Great cheap LCD/TV combo
I have used it mostly as a TV. Plugged the computer into it a couple times to make sure that it functions as a monitor as well. Product was on sale for about 220 and for that price was well worth it for the 4 months I have had it so far.

awesome
I don't think I could have found a better deal than the $133 I payed for this 23" HDTV. Bought it refurbished on Amazon and it works great, no dead pixels or black spots. Hooked it up to my laptop and once the "HDMI1" name was changed to "PC" the text can be read quite easily. I have not tested this as a TV, but I'm sure it will work most excellently. Overall a great purchase.
In case you are thinking about spending more and getting an "LED" monitor, know that they are simply LCD monitors with LED backlights. This is good for power consumption, but as far as quality of picture they do not really justify the extra cost.

It does exactly what I bought it for. . .
I saw this item at a local Sam's Club and thought it might be a great addition to my Home Computer system as an third monitor and add the ability to tune into the latest news when needed. By the time I saved enough money for the purchase Sam's had moved them out. Sooo. . . coupled with a nice gift certificate for Father's Day I bought it on Amazon. I actually saved $50 over the Sam's price and the free delivery helped. As for the purpose of the purchase it works very well. The color is great and nearly matches my main monitor (also a Samsung). In fact if I didn't need the TV I would us it as my main. As for the TV side I'm happy so far. The only gripe I have is the need to manually switch back and forth between regular (4:3) and HD (16:9) aspect ratios. My $1000 plus 42" wall mount plasma does this automatically. Oh well, I guess for less that $300 I can do a lot of button pushing. Somebody mentioned the "tinny" speakers but I run my sound directly from the cable box through a Bose system.

Great Monitor, Great Deal
I was very careful when looking for different monitors for my Toshiba Laptop, and Xbox 360, so when I saw that this had multiple HDMI ports, component hook ups, DVI and VGA ports, and a TV tuner, this looked like a good deal...and it was. The picture quality is great for both my laptop and xbox (I have yet to hook it up as a TV). The speakers are not the best, but will do just fine for what you need. I have separate speakers for my laptop and use the Turtle Beach X11 for my xbox which both work great. I bought this monitor refurbished and it arrived good as new. I highly recommend this monitor to anyone and especially any student looking for an all-in-one TV/Monitor for their dorm.

Great for my future PS3.
It took me most of the summer to make enough money to buy that and it works great. Great for my bedroom and all I have to do is get a PS3 and connect them with the free 6 inch hdmi cable to watch Blu-Ray movies. I recommend YOU buying this kind of 1080p TV. My mom thought it was "my biggest order" yet.

Make the move to the smoothest LCD action ever. Samsung's LN46C530 LCD HDTV offers incredible color and rich clarity, all on a 46-inch screen. Add the power of Samsung's Wide Color Enhancer, for a picture that optimizes a given color's hue, resulting in more natural rendering of colors and lifelike action. Samsung HDTVs are also ENERGY STAR compliant, helping the environment by using less energy while saving you money.

Optimum picture settings for LN46C530?
Can someone who owns this model please tell me the optimum picture settings for this TV such as Backlight, Contrast, Brightness and the like. I like this TV but I am terrible at calibration. Thanks

Beautiful TV
Oh my, this is a beautiful TV. This TV is the first LCD HD TV I've ever bought. I've been watching a 10 yr old JVC CRT set that has served me well. However, it's only 30" and I wanted a larger screen.
I was hesitant to buy an LCD TV since my old CRT is still putting out the sharpest picture around. But after getting the Samsung 46" and hooking it to my cable HD box I can say that I don't regret the purchase. I'm blown away at the quality of the picture.
I also bought a Samsung Blu-Ray player and the quality of movies are unbelievable. I'm sorry I waited until now to go HD.
I highly recommend this TV.
One month update: I was a bit concerned with this TV being only 60Hz since I watch a lot of sports but I have not had any problems at all. Just recently watched almost every match of the World Cup and had no problems whatsoever with blurring or anything. NASCAR is beautiful on this set.
I've got my old CRT set in my bedroom. It looks crappy now, LOL!

PERFECT!
Ordered this on July 1st and had it in my hands yesterday (July 11th) so very quick shipping for a freight company! We plugged in in and watched a movie right away and its amazing! Works great and the standard settings it seemed to be shipped with work perfect, no problems what so ever. Very happy with this brand and TV!

For $784 you can't do any better than this TV
For $784 you can't do any better then this TV. Free shipping, no interest financing and no tax. Picture wise; in comparison to my previous Samsung TV (Plasma) for which I paid $1,200 3 years ago it's slightly better. In comparison to other cheaper LCDs such as the Insignia from Best Buy this wins hands down. Blacks are actually black unlike on other cheaper LCDs where they appear to be gray. The automatic "real time" brightness adjustment helps out too when the light changes. I have this TV hooked up to my PS3 for Blu-Ray playback as well as gaming. Furthermore, I used the PC input to hook up my computer; I am extremely happy that, unlike my previous TV it maintains the 16:9 aspect ratio without stretching the screen (before I had to use DVI to HDMI to maintain the aspect ratio using up one of the HDMIs where now I can use the analog [VGA] and it works flawlessly).

Perfect TV
This is a very nicely built television.
Plenty of hookups, which were easy to reach.
The Anyconnect (which allows one device to control another like Sony's Bravia, but for Samsung) works well. It's nothing super, but it works.
You can save favorite channels, easily and quickly switch to other inputs, play mp3s and jpgs via USB, ... ya know, all that stuff that you expect from a very nice TV. It's not going to surprise you much. The video didn't need any adjustment for me, out of the box, but there were a lot of options for tweaking it.
Audio was average, not impressive, but I'm used to a nice surround system (which I promptly hooked up). One reason Anyconnect is nice is that I can have the TV output over the surround sound (an Anyconnect system) very easily.
Oh, and the dang stand swivels. It's a heavy-ish stand, too. Another commenter had a problem 'drilling' the stand, but I found this wasn't an issue. I found the build quality to be the best I've ever seen on a TV.
The picture, though, of course, is what matters most. And this TV has an amazing picture. Clear and beautiful. The colors stand out, the contrast is strong, the blacks look black.
The statistic that is weak on this TV is its slow refresh rate (the 60hz). I actually prefer this TV over ones that have a higher refresh rate. Movies look more like the cinema this way. In fact, many movies are shown in theater at merely 24 hz. Have you ever noticed that a movie or TV show looks subtly like a camcorder, behind the scenes tape, or a Soup Opera? This effect is often the result of a high refresh rate, and it reduces the mental blur from frame to frame. I suspect newer TVs actually let you reduce the refresh rate, because many find a high refresh to be less appealing. But this way I get a cheaper TV that I think actually looks much better. Before you spend hundreds more on a 2D set with extremely high refresh rate, test it out and see what you like better. Make sure the media actually supports the high refresh rate. You may find this cheaper set is as good, or perhaps better if you're like me.
I found no flaws with this TV whatsoever. It's amazing that such a large and beautiful TV, from what many consider the best brand, is so affordable.

This product has very good picture and sound quality. It offers good value for the price and looks good. I purchased it for a quest 3rd bedroom so the size was just right for sitting on a table.

Samsung 26" LCD TV LN26C350
I bought this TV because it had front facing speakers rather than the downward pointing speakers that are prevalent on most flat screen TV's. Unfortunately, the achievable volume and sound quality are rather poor.
Rating :
Good TV
The picture quality is very good. I watch OTA channels only (no cable, fios, or satellite). The sound is typical of small tv's. Out of the box, the audio lacks bass; however, there is an equalizer to make adjustments or just use one of the preset modes. The bezel is big which makes the viewable screen look small. The bezel is 1.75 inches around, plus another 1.5 inches on the bottom for the speaker. I dislike the glossy bezel because it reflects light, which can be a distraction.
I have another Samsung purchased in 2008. There does not seem to be improvements in how this new Samsung tv tuner handles OTA multi-path problems. I would say it handles the same. There are some improvements in user interface. On the older tv, when changing channels, it would display the channel number and station ID on the upper right corner and, for some reason, it would show the audio mode (mono, stereo, mute) on the upper left corner. On this new tv, it only shows the channel number and station ID on the upper left corner. The onscreen display is transparent, so you can still watch the current channel beneath the onscreen display.
There is a button on the remote that brings up a list of channels and lists what program is on each channel. This saves you from switching channels to find out what else is on. Another button, the "info" button, displays a synopsis of the show you are watching. It also has a progress bar to show how much time the show has until it ends. My 2008 Samsung does not have a progress bar.
I had no problems connecting my laptop to this tv via the hdmi port. Video and audio passes through the hdmi port, which is good.

Great Buy
I am thrilled with my new TV in the guest bedroom. It was very easy to hook up and light enough for me to carry without help. Picture is perfect and my latest visitors (niece and nephew) were thrilled to have their "own" TV when they visit.

Very happy with this no-frills TV - it's for use in our exercise/computer room/office and it very adequately fills the bill. Arrived earlier than expected in perfect condition. May not have all the bells and whistles of its more expensive siblings but does the job!

Excellent TV
I was between buying this LN46C550 or a more expensive LED 3D Samsung TV. I am glad that I bought this one and saved a lot of money. This is an excellent TV, the picture quality is extremely good. I was concerned that the 60Hz would be inferior to 240Hz technology; but the picture is perfect, I can't really tell the difference! Do yourself a favor and save some of your hard earned money and buy thus TV instead of much more expensive ones; you'll be happy!

A very nice 46" LCD set, with good features and a good price.
Only con: the optional wireless network USB adapter (only available from Samsung) is pricey.

Samsung delivers yet another great HDTV!
I purchased the Samsung LN46C550 HDTV last month and finally got it installed this week by professional installers and I must say that this HDTV is great! Black levels, color saturation, are all excellent, this HDTV even has a wireless link connection (must be purchased separately)! This is my first HDTV but not my first Samsung TV and I must say that in keeping with the tradition of high quality TV sets, this is another fine entry in Samsung's catalog!

TV arrived damaged-screen was cracked in numerous places. Delivery person did not check the item, just asked where we wanted the box and left.
Had to have the TV picked up and subsequently bought the same set at Best Buy. Very happy with Samsung. Beautiful picture and fits nicely in our family room

Now you can take a break from work and watch HDTV. The P2370HD monitor features a built-in 1080p digital HDTV tuner - which means you can play high definition games and watch blu-ray movies. With sharp, full HD images, you'll be amazed at the quality. It also has a beautiful TOC design and crystal clear neck with ultra-slim dimensions. Plus it's Energy Star rated so it uses 50% less energy and RoHs compliant since we cut down hazardous materials during the production process. This Samsung monitor gives you something beautiful to stare at, whether it's on or off.
Customer Review :
HDMI unuseable for PC connection
I need to use HDMI to connect it to the PC, to be able to watch BluRay disks. This requires HDMI connection. Not DVI. Unfortunately, the monitor INSISTS on applying sharpening to HDMI input, and also skews the colors to bluish tint.
So I read that I can assign HDMI input as "PC". UNFORTUNATELY, that throws brightness off to like 50%. It's impossible to tune the picture to normal.
And even if I used HDMI input to connect to a bluray player, why would I want additional sharpening? If it's a grainy movie, this stupid sharpening will just amplify grain. Even set to 0, it doesn't go away. Even disabled in the menus, it doesn't go away.
There is firmware upgrade for european version of this monitor. But I don't know if it fixes the problem ,and it won't load to the american version, anyway.

Great for use as both a TV and Computer Monitor!
I bought this tv on sale at Costco a couple of months ago. I LOVE it. I'm a college kid and just rent a room from someone, so this is the only tv I have and works perfect for everything I need. I love hooking it up to my macbook pro (the back of the tv has a built in computer vga cable input) and using it for streaming things from the internet, or just to have some extra desktop space while doing big graphic design projects. The picture quality is great - clear, bright colors. The sound isn't just incredible, but is great for a small TV. I'm considering getting some external speakers though for when I want to boost the bass - but the built in speakers do the job well and are plenty loud for everyone in the room to hear (I NEVER have to turn it up all the way). The interface for switching between Computer/TV/Wii works great - I enjoy the menu gui that is semi-transparent while still showing whatever you have playing behind it. Aesthetically speaking, this is a beautiful machine... I adore the red "rose black" color with the clear see-through framing (and pedestal) around it - very fun. Overall I highly recommend this TV. Perfect size for dorm/kitchen/bedroom use, and not so small that you couldn't use it in the living room if you want to have a nice quality tv on a lower budget.

SAMSUNG P2370HD
This TV is not our main TV. The only problem that I have with this TV (for our type of use) is the SOUND. I am now looking to buy an external TV sound system for a TV that was suppose to be just for a bedroom. I suggest you do not buy this TV for someone that is older and hard of hearing UNLESS you additionally purchase a sound system for them! SAYWENN

Excellent at this price point
I wanted a large monitor to use at my desk with my 13" macbook. I didn't have the $$$ for an Apple LED Cinema Display 24-Inch MB382LL/A so I settled on this after reading a lot of reviews online.
The good:
1) Beautifully styled. I just love the sleek look of this monitor! The "touch of red" around the edges doesn't bother me at all, though for some people they find it annoying.
2) Excellent menu system, easy to navigate. There are a lot of user-controlled settings that are easy to adjust.
3) Very sturdy stand. The monitor has very little wobble to it even if you intentionally try to push it around.
4) At this price point, the quality of the display is excellent. There's no discernable lag and the black is decent. Is it as good as the monitor on my laptop? Would it be satisfactory for a professional graphic designer? NO way. I dim the monitor on my laptop and don't use it, because to go from one to the other makes the difference in image quality that much more obvious. But for this price what can you expect?
5) Outstanding connection options. I use this monitor with my laptop, as a TV, and to connect gaming systems and cameras to.
The bad:
1) The stand has no capacity for adjustment. You're stuck with the height and the tilt of it. Fortunately for me, the height is not a problem at all, and unless you're a giant or a "little person" it's probably just fine for you.
2) If you ever decide to pack it back up into its box (to sell it or if you move), you really have to put a lot of muscle into detaching the stem of the stand from the back of the monitor. It does eventually come out, but boy does it take some doing.
3) Fingerprints show up really easily along the edges, i.e. if you use the "buttons" on the monitor itself. I use the remote to turn it on and off to avoid this.

A wonderful HDTV & monitor
I am writing this review while using the Samsung P2370HD as a monitor. The resolution is great, even for small text. The connection from a MacbookPro is via its Mini DisplayPort, through an adapter, to the DVI port on the monitor. (Digital all the way.) Pixel edges are indistinguishable at normal viewing distance. I have not tried connecting through the analog ports, but would not expect that to be as crisp.
The TV connection is HDMI from a cable HDTV box. The picture is excellent, in HD or standard TV. The sound of the built-in speakers is even very good, at least to my old ears. I was prepared to connect external speakers, but find no need to do so. The sound may be aided by this TV's location on a hard surface close to a hard wall behind it, so that the sound from the down-facing speakers can reflect forward.
Even when turned off, the unit looks very good, with the clear edges and post, plus the subtle red highlights on the black parts.
I bought two of these units elsewhere before finding the Amazon listing, but the price was about the same -- very reasonable. Highly recommended!

Question : What should I do with a broken Samsung LCD TV?
I have a 40 in. Samsung LCD TV that has a blank picture but sound works. It broke 3 weeks after the 2 year maintenance plan expired :( . I'm afraid this will cost $300-$400 to fix.. I hate to throw something away that visually(outside/not picture) is in great condition and might be fixable. Any suggestions?
Answer:
People don't realize the things they can do with broken TV's. I know some people who make fish tanks, do things with the wires, and I even saw one guy who made a calculator with a recycled TV.I personaly, have no idea what to do with it. But take it apart and see if you can find something you can use! However, if you want to keep it as a TV and see if someone can fix it, ask your local tec-wiz or look up for some people in the phone book. If you look hard, you'll find someone who will be able fo fix it.

Question : What cords/accessories do I need for new Samsung LCD TV?
I just bought a Samsung 46'' LCD TV, 1080P, 12HZ and am wondering what accessories should I get for the best TV viewing. Question : Why does my Samsung LCD tv have a shadow?
I've had the tv for about 3 years and for a while now it looks like there is a faint black mark on the the right side of the screen. It sort of looks like a shadow. But it's super annoying and I was just wondering if there is some way to fix it or if we have to buy a new tv.
Answer:
im guessing that the pixels are burning out, it happens with computer monitors too, if you use it too much they eventually burn out, or you just have a faulty tvyou would have to buy a new screen or parts to fix it, or a new tv
