Introducing the world's first consumer television with the innovative LiFi¿ light source. LiFi stands for LIght FIdelity. This is a brand-new way to achieve long light source life, quick start-up time and high color fidelity for projection displays. Unlike conventional LCD projection TVs, the LiFi light source lasts so long it might never need to be changed. The High Intensity Discharge (HID) lamps used in conventional LCD projection TVs contain electrodes that deteriorate, causing diminished brightness and possible damage to the lamp itself. LiFi does not utilize electrodes, which helps achieve more stable performance and a long lifespan. The light source in Panasonic LiFi HDTVs offers full spectrum illumination that faithfully reproduces brilliant red, emerald green and natural skin tones. Whether you're watching hidden camera footage of rare Amazon Forest dwellers or taking in the local newscast, the lifelike color is a bright, beautiful enhancement to your HDTV experience. The LiFi lamp is an advancement in technology that offers advantages that you can see and hear - or not, in the case of scintillation noise. HID lamps generate noise, especially at high brightness levels. You won't hear the hum with the LiFi because it operates at lower wavelengths. Plus, because the small LiFi bulb heats up quickly when you power up, the start-up time of the HDTV is as low as 10 seconds. Once your HDTV is ready to watch, there's no flicker, as with some LCD TVs.Everything about the LiFi HDTV is designed to bring you to a new level of viewing pleasure. The amazing colors are boosted by the floating feeling provided by the flat panel design, and the audio is rendered more lifelike by the invisible speakers that help fuse picture and sound.

Guys this TV is the Future!
Guys I bought this thing in Jan, and I have just now hooked it up and got the ball running. People this TV picture is Outstanding! Period! I mean I had like 15 people over come over and each and every one said this was the best picture they had seen all hands down. I love this Tv and backed with a 5yr warranty you can't go wrong. Panasonic says this bulb may never have to be changed. Wow! Sad news though guys this model will soon be phased out. Why because Panasonic is moving towards an all LCD Model trend. But hey LIFI will still be used so the way I look at are that when I want to by another one of these puppies it will definitly be LCD. Great Tv, Good Buy and a sure must have!

A GREAT HDTV!
Big picture, big sound. It's already amazing by itself, but once it's connected to a PS3 and a Home Theater with HDMI cables, it can't be beat... not to mention that it's only about 70lbs!

Great TV
I've had this TV for about 10 months now and I still can't believe how good the picture is when I'm watching high def sports! I traded in a Mits 65" for this one after a week of listening to a very noisy unit. Color wheel, cooling fan, all makes for a lot of noise. Noise that THIS set doesn't make. Another advantage over the Mits is that if I'm moving around the room or I have a lot of people over, we can see the picture pretty well at an angle. If you weren't dead center to the Mits, you couldn't see the picture at all. Here is my review of the unit, http://www.amazon.com/Mitsubishi-WD-65734-65-Inch-1080p-HDTV/dp/B000RIWEN6/ref=cm_cr-mr-title where I get slammed for slamming it! But frankly this is a better tv to my eyes. Do take into cosideration that I rarely watch movies, I bought this to watch football and hockey. So some reviews that go on about the blacks appearing grey...well I don't notice that. Looks like the LIFI is a winner!

Great picture, while it lasts!
I had bought this TV just over 3 years ago. Picture quality was great, but the sound is a bit low, especially anything hooked up through the HDMI ports. Also, you need to be a USMC sharpshooter to hit the right spot for the remote to work. Problem is, our first service call was within a few months of purchase...no problem, it's under warranty still. Well, then there was another, still under warranty. Now, at year 3, the warranty is up and my 3rd service call technician just informed me that the OPT/TV unit has to be replaced, which would cost almost $2000 to fix! While I don't expect an item to last forever, for the amount of money this cost, I would expect more than 3 years.

NOT THE OPERATOR. It's the equipment !!!!
I've had my set for 3 years now and I'm replacing the 3rd lamp now. It cracks me up hearing some of these reviewers saying "operator error".If it was operator error the problem would be more wide spread instead of localized on one model. Plus the T.V. is set up to cool itself down. You can't turn it off and turn it right back on. It will cool off first automatically.
I do love the picture ( when its running ) and it sounds great , but a $300.00 a year operating cost is ridiculous !!! I'm lucky becuase I went ahead and drop the loot for the extended warranty. But as soon as the warranty is out this suckers going in the trash...

Very unhappy with this TV
I won't go into all the details but I have had this TV for about three years and during that time it has been inoperable for over four months. I have had the bulb replaced twice, the ballast replaced once and now the entire projection unit needs to be replaced. Thank goodness I paid for the extended warranty. Each time the set had to be serviced the parts have been back ordered and the TV has been set aside for four or more weeks until the parts arrive. I paid $2500 for this TV plus the cost of the extended warranty and I'm just about ready to toss this thing for good.

PT-50LC14 - excellent HDTV
We bought our Panasonic PT-50LC14 Sept. 30, 2004. According to the Service Menu, it has 10,019 hours of use, and has been turned on 2932 times. It's been a great TV - we've had 0 problems. The original lamp is still going strong.

Has been a great TV!
The negative reviews surprise me. I have had mine for 5 years without any problems. I am even still running the same bulb. I have moved three times. This TV has been crated and tossed around in a moving van and it still runs great. Maybe I have just been lucky, but I definitely got my money's worth.

Good TV, but not 1080
I purchased this TV just under 4 years ago and had the bulb replaced for the first time today. The TV was still in working order except for a message stating that the bulb needed replacement - obviously a timer that has no regard for the actual lamp.
I have had great service from this TV and have no complaints about it functionally, except for one glaring observation ...
This TV does NOT output 1080i!!!
The original packaging and TV had stickets all over it claiming 1080i. Turns out it can read 1080i signals, but output from the LCD panel is rated at 1280x720 only. I would NOT have bought the TV if I knew it was only 720p, but the 1080i stickers were very prominent and misleading. It took a lot of digging to find out there was no 1080i output, way longer than being able to return it!!
In my defence I did a lot of research and the 720p output was never mentioned, although 1080i was everywhere. Panasonic made a blatant attempt to promote this as a 1080i TV so I feel cheated and would hesitate strongly when considering them again.

STUNNING PICTURE!
This model appears to be the same as the TH42PZ85U and was purchased from COSTCO. Ever since purchasing a Panasonic SD9 high definition video camera I have been wishing to upgrade my TV to the HD format. After looking at many LCD and Plasma televisions I found myself drawn to the Panasonic Plasma HDTV. After a six month wait I took the plung and purchased the 42" Panasonic 1080p HD set. I haven't used it for regular television broadcasts yet, but have set it up to play my Blu-ray player(also a Panasonic), an HD player and a DVD recorder. The footage that I have shot with the Panasonic HD camera is nothing short of STUNNING on this set! Watching this footage reminds of the days of 70mm presentations in movie theatres when we saw stunning images from films like "Lawrence of Arabia", "The Sound of Music", "West Side Story", etc. The Blu-ray, HD and HD video all have incredible color, brightness and sharpness. The Panasonic Plasma was not difficult to set up and I'm am very pleased with my purchase. Highly recommended!

Question : Green and Red Spots on Panasonic LCD TV?
I have a Panasonic LCD Model PT-61LCX65. It's just over a year old and has Red and Green and one blue spot on the screen. You can mostly notice them when darker colors are being displayed. I can't find any info on what this might be caused from. I don't believe it's the bulb though. Any ideas??I have a Panasonic LCD Model PT-61LCX65. Answer:
You said SPOTS....not pixels.Spots the size of a quarter are generally DUST that has gotten into the Light Engine and it's blocking the light off of the LCD panel.....You need a TV Tech to Safely open up the unit and blow the dust off the optical path......the guy has got to have BIG 'Nads to do that, Because SOME units should just have the Optical Engine replaced, instead of opening them up to introduce MORE dust into a sealed engine.....DON'T do this yourself, and remember THAT Big-Nad Tech is TRYING to save you money so you DON'T have to buy a NEW light engine anyways.....It's a Last-Ditch effort before spending $800 to $1000 for a Light Engine.....

Question : I have a panasonic viera LCD 37in tv and an LG dvd/vcr combo and would like to know how to setup the remotes?
LG remote and Panasonic remotes only use on their own devices, how do i interlink them?....also how do i setup to record what is on Digital channels ?
Answer:
Open your owners manual for the tv and follow the direction of programming the remote to control the dvd/vcr. You'll need to connect the cable from the cable company to the vcr for you to record it on the vcr. You are not going to get the best picture out of the vcr, it is not a digital recorder.

Question : How is Panasonic LCD TV - TC-26LX70 ?
http://review-about.blogspot.com/2007/08/panasonic-lcd-tv-tc-26lx70.html
Answer:
This is a really nice 26" LCD with 2 HDMI inputs and 1366X768 (720p) resolution. Pricing seems to be in the $600-$750 range. Panasonic makes a quality LCD, as well as plasma HDTV. You could do a whole lot worse for a small LCD HDTV.

Question : Info on air filters in Panasonic PT-50LC14 LCD TV. How to clean them?
I own a Panasonic PT-50LC14 LCD tv. I was asked how to clean the air filters on the inside by another owner. I haven't a clue! If someone knows the answer I will be so grateful to that person. Thanks!
Answer:
Neither LCDs or Plasma TVs require any maintenance.

Question : Will this computer play world of warcraft & hook up to my panasonic lcd tv.?
http://www.emachines.com/products/products.html?prod=ET1831-07
Answer:
Sure, but you'd have to put in a video card by yourself. That computer has integrated graphics, and integrated graphics are crap. Everything else seems fine though. Make sure that the video card you buy has HDMI. Sadly, emachines usually have pretty crappy power supplies, so u might need to replace that too depending on the video card youll get.

Question : How can I fix the color spill in a 60 inch Panasonic LCD Projection TV.?
My tv looks somewhat like a lava lamp. There are blotches of blue that constantly change in shape and position on my screen. If my TV is displaying a blue still image it will also burn into the screen for about a minute. The color on the TV is perfect. I just wish I could get rid of the blue. This happened right after changing the lamp, but I was told that they were not related. Can anyone google better than me?
Answer:
If you have a panasonic LCD projection and the model #s has an LCX in it then: You have damaged data in your memory ic. This is a well known problem, and any panasonic technician can repair it in less than 30 minutes. This should be covered by warranty. Call panasonic customer service to set up your service call. I have personally done this upgrade. If this isn't your model number you could have dust in your optics. This usually needs a tech to remove the engine and clean the optics.
