YOU CAN'T BEAT IT
It is perfect to have in your living room. The ultimate picture and Sound quality!

2.5 Years in and the problems start
I have enjoyed this tv very much for the past couple years. The picture was very good, it interfaced with all my devices very quickly and easily. The sound wasn't the greatest, but acceptable for a set of tv speakers. The big problem is that the ir sensor on the front started becoming 'blind' last week. Meaning that the remote has to be within 12 inches of the tv in order for it to work.

Died after 2 1/2 years
Loved the TV for the fist 2 1/2 years. Had a great picture. But then it started taking longer and longer to turn on. Now, it does not power on at all. Seems to be a familiar problem with Samsung TVs as I researched this online and it seems to affect mostly Samsung brands. Would be curious to see how others are faring with their TV after 2 years...

Great TV, but Samsung changed the spec
I bought this TV in 12/06. At that time it was advertised as 1080i resolution and 15,000/1 dynamic contrast. This is what I got. However, I now read where the item is listed as 768 resolution and 3000/1 contrast. Something tells me samsung reserves the right to alter specs on an item after it is released. Needless to say, the TV I received is magnificant regarding video (5-star). The audio would be rated 4-star as I get a vibration if I turn it louder than 1/2 way up. I don't care because I have a 5.1 surround sound system hooked up to it. I hope everyone got the same spec tv I got (1080i-15000/1) but I'm afraid they didn't. If I rated MY tv anything lower than 5-star, I'd be lying. It's a great tv. (LNS4041D)

3 years and it won't turn on anymore
Like some other posters, the common Samsung problem started occuring recently where it took longer and longer to turn on. Yesterday this TV finally died and just makes clicking noises. Obviously warranty is out of the question, and having it fixed by a professional would almost cost as much as a new tv. Sad that most Samsungs seem to only last under 3 years based on a lot of research I've done regarding this problem on the internet.

| Editorial Review :
With its sleek shape and thin, piano-black frame, Samsung's LN-T1953H enhances your decor even when it's off. Turn it on, and this 19" LCD TV comes to life with brilliant colors and intense blacks. Moving images flow naturally without jagged edges, thanks to the fast 8ms response time. The handy picture-in-picture feature and a wide viewing angle add to its versatility.

Question : can i connect my desktop computer to samsung lcd tv?
i have desktop computer.. and samsung lcd tv with HDMI port.. now can i connect my computer to my tv.. please let me know as soon as possible..i am trying this for video conferencei have tv tuner card both internal and external..is it possible with that?
Answer:
If you want to use the HDMI port on your LCD HDTV to connect to your computer, your computer must have either a DVI or HDMI port.If your computer has a DVI port, you use a DVI-to-HDMI cable. If your computer has HDMI, you use a standard HDMI cable. If your computer only has old analog 15-pin VGA, then you cannot use the HDMI on your TV unless you upgrade your computer to a better graphics card with DVI or HDMI (assuming your computer has an AGP or PCIExpress 16x slot to accept the better graphics card).Hope this helps.EDITED TO ADD:Nope. That TV tuner card is absolutely irrelevent. It's for receiving a TV signal to capture video onto your computer, not for connecting to a display.

I just bought a new Samsung LCD TV a few days ago. I went ahead and scan for channels but I found some channels missing. I did a rescan but I still can't find the channels. I have an outdoor antenna that I use for picking up channels. Would I have to move my antenna around to be able to pick it up and/or is there any other solutions?

Question : Why do larger samsung lcd tv's take longer to come on then smaller ones?
My Samsung 26 inch HDTV T260 Montior turns on faster then my 46" Samsung Tv Monitor? I just think its odd that one takes longer to turn on just because of its size.
Answer:
Because they have to charge a larger capacitor for the backlight... it takes more time.

Question : Will I be able to use my roof top antenna with my Samsung LCD TV after the digital transition?
I have a 32" Samsung LCD TV. I can view HD channels with my roof top antenna presently. I am assuming that means that I do not need a converter box, however, if I am wrong please advise me otherwise. Will I still be able to use my roof top antenna after the transition to digital. We don't want to pay for cable or Satellite. We like local television.
Answer:
Yes you will. That tv has the digital tuner built in it. Don't worry You are good to go!!
