I have a 37" lg lcd tv. When I plug the hdmi cord with my ps3 and to the tv than i go to the hdmi channel and press the power button until i here two beep sounds but after that the screen goes blank and nothing happens

simple connect the HDMI cable to your PS3 then to your TV after that get your remote control to your TV and click on INPUT some TVS have INPUT1 or INPUT2 which ever one you plugged it in to on your TV is the one you will use,after that turn on your PS3 and it should work.Note:if you connected you HDMI cord to input1 on tv,then on you must connect to the same on your remote control for the tv.

I got a LG LCD TV and it comes with an Universal Control. I made the remote control the Sony DVD, but I cant make it control the Hyundai Digital Techonology STB. The code isnt listed on manual, does anyone know it?

May be you can try putting Universal Remote Control in-front of Hyundai Digital Techonology STB remote control...sometimes it's able to obtain information from it. OR you can use search mode on Universal Remote Control....it may work

Many of the HDTV broadcasts are not full HDTV so some of them have black bars on either the sides or the top and bottom. This isn't your tv it is the broadcast itself. You can adjust the settings on your TV (and/or cable box) to change the way the picture is displayed but these options will leave portions of the picture outside of the viewing area (the zoom option) OR distort the image to make it fit the screen (the stretch option).

Question : Why is the picture on some of the local channels on my lg lcd tv small ?
Is that have to do with my picture setup or with the channels itself? PLEASE HELP ME !!

Some channels may have widescreen content, but it is not up converted. So it ends up as a letterboxed 4:3 image within your 16:9 widescreen (small widescreen image with black borders all the way around).If you press the "Ratio" button, do you have any setting for Zoom or Cinema Zoom (not sure if that works on HD channels)?

Very decent televison. I'd say LG is second tier/B grade.Your A grade TV's will be Sony, Samsung and Sharp.Depending on the price the tv you are looking at should be well worth it.

Well, the LG LCD TV expect 2 pins to be inserted into the variable audio output and Altec Lansing has only one pin. Is it useful to use a converter which will bifurcate it into two pins or should I go for a different cable altogether. Is an amplifier really required as provided in any home theatre system?
