nice TV
I bought this a few days ago, to replace my Vizio TV. This LG 55"V is wonderful, easy to use, bright and vivid image. The speaker system is not good enough for such a big TV, I had a Samsung Sound bar which works well with this TV. Bose is optional for high end audio system.

I shopped around for a model which would have all the bells and whistles and this fit the bill. So many options and user friendly. I would have payed more for this TV. LG is at the top of the list for quality and performance.

Excellent, but with a few flaws.
Very few complaints about this tv. Had it for about a month now and I love it. One thing I thought might be a little better is the THX mode, it only makes the picture look dark and blurry. It's only to be used with movies. Not really for video games or anything else. The energy saving mode only works with a few settings, I mostly leave it on 75% or 100 because otherwise it looks like the center is brighter than the edges such as when white text is on a black screen. The outter text is dimmer while the center is bright.
The 240Hz motion blur is excellent, just adjust the settings to make it maximum instead of minimum. The sound is great, compared to my dad's 55inch Samsung, this has alot more depth, surround and bass. I was expecting to be blown away by the 2M:1 contrast ratio. But again compared to my dads 100,000:1 Samsung, there isnt THAT much of a difference. A little yes.
The remote isn't very ideal, it gets fingerprinted and greasy VERY easily and is pretty much impossible to get off. The moment I looked at it brand new I thought 'wow, pretty remote'. 2mins later I was saying 'wow, ugly remote'. I love the LED lighting, the view is great from any angle in my house. Theres not too much of a glare from sunlight, only a hot spot but the screen doesnt reflect everything like some other LCDs or LEDs. On my dads samsung I can see everything being reflected and its really annoying. I love the look of the tv, so cant complain there. I was a little dissapointed when I saw there was no internet mode build into the TV as with samsung. I tried to connect an ethernet cord and found none. I just use my PS3 to browse the web. Thought it could have included it though. The HDMI voice problem doesnt exist on my television.
Not a perfect tv, but a very good one and will impress your family and friends. I hope this lasts me for many years to come.

So far, so good but
I've only had this for a week, and the picture is amazing.
Only problem/complaint so far: This TV does NOT have a matte screen. I'm not sure what's going on, if they changed it at one point or another, but I feel misled.
I'm rather pissed off that the price went down $100 only 4 days after I bought it.

Awesome for the price
I just got this TV today and have been fiddling with it for quite a while now and I figured out how it works and what is great for it. This TV is a great deal and in my opinion rivals more known brands.
I love how easy it is to set up your picture the way you want it. Sure there are pre set ones like sport, cinema, game, and the intelligent sensor, but I used the picture wizard and I got the exact kind of picture that I wanted in around two minutes. When I tried the Intelligent Sensor I didn't like it. I like a well lit room unlike some people and the TV screen went too dark for me to see so I used the Picture Wizard and I love it.
When watching cable TV I loved the feature it has to make the human voice sound better. It's like the sitcom is in your living room almost. I fiddled with the sound to the way I wanted and the Infinite Sound with Dolby Digital makes this TV sound like it already has a surround sound system. I won't be getting a surround system anytime soon because the speakers on this TV are just that good. The bass is very deep. Watching movies are going to be a blast.
I also own a PS3 (HDMI also) so I played a couple games to see what the picture and sound was like. I played Grand Theft Auto IV and God of War II so far and wow is it great. I saw GTA like never before. The 120hz makes this game look more like a movie (I'm so used to 60hz I didn't know this was possible) and the sound makes the footsteps, gunfire, and cars etc. sound spot on lifelike to real sound. God of War II was good also but GTA experienced much more change.
Alright here are my pros and cons for this TV
Pros: Easy set up Picture Wizard is a must try The full 1080p resolution is phenomonal The speakers mimic surround sound Quality DOLBY DIGITAL Makes human voices more dynamic and seem like the person is in front of you Easy to navigate menus Great for cable, movies, and games 120hz is a fast refresh rate Less expensive than other brands with similar features
Cons: Intelligent Sensor didn't work very well for my lighting style
Conclusion: If you want a TV with a lot of bang for your buck, give this one a look.

Couldn't be happier
This is my first "HD" TV. After doing a fair amount of research, I decided to go with this one (To my surprise, I was expecting to end up with a more well known brand name for best value).
I purchased this TV mainly to play video games on. I play Xbox 360 games (Mainly FPS and Fighting Games) and picture quality along with having no "motion blur" was very important to me. The 120hz is more then enough to eliminate any blur you may be afraid of, the TV displays fast moving action perfectly.
The picture is also perfect, I feel like I have an advantage over others online that don't have a TV as nice, I can see anyone from across the map - I love this TV.
I also watch a good amount of movies on this TV, and the pre-installed "Cinema" settings are WONDERFUL! The screen looks exactly like a movie screen (Just not as big). The true motion, the frame rate change, everything just "works" to create a great movie experience.
I tend to hook up my laptop to this TV via HDMI a good amount to watch TV shows/movies/anime and I've had no problem with that either. This TV functions great as a second monitor for a PC.
Although I barely use the sound, When I do it sounds great. Of course it can't compare to a sound system, but as far as TV speakers go they are the best I've come across. The TV is fairly light (nice when moving it) and has a nice little device in the back for organizing your cables. It looks great, performs great, is well built - I'm very happy with this purchase. At this price, this TV is a must buy if you are looking for a 32 inch HD TV.

I have always been a fan of LG and their LCD televisions. This TV reinforces my appreciation for the quality LG provides in their products.

Awesome HD LCD
This LCD is awesome. I'm by no means an expert in LCD, but I have a Samsung 22" (doubles as my pc monitor), both my daughters have 22" Sharp Aquos in thier rooms, I believe all of these are supposed to be a "higher" quality LCD brand than the LG, but this LG definitely is as good, it has an amazing picture. I have it connected to HD Directv and I can not see any flaws in this picture. I've watched March Madness (basketball), HD channels on the sattelite, Blueray Movies on it and saw no 'jittering' no 'ghosting' whatsoever. Worked right out of the box... I'm very pleased, espicially with the low price I paid for it ([...])

Awesome Monitor
This monitor is awesome! Just finished playing Bethesda's Fallout 3 with all add-ons and am starting Borderlands. Smooth motion, no blurring - even in the most intense firefights! Stylish case, cool power indicator, plenty of miscellaneous inputs and a multitude of functions and features. Works great for playing hd videos from my Flip Mino HD! I'm even impressive with the sound!
oh yea, works great as a tv also! ;o)

Pros - Its a beautiful picture. I love how easy it is to use. I love the energy saving option it gives you. Its a little dark at night with the sensor but in the morning its fine. The speakers are fine. No problems there. HD is BEAUTIFUL!
Cons - Sometimes, even if its on its full 120Hz, it still can motion blur. But not with everything moving fast. I STRONGLY dislke that when I press mute on my CABLE remote, it will not mute. I was told its a LG thing. Instead the stereo menu pops up. So, dont loose the TV remote! Lol... that or just press volume down until its quiet. Like I said, when its on the intelligent sensor options, it is pretty dark at night. Oh, and there is ONLY a power button on this TV. No other buttons (volume, input, ect) ... just the power button. thats fine with me but some people who like buttons on there TV, it ONLY has the power button. It takes a few secons to start up, but once it does, its pretty! :-D

Great TV
This is my first flat screen, but in comparing it with those of friends' and family, this TV has the better picture. It was simple to set up to DirecTV and my DVD player. Love the voice moderation feature that keeps commercials from blowing you into the next county. :0) I read reviews and compared features-to-cost with other similar models. This model won hands-down.

Pretty good TV for the price
Picture quality is good, although I had to mess with the color settings a lot (I'm still not sure I've got it 100% correct). There is some slight discoloration around the edges, but this is only noticeable when the TV is displaying one solid color.
I can't stand to have the smoothing option (called TruMotion) turned on. It's supposed to make TV look better, but I think it makes everything look like a soap opera. Luckily, it's easy to turn off (Menu>Picture>TruMotion). Note: you'll have to turn off TruMotion for each individual input. TV will look a little juddery without the smoothing, but it's a limitation of all 120Hz TVs, and it's a whole lot better than having TruMotion turned on (in my opinion).
That said, movies and video games look fantastic with the smoothing turned off. My Xbox 360 and PS3 games look great, as do Blu-ray movies.
I maxed out the 3 HDMI ports pretty quickly (Xbox 360, PS3, DVR), but I figure if I need another one, it'd probably be time to get a receiver anyway. It should be noted that there is only one set of component inputs.
Speakers are fine, nothing to write home about but they get the job done.
Remote requires you to point at a pretty specific spot (the lower-right corner of the TV). Kind of annoying, but I got used to it (I sit about 10 feet away).
The swiveling stand is nice (I turn it to face the kitchen when I'm making dinner), but it only turns about 20 degrees.
Overall, I'm very happy with what I got for the price I paid!

Great TV, amazing service
This TV looks great, super easy to set up and use, the picture is outstanding. I have used all the ports and features and have yet to find a complaint. The seller was amazing too, in home delivery and verification and 1-year in home warranty which doesn't look like I will ever need it, but I am very satisfied with everything.

Great TV for a great price
I got a steal of a deal on this TV @ $700 from another vendor. I'm only using it to watch Bluray movies in beautiful 1080P, being driven off my PC with the VGA (15 pin) cable. I don't even have it hooked up to cable TV, though I am tempted now to get HDTV. The movies look absolutely incredible! The interface for the onscreen controls are very easy to use, though I haven't made any adjustments from the defaults.
One tip I have for people looking to play large (8GB+) MKV files stutter-free is to try KM Player.

Great TV for its price
*I will lengthen this review after I've had more time with the TV*
My favorite feature so far has to be the "Picture Wizard." This tool only takes about 1 minute to use and makes noticeable differences in picture quality.
The ONLY complaint I have so far is that the "TruMotion" feature is a joke. Turning it on any level (1 to 10) makes the picture unbearable. Very hard to describe this but it looks like a "bad soap opera." I keep it turned off all the time. I wish I could have gotten the same TV without TruMotion.
Everything else works great as far as I can tell, and it definitely has a stylish look to it. Hard to go wrong with a 1080p picture, especially for the vast majority of consumers.

Question : How can I remove a scratch from the screen of my LG LCD tv ? PLEASE MY HUSBAND WILL GO NUTS !!?
Please help me ! My kids sorta scratched the screen and my husband is gonna go NUTS ! Is there anyway I can remove it or make it unnoticable ? Please I appreciate it !!
Answer:
I would try a cleaner for lcd tvs and a microfiber cloth. Rub in small circles without pressing too hard. You may be able to buff it away if it is just a surface mark. Don't press hard (you could really damage the lcd) or use a regular spray that could run.

Question : Why is the picture on some of the local channels on my lg lcd tv small ?
Is that have to do with my picture setup or with the channels itself? PLEASE HELP ME !!
Answer:
Some channels may have widescreen content, but it is not up converted. So it ends up as a letterboxed 4:3 image within your 16:9 widescreen (small widescreen image with black borders all the way around). If you press the "Ratio" button, do you have any setting for Zoom or Cinema Zoom (not sure if that works on HD channels)?

Question : Iam planning to but an LG LCD TV may be scarlet or Jazz Scarlet Model is 32LG60UR and Jazz is 32LG60FR?
But the problem is... do u think LCD tv will gv me a clear quality of channels with cable TV or i hv to go for Tatasky or Big TV????
Answer:
If u have not already purchsed a LG LCD TV please don't if you want peace of mind. I have had a very bad experience with LG, I purchased a LG LCD TV in March 2007. In July 2008, the panel got spoilt, a couple of months after the warranty expired. Not only I had to replace the whole panel (it costs more than a New CRT TV), LG took more than 2 months to replace it. Further, the authorised service engineer wanted to do a underhand repair for the half the price and show on records that the panel was replaced. Again after another 2 months, the power supply board got spoilt. This also had to be replaced and it costs Rs. 2500. There are only three major parts in a LCD TV, the panel+module, power supply and PCB board. Two of them have already conked of on my brand new LCD TV. The total costs of the TV to me after the two repairs is in the range of Rs.60,000!!!. If youwant peace please go for a Sony Bravia, stay away from LG.

Question : I cannot get my LG LCD TV to act as a PC monitor. It shows the boot screens on start up then goes 'No Signal'?

Try a lower resolution. A TV displays "no signal" if you are trying to run at a resolution too high for it to handle.
