This TV was easy to set up. It is a decent TV, however, the picture quality is not quite what I expected. The sound is ok.

Cannot say enough good things about Samsung televisions
I purchased this television to replace an old, old bedroom tv. I cannot say enough good things about the Samsung line of televisions. At the same time I purchased this one, I also purchased a 40 inch.
This television (the 26 inch) has a high quality picture vs. our 26 inch Sony. This television "hands down" outdoes my Sony in sound, picture quality and adjustment features. In fact, if you stand to the side of our Sony, the picture becomes very blurry--not so with the Samsung.
The menu is very user friendly and I really like the fact that you can set the volume to adjust with channel changes. Our cable system is such that some stations are much louder than others. With a quick adjustment on the Samsung, that no longer is a problem.
Amazon's shipping is so fast and free shipping is sure a plus. We actually paid less for this television than we did for our Sony and this is a better television.
I would absolutely recommend this television to any looking for a high quality flat screen. I just recommended a Samsung to a friend, who went to an "unnamed" store to see it in person and was very impressed.

For only getting a standard signal input from Dish Network it has a pretty good picture. DVD's look even better. Sound is All right. I haven't been able to see it in HD yet. I recently bought a 22 inch one for my wife and we have a few HD signals on hers. It's the same make only a little smaller. Picture is awesome. I also have the 46 inch Samsung LCD model 650 with a touch of red. I have it hooked up to Dishes HD reciever and all I can say is WOW! Picture is unbelievable. The best Ive seen in HD

Beautiful TV and great price; currently no sound issues
I bought this TV to replace my old Sony tube TV which was defective and had a greenish screen. That TV was only a few years old, too, which doesn't say too much for Sony products. This TV, however, is so beautiful; it is FAR superior to the old tube TV I had. There is just no comparison. The colors are vibrant and the contrast is amazing, especially in HD. It is my first HD TV and I can definitely see why people love these TVs so much.
The sound is just okay. I do not have the sound distortion problem resulting from using the QAM tuner and not a cable box with Comcast with this TV. Hopefully, I will never get this problem since it is a major issue with the 32" Samsung TV we bought shortly after this one. You can see what I mean by reading my review on the LN32A330 model. Apparently, most of Samsung's tuners are defective in these TVs and do not work well with cable signals (mainly Comcast) unless there is a cable box. This results in distorted or "robotic" sound on HD channels at regular intervals.
I highly recommend this TV ONLY if you use a cable box. I personally wouldn't take a chance with it if you have Comcast or any other cable without a cable box. My 26" doesn't have the sound problem, but it could only be a matter of time before it pops up, which I have heard does happen.

Customer Review :
Nice bang for your buck.
All around great tv. Picture quality is very great, sound, and ease of use. The remote is my favorite, with the favorite channel function, it's so easy to breeze through the channels I watch the most. This tv is great for the big size, and the small price.

Great TV
I bought it 2009 black Friday. It is more than 7 months and I like this TV. I am satisfied with this product. Great picture quality when I see Blu-ray or DVD or even when i attach my laptop. I know picture quality would be great if the cable, basic digital from Comcast, supply good quality for real too. Its not TV its cable :)

Incredible picture
I bought this TV a few weeks ago and was amazed by picture quality compare with my old analog Toshiba. Especially if you are on HD channels. Sport, Animal Planet, Discovery, History HD will blow you away. And price at AMAZON on Black Friday week was $50 less then in Best Buys plus free shipping. Delivery was arranged by shipping company who called and made an appointment so there were no problems with delivery also. Very pleased by AMAZON and SAMSUNG.

Redefining the standards for viewing quality, energy-efficiency and home entertainment decor, the Samsung 6000 Series LED HDTV deliver unparalleled picture quality and enhanced connectivity while also helping you reduce your carbon footprint with the reduced power consumption of the LED screen. Using Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) as its primary light source--rather than traditional Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamps (CCFL)--this cutting edge HDTV also offers the benefits of an ultra-high contrast ratio and a slim depth that allows for a more artful design.

Samsung LED TV
A great LED by Samsung. I was able to purchase this TV from Amazon nearly $400 lower than Best Buy's price, they even had a big promotion going.
Unfortunately, this TV reflects everything! If it were not for the price, these could replace mirrors. Additionally, the 3D TV's were released a week after my purchase which also included Samsung Widgets, two nice features I missed out on.

Performs spectacularly!
I'd been researching TVs for a while when I saw this one on sale for a good price. The image is very clear, and the colors are very vibrant (and you can adjust the heck out of them too, if they're not to your liking)! The TV itself is a nice piece of engineering as well, very thin and sleek-looking. The "touch of red" in the bottom border of the frame had initially worried me, but it is very subtle, and I've grown to like the slight accent it adds to the otherwise all-black TV.
If I had to say something bad about this TV, and believe me it's tough, I'd say that in a very dark room, when displaying a black screen, you can notice the uneven splotchy-ness due to the LED edge-lighting. However, if there is any sort of image at all on the screen, this is completely un-noticable. Besides, how often do you sit at home staring at a blank screen? The very slight unevenness is definitely worth having the TV so thin thanks to the edge-lighting.
Great TV from a great company (Samsung)! Also, Amazon gets some credit too :-P/

LCD still has high speed artifacts
I purchased this TV from Amazon about 45 days ago. I selected this to replace my perfectly functional three year old Samsung 50" DLP. I am disappointed at how much of the low light scenes are missing (just black areas on the screen) and I am also disappointed in how frequently there are blurred images during high speed and high contrast scenes. Bright vivid scenery is without question far more brilliant on this TV than my DLP but for this price I expected less noticeable shortcomings in comparison to the DLP technology which has lost its market share.

Amazing TV
We got the Samsung UN55B6000 55-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED HDTV on March from Amazon and couldn't have been happier with this purchase! We had a 32" Sony LCD (which we got in early 2008) but it was just too small for our living room. This TV however fits perfectly. The picture is crisp and clear whether or not we are watching an HD channel. Definitely a great purchase and worth the extra few hundred dollars to get the LED over the LCD.

Fantastic TV with superb picture quality
I was hesitant to buy a LED tv because of the price. But after comparing the bulky looking LCD and plasma, this is much lighter to handle and beautiful to look at and worth the additional cost. I read a lot of reviews on Amazon.com for this product before I bought this TV. A lot of people mentioned something about having problems with images at the corners. I have had the TV for 3 months and have not noticed anything similar to that. The image quality is excellent and the colors are beautiful (specially in the Dynamic setting, the colors are so bright and clear that my eyes start hurting after few minutes of watching. My setting is usually at Standard for watching regular TV programs and 'movie' while watching movies.) I didn't have to make any changes to the TV setting after I removed it from the box. Very easy to setup and has a lot of good features. Have connected my desktop and use it as a PC. So I have not used the infolink features yet. But movies from youtube and other websites are excellent. Very satisfied with the TV. Excellent purchase from Amazon.com with better pricing compared to other retailers.

Beware of Samsung TV's
I have owned this TV for approximately two years and it will no longer turn on. If you do a search on Samsung LCD TV's, you will see that others are having the exact same problem. The problem is with the capacitors. Samsung knows this is a problem and will charge you shipping plus a service fee of $50 and tell you that they will fix it for free and refund the $50 IF it is determined that the capacitors really are the problem. The problem with that is that they can tell you pretty much anything they want once they receive your TV and you aren't there to verify or don't know enough about electronics. I bought TWO Samsung TV's the same year, 2008.....I'll never buy another one of their TV's again. I'll also never rely on Consumer Reports product reviews again either.

Best 19 inch LCD on Amazon
Ideal for DORM as computer monitor & TV save space with Excellent picture and best surround sound built in such a small size so I replaced 32" VIZIO in Living room to 32 Samsung like this one and same great picture on HDMI and I use to use external JVC surround Sound system because Vizio wasn't powerful enough which is not needed with Samsung! Thanks for checking reviews smart buyers.

Excellent TV
I think this TV was a great buy for my bedroom. I do not see the halo that someone described. I also can go into the menu and bring up the sleep timer using my remote and I don't find that difficult at all. I was not aware about the base being able to mount to the wall and so that was a nice "Freebee!" The base mounted very nicely to the enclosed brackets and so I have a TV that can be used in the bedroom and I can carry to another room if necessary very easily.
As for the picture and sound. Both are just fine and I had no problem navigating the settings putting the picture size, sound equilizer and quality to my preferences. The TV auto programed very nicely and there were no channels that I needed to adjust. I do have cable FYI. I have two other LCD's also and I have no problems with this TV. Good Luck!

Great value and very easy to use... for the most part.
We have been using this TV in my daughter's room for over a year now without any problems at all. We got my 3 year-old this TV because we didn't want the worry of her potentially pulling her former, heavy 19" tube-television onto herself. Aside from the fact that this TV is light weight and thus very portable (and non-life threatening :), it is very easy to use as she turns it on/off by herself.
The only criticism is that there are no actual buttons, in the traditional sense, on the TV itself. There are the symbols for Power, Volume, Ch., etc. and when you touch the symbols, they perform the function. Easy enough to do but they should be back-lit. Without the lights on, it's very hard to find any function except for the on/off button which is the first one from the bottom up.
After months of my daughter mixing the remote with her toys, my wife and I have developed the motor skills to just "know" where to touch the TV now to perform whatever function we happen to need. But it was a bit of a nuissance in the beginning.
We currently have it connected to our Comcast cable box and a DVD player. The cable is non-HD and connected via a coaxial cable and the image looks great, not grainy or pixelated. The DVD player is non-high def. but connected with the 5 component cables as if it were high def. and the image quality is very sharp.
I uploaded pictures of the buttons and screen images of cable and DVD.

Questions & Answers
Question : Any one buy the Samsung LCD tv with 120 mhz?
I'm looking to buy a LCD tv and have the Samsung 550 and 650 in mind. The biggest difference between the two that I can tell is that the 650 has 120 mhz and the 550 doesn't. I have read that the 120 mhz comes into play when watching fast action scenes or sports and prevents blurring. My question is, is it really with the extra money and will i notice the difference? Thanks!
Answer:
LCD technology produces two artifacts with on screen motion. 1) Motion Jitter - this is the most obnoxious of the LCD motion artifacts; it produces shaky, jittery trailing edges on moving objects. Best seen with scrolling credits at the end of a movie.2) Motion Blur - stretches the moving object out behind the image, best seen with high contrast between the moving object and the background.120 Hz does a good job with the removal of jitter. 120 Hz does a poor job on the removal of motion blur. In fact, the 120 Hz motion compensation co-processors do not have the processing power to complete their calculations under all live sporting event and movie scenes. They can and often do produce their own artifacts called halo (incomplete background processing) on the trailing side of moving objects. I find halo artifacts to be as obnoxious as jitter and recommend that you turn 120 Hz OFF during a movie, therefore, 120 Hz will be of some limited benefit during sports programs and gaming. Is this feature worth the price and complexity? That is subjective and a decision that only you can make. Come into my shop in Crystal Lake, Il. and I would be more than happy to show you a demonstration of jitter, blur and 120 Hz operation and then you could make-up your own mind as to the effectiveness of 120 Hz. Most of my customers are shocked when they see the truth!

Question : how do i set non cable channels on my samsung lcd tv?
im trying to set the channels on my new Samsung 32" Lcd 720p Hdtv and i do not have cable. I keep getting weak or no signal.
Answer:
Get an antenna, connect it to your tv, run the over the air channel scan as outlined in your owner's manual. If you still can't get a signal, you can try moving the antenna closer to a window, and then try an antenna with a signal booster, if all that fails, an outdoor antenna could work. Or you may be too far from any broadcast towers to pick up over the air signals and will need cable.

Question : can i connect my desktop computer to samsung lcd tv?
i have desktop computer.. and samsung lcd tv with HDMI port.. now can i connect my computer to my tv.. please let me know as soon as possible..i am trying this for video conferencei have tv tuner card both internal and external..is it possible with that?
Answer:
If you want to use the HDMI port on your LCD HDTV to connect to your computer, your computer must have either a DVI or HDMI port.If your computer has a DVI port, you use a DVI-to-HDMI cable. If your computer has HDMI, you use a standard HDMI cable. If your computer only has old analog 15-pin VGA, then you cannot use the HDMI on your TV unless you upgrade your computer to a better graphics card with DVI or HDMI (assuming your computer has an AGP or PCIExpress 16x slot to accept the better graphics card).Hope this helps.EDITED TO ADD:Nope. That TV tuner card is absolutely irrelevent. It's for receiving a TV signal to capture video onto your computer, not for connecting to a display.

Question : Is there any way of connecting a Playstation 2 to a Samsung LCD TV via HDMI?
And if so, would the picture quality increase? Also can you suggest the best way to connect a playstation 2 to a LCD tv giving the best picture possible!
Answer:
About the best you can do with the PS2 is 480p (enhanced defenition) via a component cable (red, green ,blue) and at the same time the game itself must support 480p, God of war 2 for example. You will get a pretty good picture this way.

Question : When I turn on my Samsung LCD tv, I occasionally notice the screen is filled with red dots. Is it going bad?
When I restart the tv, the red dots disappear. Doesn't happen every time, but have noticed it the last few mornings.
Answer:
yes you have to change some parts inside it is called caps, i can not tell you value because we dont have the model number, but smasung take 2200uf 16 volt, or 1000uf 10 volt, in some models you have to change the compunation of both, just open the back cover, look at the power supply they should be in the upper right corner, the bad one will be bufft out, another symptomes of thes parts going bad on you they will make the tv take longer time to turn on spacielly when it is cold
