customer service and defective parts and ask yourself if it's really worth it to take a chance on finding yourself in my current situation.

Customer Review :

easy enough

This mount worked great. Throw the brackets on the wall and level it. Attach the other to the back of the TV and there you have it. The only one thing I don't like is that my TV is 32 inches and that's the length of the mount. So basically it is a little more visible than I like it but it's advertised for 32 to 56 I believe

Solid and Inexpensive

We're in earthquake country now, so a wall mount is a smart investment if you don't want your TV to fall over during a tremor. For the price... IT'S A STEAL! Very inexpensive, but extremely solid product. Can't believe how easy it was to install either, considering some companies charge $170 to mount a TV nowadays. All it takes is 4 (sizable) screws into your wall studs, 4 smaller screws into the VESA mount on your TV, two more to secure it once the bracket is hung, and that screen is up there SOLID. You'd be a fool not to jump on this if you're in the market for a wall mount.

Great Inexpensive Wall Mount!

This wall mount is sturdy and inexpensive, I was expecting the mount to be of low quality but actually, I'm very impressed! I went to go buy some different anchor screws but other than that, this is a great mount for the value, I give it 5 stars overall, great tilt feature as well. I would recommend this mount to anyone who is looking for a great quality, affordable mount.

Sturdy and secure flat panel wall mount

I bought this wall mount for a Sony KDL-52XBR 52" flat panel TV. It was easy to install and is very sturdy when attached to wood wall studs. The tilt feature is great to get rid of any glare that may be present from the rear of your viewing room. Best of all is how inexpensive it is compared to other wall mounts I researched. Don't worry about hanging your expensive, large flat panel TV to this one, it'll hold it securely. The only problem experienced in this installation was tightening the bottom mount screws once you mount the TV in place. If you have a large arm, it won't fit between the TV and the wall. You'll need an off-set screwdriver to do it from the bottom OR get someone with a smaller arm (your girlfriend or wife) to tighten the screws. They don't have to be rock-solid tight, just tight enough to lock the bottom clamps in place.

Great Quality, Great Price, Locking Cams are Awkward

The quality of this TV wall bracket is outstanding! The metal is of a heavy gage and the built in level bubblers is great! Also this bracket came with a mini electronic stud finder! Once installed on the wall I was able to do pull ups on the bracket with no sign of movement (and I am no lightweight!) The only gripe I have with this wall mount was the locking cams. The screws are installed into the cams to prevent the TV from being pushed up and off of the bracket. The problem is that once the TV is on the wall the cams don't line up great and I had to use a really long magnetic screwdriver (18") to install the lock screw and try really hard not to drop the screw. Other that that I am very pleased with the overall quality of this Flatscreen TV Wallmount and would recommend it to anybody.

Question : What do you think of the brand LG when it comes to lcd hdtv's?
Im looking to purchaseing a 26" LCD HDTV, but i really dont know what brand to purchase. I looked at a LG and noticed the picture quality looked pretty good. It had good color, but dont know if its a good brand over all.

Answer:
the sd picture on your 26" will look good, maybe a little foggy. Use the S-video input for the best results. I would avoid the HD programming option on a set that small because the HD resolution doesn't really shine until a 40" screen but that's with my eyes your results may vary

Question : How do I make my LCD HDTV clear?
I just bought an LCD HDTV, and I am using regular comcast cable. The picture is not clear. I believe I need an hd tuner or something, but the picture is really grainy. Do I have to subscribe to hdtv, or just get a tuner, or both? FYI, the quality is pretty bad right now with niether a tuner or a subscription to hdtv. I'm confused.

Answer:
Do you have a HD cable box ? If not you need to go and get one. Without the HD box there is no HD signal. You get the Box from your cable provider.

Question : Should I wait to buy a nice an LCD HDTV or go big now?
Basically I've done hours of research on different types of LCD's. I have came done to instead of spending the extra money not just buy a cheap 32in LCD HDTV on black friday then in two years sell that and buy a nice 37in.Do you think it would be worth the wait?

Answer:
nope been there done that, once you have your tv your going to regret going to small! and like they say go big or go home!

Question : How do I fix my HP LC3760N LCD HDTV when an intermittent green light is blinking instead of steady power on?
I have an intermittent green light blinking on my HP LC3760N LCD HDTV where the power on light usually comes on. I fell asleep with my TV on during an electrical storm to find my TV in this condition. I have not been able to turn the TV on since, but the blinking green light comes on every time I plug the TV in. Is there a way to fix this problem without spending half the cost (1000/2=500) of the TV?

Answer:
these new tvs are unreliable and fragile and generally only last 4-5 years before the back lighting goes, they don't tell you any of that or that the built-in tuners are obsolete since they cannot receive HD television, I hope it is under guarantee since most faults with these tvs are unrepairable or uneconomic to repair

Question : What Cable/adapter do i need to buy so i can connect my laptop to my new LCD HDTV?
I have a Black Apple MacBook and i just recently got a Vizio LCD HDTV it has HDMI input and PC RGB input but my laptop doesnt have HDMI output what should i get for this?

Answer:
You will need to get a mini-dvi to dvi adapter to attach to MacBook. Then get a dvi to hdmi cable to hook up adapter to tv.mini-dvi to dvi adapter: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8424305&type=product&id=1182557417274dvi to hdmi cable: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8701096&type=product&id=1199495204492Hope this helps

Question : How high should sharpness level be set on lcd hdtv?
We just had our LCD HDTV installed yesterday. It's a Samsung 40 inch. The HD channels look great. The non HD channels look good too but are a little blurry when up close to the TV. Will increasing the sharpness level make the picture more clear or is it the opposite? It was set up at 25% I increased it to 50% and I can't really tell if it's better or worse. Thanks

Answer:
It all depends on how noisy the signal is. If you have a really clean signal, you can run the sharpness up quite a bit before you'll see negative effects like edge ringing and graininess.I'm getting my digital signal over-the-air (antenna) and the signal is so clean that I can max out the sharpness and it still looks great. I generally leave it at about 75%. I'm viewing the shows on an older non-HD CRT. The situation might well be different on an HD set.

Question : How can I connect TV Ears (external hearing aids to a Pro Scan 32" LCD HDTV?
I have a Pro Scan 32" LCD HDTV I need to hook up my external speakers (TV Ears ) they help because i am almost deaf, but I can not find a way to plug them in. They have RCA male plug ins to tv that come into the TV EArs sending unit. Any help is needed.

Answer:
What you're looking for are the red & white audio out jacks. They are the same jacks you would use to connect the TV's sound to a receiver. Do you have the TV's model # ?

Question : How close can my LCD HDTV be to my large home stereo speakers?
I have a rather small living room and I am wondering how close my LCD HDTV can be to my large home stereo speakers. When I move our older (non HD) TV too close (about 12") to our home stereo speakers the screen gets green spots and distortion. I am wondering if being too close to a large speaker will hurt or interfere with the HDTV. Thanks!

Answer:
LCD TVs are not affected by magnets. Put the speakers where you want. You only have to worry about magnetic fields with CRT (Picture Tube) TVs.
