It won't take long for you to notice how beautiful the LN52B530 is. With a sleek, black bezel and new transparent bottom edge, its the perfect addition to your entertainment space. 1080p resolution produces the highest quality picture on the market and blacks and shadows are strikingly superb, thanks to the 60,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. Best of all, this HDTV is Energy Star compliant, which means you'll save on your electric bill.

Buyer Beware!!

I was quoted at returning this tv at a completely different price then they charged me. I was told I would be charged of return fee of 129.00 which I was willing to live with but I needed to return the tv. A few days later I get an email saying they are charging me 220.00 dollar return fee. When I called and asked them why they are charging me so much they just responded that was their return policy and there was nothing they would do. So I wrote a bad review about them and that's how I got a hold of Bruno who told me they would return the difference for me and sorry about the inconvenience. Well that was 2 weeks ago and I haven't even been able to get a hold of him never mind seen a penny of my money. They deal in shady business and I would not recommend you spend any money on their products.

JUNK! CRAP! CHEAP! BROKE! RETURNED, and bought a BETTER MODEL

Yes, there are some good reviews, but none that have had this TV for a long period of time. You can take the chance in buying, HOPING you won't get a DUD, but the chances are slim as I hear Samsung has not fixed this problem yet. I bought this from Walmart a week ago and the picture was beautiful, BUT THESE ARE KNOWN FOR THE BACKLIGHT GOING OUT and that is what mine did....A WEEK LATER! It is a circuit card that goes bad, and Samsung has never fixed them. I will NEVER buy a Samsung again. Looking at Sony now!

UPDATE: I did buy another Samsung (I'm probably an idiot) from Crutchfield, and it is the LN52B630 model. It (Unlike this model) has 5 STARS (BUT I will say SAMSUNG CUSTOMER SUPPORT SUCKS!!!!!!). Pretty much the same TV, but updated, without all of the problems, more options, lighted remote, With an ETHERNET cable, you can get Stocks, weather and the latest news right on the TV screen, and so on. PLUS it is 120hz which gives a smoother picture! NICE OPTIONS, NICE PIC, and I will update later if it is NICELY built if it lasts. If it does not last, I am going straight to SONY!

Great TV at a Great Price

This Samsung TV is excellent. The only drawback would be that it is not 120 Hz but my husband and myself can't tell the difference. We had been shopping around and this was a great deal.

Samsung 22" 720p LCD HDTV

Sleek, practical tv for a college student

I bought this TV because it was my responsibility to bring one to my dorm room. I've mainly used it to watch tv and play video games. Everything is nice, i haven't had problems with it. The sound quality is what you'd expect from a tv though... not very rich. I use my speaker system instead. Overall, far exceeded my expectations.

Great TV for the money

You cant go wrong with this TV.
720P is fine, especially with the small screen size.
Dont blow your money on the new hype, you will LOVE this TV.
If its samsung, you can't go wrong.

samsung..unsung

I purchased this for use in the bedroom because of the compact size. The t.v. was easy to set up and had a nice appearence. The problems are that the sound is terrible and the picture quality is sub standard. I do not recommend this set, spend a little more and get a better sound and picture quality unit. i returned this item.

Set has loud buzzzzzz

Bought the set from Costco - overall I would be quite happy if it did not have a loud buzz - Since it is in a small bedroom and used mainly at bedtime it sounds very loud and annoying. I intend to return it and exchange for the same model. Good price and thankfully Costco has a great return policy. If the next set has a similar problem, I'll update this review.Samsung Touch Of Color T220HD 22-inch LCD HDTV Monitor

Excellent quality

I have this hooked up to my computer and watch full screen movies on it from time to time. My computer (running XP) picked up the correct drivers for it right away and It seems to display great. Very happy with this TV a lot of good reviews so I will just hit some basic points the other ones brought up. Sound is fine for me and my gaming needs I can barely turn the TV up halfway without it blasting me out. Sure it may not be theater quality but it is better then past TVs I've owned. As other people have brought up if you are not facing the TV directly it will seem dim. I have mine set above my desk and it is dim unless I have it pointed downward a bit. I will probably end up getting a diffrent mount for it. The TV does not come with a mount that allows it to tilt up and down so keep this in mind! Picture quality is very good on my xbox 360, very happy with it!

The tv is good, but doesn't compare to the picture of my midrange Vizios. Wish I would have spent the extra $$ for a Vizio.

Wonderful TV for the price - Can't be beat

I paid about $1100 for this TV last year and I have never looked back on it as a bad purchase. I believe they can be bought on sale for about $600-650 now.

The panel is beautiful, the styling is sleek (it's A SAMSUNG!), the contrast is wonderful, and the menu is decent.

I bought 2 Sony panels which both failed before settling on this set. It has been wonderful since purchase.

Since then I've got another Samsung panel and now 2 23" Samsung Monitors as well. Samsung is where it is at if you are looking to purchase a TV - spend the extra money and get yourself something quality that will last you a good long time!

I would recommend Samsung to a friend, family member, and any random person walking on the street. Their panels are the best. PERIOD!

Buyer BEWARE

This television was wonderful (great picture, great black color, nice features) for 2.5 years and then it just QUIT (died) without any warning. I called Samsung toll free to try to diagnose and they said there was nothing that could be done. So, at the time of purchase this t.v. cost me $1,000 and it lasted for 2.5 years. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH IT. Beware of this model - walk away from it and buy something else. I will probably never buy Samsung again because there is no way I could trust the brand after this. (Coincidentally I also recently bought a Samsung external DVD drive for my laptop and that too did not work - fortunately I was able to return that and get my money back).

COMPUTER DISPLAY VIA ANALOG CABLE... only 1024 x 768 otherwise bands appear at the "native" resolution

Hooking this up for someone as a montior either primary or a secondary clone. I read the manual for the TV and it lists the 1360 x 768 as the "Native PC resolution (and the graphics card is fully capable of displaying that resolution) and detects the TV. However when I switch from 1024 x 768 (which fills the Samsung 32in TV screen to 1360 x 768 I get the black bars on the left & right.

NO PROBLEM I THOUGHT> I'll just adjust the screen dimensions (but in PC mode they are locked. So WTH? Why print something as the native resolution for it and have it squished up, Also why lock the picture size option in PC mode?

HOPE SOME ONE CHECKS BACK & can tell me what the deal-ee-o is?
Do i just have to live with 1024 x 768 (while not the worst... i'd like to compare to a full viewing of the 1360 x 768 if I could.

Thank you.

Unless you're legally deaf, don't buy this tv.

I bought this TV a while ago (as in over a year) and I am very embarrassed to admit it's taken me this long to look up the problem. While it's a wonderful tv if you can't hear the whistling coming from the it (which is why I gave this tv two stars instead of one), the whistling is enough to make me say it was DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE PURCHASE.

It's fantastic to watch for the first 20 minutes to a half hour, but then the high-pitched whistling becomes unbearable until you shut the tv off. You can hear it from other rooms too, in my house anyway, so walking away won't help either.

I'm grateful to others who have posted their problem on here because I will be calling Samsung as soon as I post this review to *hopefully* get it repaired free of charge because of the defect.

Samsung LN-T3253H - Very Good LCD TV

After living with this TV for over two years, it's still an agreeable experience. The picture remains sharp, clear and correctly colored.
Mine had the annoying hissing / whining / squeal noise when it was new. After the Power Supply board was replaced it's been great.
The set turns on quickly, has a very good picture for a 720 resolution TV, a great remote and automatically finds and switches to Anynet/CEC compatible DVD / BluRay players.

The sound is decent for an LCD TV. It's weak on Bass which is most noticeable when watching movies.

Recently, I went shopping for a larger TV. I was shocked to find that now, in 2010 the LN-T3253 from 2007 still has a better picture than many new TV sets particularly when viewing fast moving scenes or SD content. The only new TV sets that equalled or surpassed its picture cost as much or more than this one did.
That said, compared to a 1080 resolution TV the picture is grainy and BlueRay offers no noticeable improvement over DVD.

If you come across one of these in used condition, it's probably worth buying so long as it has had the squeal/hiss problem corrected.

Enjoy,
Keri

Good when it works.....

I purchased this in December 2007, and it came with a standard one year warranty. After 17 months, the picture died. The set would still turn on and I could hear the audio, but no picture whatsoever. I got it fixed at a cost of $294 (new motherboard needed). Fortunately, VISA paid for the repair, under their free one-year extended warranty provision (check with your credit card issuer to see if it's a feature of your particular issuer).

This TV will display a great picture with HD content, but for whatever reason, the video from my 480i/p DVD player (a Sony) looked terrible. The sound is merely ok. The design and finish is outstanding; this TV looks great just sitting there. I'm hoping I can get many more years out of it without any more repair issues, but it's discouraging to see that so many owners have had issues with this set.

Question : My new Samsung LCD TV won't pick up the channels that I use to have from my old t.v.?
I just bought a new Samsung LCD TV a few days ago. I went ahead and scan for channels but I found some channels missing. I did a rescan but I still can't find the channels. I have an outdoor antenna that I use for picking up channels. Would I have to move my antenna around to be able to pick it up and/or is there any other solutions?

Question : can i connect my desktop computer to samsung lcd tv?
i have desktop computer.. and samsung lcd tv with HDMI port.. now can i connect my computer to my tv.. please let me know as soon as possible..i am trying this for video conferencei have tv tuner card both internal and external..is it possible with that?

Answer:
If you want to use the HDMI port on your LCD HDTV to connect to your computer, your computer must have either a DVI or HDMI port.If your computer has a DVI port, you use a DVI-to-HDMI cable. If your computer has HDMI, you use a standard HDMI cable. If your computer only has old analog 15-pin VGA, then you cannot use the HDMI on your TV unless you upgrade your computer to a better graphics card with DVI or HDMI (assuming your computer has an AGP or PCIExpress 16x slot to accept the better graphics card).Hope this helps.EDITED TO ADD:Nope. That TV tuner card is absolutely irrelevent. It's for receiving a TV signal to capture video onto your computer, not for connecting to a display.

Question : Any one buy the Samsung LCD tv with 120 mhz?
I'm looking to buy a LCD tv and have the Samsung 550 and 650 in mind. The biggest difference between the two that I can tell is that the 650 has 120 mhz and the 550 doesn't. I have read that the 120 mhz comes into play when watching fast action scenes or sports and prevents blurring. My question is, is it really with the extra money and will i notice the difference? Thanks!

Answer:
LCD technology produces two artifacts with on screen motion. 1) Motion Jitter - this is the most obnoxious of the LCD motion artifacts; it produces shaky, jittery trailing edges on moving objects. Best seen with scrolling credits at the end of a movie.2) Motion Blur - stretches the moving object out behind the image, best seen with high contrast between the moving object and the background.120 Hz does a good job with the removal of jitter. 120 Hz does a poor job on the removal of motion blur. In fact, the 120 Hz motion compensation co-processors do not have the processing power to complete their calculations under all live sporting event and movie scenes. They can and often do produce their own artifacts called halo (incomplete background processing) on the trailing side of moving objects. I find halo artifacts to be as obnoxious as jitter and recommend that you turn 120 Hz OFF during a movie, therefore, 120 Hz will be of some limited benefit during sports programs and gaming. Is this feature worth the price and complexity? That is subjective and a decision that only you can make. Come into my shop in Crystal Lake, Il. and I would be more than happy to show you a demonstration of jitter, blur and 120 Hz operation and then you could make-up your own mind as to the effectiveness of 120 Hz. Most of my customers are shocked when they see the truth!

Question : PS3 connection to Samsung lcd tv via HDMI cable?
We have a ps3 connected to a samsung lcd tv via a HDMI cable. The sound settings are to HD but the sound keeps going off and on. Any ideas?Tried that Jaguar but the ps3 has to be on for the hdmi connection to be highlighted? Maybe it's a dodgy cable? Are HDMI cables that sensitive?Still playing up! Changed HDMI and it works on our Sony HD tv, Playstation3 ok so TV must be the problem. Spoke to Samsung and they werent sure so I'll pop into a local Samsung repair centre to ask if they knew what it could be. Tv suppports 1080i nd HD sp I dont know what it is?Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Answer:
It could be that you have the settings set too high for the TV. Go to sound options and set them to the lowest (Stereo 44.1kHz) your TV should be able to play this.

Question : What should I do with a broken Samsung LCD TV?
I have a 40 in. Samsung LCD TV that has a blank picture but sound works. It broke 3 weeks after the 2 year maintenance plan expired :( . I'm afraid this will cost $300-$400 to fix.. I hate to throw something away that visually(outside/not picture) is in great condition and might be fixable. Any suggestions?

Answer:
People don't realize the things they can do with broken TV's. I know some people who make fish tanks, do things with the wires, and I even saw one guy who made a calculator with a recycled TV.I personaly, have no idea what to do with it. But take it apart and see if you can find something you can use! However, if you want to keep it as a TV and see if someone can fix it, ask your local tec-wiz or look up for some people in the phone book. If you look hard, you'll find someone who will be able fo fix it.

Question : Why does my Samsung LCD TV screen have a blue tone when I connect peripherals using component cables?
I have a 19-inch Samsung flat-screen LCD TV. When I connect peripherals (DVD player, XBox 360, etc.) through the component ports, everything has a blue-ish tone to it. I know it's not the component cables themselves because I've tried 3 different sets of component cables and they all have the same blue tone result. So I'm guessing there's something wrong with the TV itself. If I connect things through other ports (S-Video, Composite, DVI, etc.), everything is fine. Could I possibly have changed a setting on my TV by mistake to make everything blue when connecting things through the component ports? Or is this just an issue with the TV itself? Thanks in advance for the help.

Answer:
Sometimes a Samsung LCD can push blue if you have your color settings on "Cool" - and for that matter, ALL TV's have a color push out of the box.If you want to reduce the blue push, try changing from "Cool" to "Warm" in your picture settings. Also, check to see if you're receiving blue as a result of your component settings not receiving a "red" or "green" picture. Sometimes it takes a moment to notice, but blue will be pushed because red or green aren't transmitting from your source content (DVD player, or whatever) to your TV.If that doesn't help, try calling Samsung's toll free phone number - 800-SAMSUNG during M-F normal business hours. That number connects you to one of the three offices in the United States, which is cool that you aren't being rerouted to India.Good luck to you!

Question : why my Samsung LCD TV 750 series turns on and off by itself during a program?
The longer the TV is on the more frequent are the on-off episodes. I bought this TV only 2 dyas ago - brand new.

Answer:
coz its fake dont buy yourself some cheapass tv go and spend a lot of money if you really wanna enjoy something

Question : What should I do with my 32 inch Samsung LCD TV box?
Should I just put it out with the trash? What if one of the neighbors sees the box and thinks it is a nice TV and decides to break into all the apartments one by one until he finds it and steals it. Or am I being too paranoid?Should I take the box off and dispose of it myself? Should I sneak it out in the middle of the night so nobody sees me? What should I do?

Answer:
If you live in a bad part of town... You have the right idea! I suggest folding it down carefully, cutting it up into squares, and just throwing it out. Or, if there's a dumpster nearby, like behind a store, just chuck it in there.
