Outstanding TV

This television has an amazing picture and does not heat up like a plasma screen. Viewing is excellent from all angles; sports are crystal clear with absolutely no motion blur. Be sure to visit some of the tech websites for a list of the most effective picture settings.

I've only had the TV for four months, but there have been no problems with it. It is currently wall-mounted and attached to a home theater system with a blu-ray player and a Wii. I'm thoroughly satisified with all aspects of its performance.

Awesome tv

I am not a tech freak or a high def guy, I just like the picture. After 2 weeks, I will still see certain footage of a football game or even in a hdtv tv show and think to myself, 'that's pretty cool'.

Samsung LED 46"

I absolutely love my new TV, and I love that Amazon was so easy to order from and the delivery was timely. The picture on this TV is incredible. I have it hooked up to a receiver and speakers, so I can't speak to the sound. Due to having it hooked up to a receiver, I have found that because my receiver is older and not a 1080 receiver, I'm not getting full 1080p reception. I plan to replace my receiver in the future to go with my Blue Ray player and new TV and I'm sure I'll be delighted.

A Good TV.. With a Few Exceptions

I bought this TV about a week ago and have been fairly impressed. There is a lot to like about this TV, but there are also a few problems.

The Good:
The picture is great; very clear with both HDTV and BluRays. The black levels and contrast are very good. The sound isn't terrible (with some tweaking), but it isn't anything to write home about. The settings are very intuitive and easy to work with.

The Bad:
I've already mentioned the sound, but it bears repeating: the sounds levels are just okay. You will not be able to turn the bass up to what I would call an acceptable level without making the speaker housings vibrate which can be very annoying. This wasn't a deal killer for me as I paired it with a surround sound system, so I barely hear the TV speakers.

This TV is terrible for gaming. I should qualify this: This TV is terrible for playing music type games. There is considerable input lag using a Wii, even with the game mode turned on. I attempted to play Guitar Hero: World Tour after connecting the Wii to the TV using the new composite cables I had to buy (more on that in a minute), and found it to be unplayable. Because there is considerable lag, the strum does not register until just after the notes have passed, resulting in a missed note... many, many missed notes actually. This is not acceptable for me.

There are not enough inputs for gaming devices and there are only inputs for HD devices. While this may seem like a stupid complaint, remember that neither the Wii, nor the PS2 (outdated I know, but bare with me) have an HDMI output. I had to go buy HD Composite cables for both and a switch box because there is only 1 composite input on the TV. These cables aren't really cheap, so that was another $60 I had to shell out. Also, there are only 4 HDMI inputs total, so if you have multiple gaming systems, a BluRay player and a cable/satellite box, you may need to buy an HDMI switch to get everything to work.

The Ugly:
You will need to take quite a bit of time to calibrate this TV to make everything look the way it should. Here is a quick tip though: if you don't want everything you watch to have the quality of a commercial, turn off the 120Hz options (located in Picture Options > Auto Motion Plus 120Hz). Some people may like the ultra crisp effect that this adds to movies and programs, but I just feel it makes everything look very plastic and without depth.

All-in-all, this is a decent TV, that could will be great for some... but terrible for others. If nothing I listed will bother you, this is a great TV for the money and will not disappoint.

LED LCD TV

Great TV. The picture is about as good as you can expect from an LED LCD TV. The delivery was expertly done as was the connection to cable. It took a total of 15 minutes from the time the delivery truck parked in my driveway until I was looking at HD television.

Yes, do it.

Bought this TV two weeks ago and could not be happier; numerous variable settings allow you to set your perfect picture. Will not repeat all the good things everyone else has said. I do not have any problem with the audio for normal use but do run through an external speaker system when watching movies.

We needed a 37" because of the armoire we put the TV in. Talked to some folks in electronics stores and have also read on internet that 37" TV's may be going away. So, if you need/want one, you might want to research that some more. I don't really know how true it is but there are not many to choose from in this size category so there may be something to it.

If you can get this TV in the $950 range with free shipping, do it. It's a couple hundred dollars more than some (Vizio, Panasonic), but worh it, IMO.

Head phone solution

This is for the folks who down grade the TV because they have not spent a few buck yet for a surround sound receiver. If you want to use headphones, use the optical audio out connection from the back of the TV out to your surround sound receiver. You have one don't you? Just pick one up used for $300 or less (older Sony ES stuff (333ES,555ES,777ES, or 3ES,5ES,7ES)) with an optical input, then listen in stereo or add the center channel and then rears in that order as you can afford it. The receiver will perform the auto shut off of the speakers once the headphones are plugged in, and when not the improved electronics, even the sound in the headphones will enlighten you with enriching sound. The picture is only half the experience! I considering this TV for my bedroom, but with the board issues mentioned, and extented warrenty may be warrented!

Amazing TV!...worth the price!!!

So I hadh been looking for a new tv sincee October 2009 and originally I had an idea for a 32 in at around 500. I did a lot of research on LCD tv's and finally decided to push it up to 37 in at 800. I had foudn some models I had liked but the minute I saw the LN37B650 I fell in love. The design is nice and the picture quality is superb for a Non-LED LCD tv. Though it is kind of pricey, it is well worth it. Ive had my tv for about a month now and the picture quality is amazing even at the beginning when you use the factory settings. Blu Ray's look so amazing and my Band of Brothers Blu Ray series actually almost pops out of the screen! I use my tv mainly for my PS3 and games look amazing. You might need to adjust the judder settings if you feel they might be blurring the picture a little too much for your taste during games or sport events because it does create a halo around moving objects(this is a problem with most LCD tvs). Ive never felt so satisfied at buying something and I've never felt like I actually got moneys worth until i got this TV. If youre looking for a Tv with great picture and great versatility in adjusting the settings then this is the tv to get. Friends and famliy who see my tv can't believe how great this tv looks and they all have nice tvs as well. So again, if youre looking for a tv with amazing picture quality and youre gunna be using a blu ray player or ps3 or xbox 360, ETC then you should definitely buy this tv!!!

BTW if youre looking for more info on this tv or other tvs you might be interested in, go to [...]
They have great reviews and you can compare tvs.
Thats where I did most of my research and you should too!

Picture went black

I was very impressed initially with this TV. Great picture, easy to set up and reasonable sound for use in my bedroom. Unfortunately the picture went black with the audio intact and no menu access in less then 3 weeks of use. Kudos to Amazon Customer Service as they responded to my issue and are shipping out a new TV and taking back the one with the replacement expected within a little over a week. I could have gotten in home service from Samsung, but it was a little disconserting that the TV would fail so fast I felt it better to exchange it right away. I will provide an updated review once I have a little more experience with the replacement set (longer than a month).

First HD television, more than pleased

So I bought this television in late November along with my Sony Bravia surround sound home theater system. When I first turned it on, I was blown away. Even the "no signal" was crystal clear ( I could tell then I had the right television.) Putting it together was easy as well. Four screws down, four in the back, and you're done. The Directv man came by the next day, hooked up my HD satellite receiver, once again, blown away. The picture is amazing! Watching sports now are amazing! Movies on both the satellite receiver and on my Samsung BD-P1600 blu-ray player have outstanding output on this television. The sound is pretty much that of SD televisions, but I have read that most HD televisions are like this. No problem, because once you hook this bad baby up to a surround sound system, you can pretty much hit the mute button. The picture is the most important thing, although the sound on the tv is good.

You can set a certain picture and calibration to each input running to the television. I love tinkering with this feature. I have:

HDMI 1-satellite receiver- natural
HDMI 2- surround sound receiver- dynamic
HDMI 3- blu-ray player- BD Wise/Movie
HDMI 4- PS3- natural (sometimes dynamic)

Playing video games on this thing are amazing. I love playing Madden 10 and NBA Live 10 and the tv output will blow you away.

I have HDMI cables running from each input to this television and an optical cable running to the surround sound receiver. I also have a wireless LAN adapter hooked up to it, which allows me to get News, stock quotes, and the weather. I can even hook up my laptop to it if I wanted to. Switching between sources is so easy. Hit the source button, and navigate away. This tv blows me away every time I watch it. It even has a cool sound when I turn it on and off. Don't forget that extended warranty if you invest in this television.

Great Set

This is my second Samsung within the past year. The 46" set purchased a year ago has been excellent and so when I needed another smaller one I came as close to it as I could. Both were delivered on time or before and have been working fine. Thanks for great service.

A great TV

A great TV for Bedroom. No problems out of the box. Easy set up. Sound complaints, I have none. That was the biggest thing I feared before buying after reading reviews. Who needs a home theatre system for a 26"? The sound quality is great for my bedroom. I'm impressed with the color as was my Direct TV installer. You just can't beat the 30,000 to 1 ratio for a TV this size. Next I'll buy the Samsung LNB22460 for my computer room and office.

Rating :

Great value

I was a bit concerned when ordering this TV because of the comments regarding poor sound quality. I have not found that to be the case. The sound I am getting on this set is more than acceptable. Of course, if you're looking for theater-quality surround sound, you need better speakers. But for a bedroom set, this is just fine. I also found the set extremely easy to set up, and I have very little technical ability. The remote control is straight forward and simple to use, even without reading the manual. I have no hesitation about giving this TV a 5 star rating.

Beautiful picture, great reception, nice TV

This is our first flat panel TV and we did quite a bit of research before purchasing. Seems different manufacturers concentrate on different sizes - Samsung had by far the best picture for the 22" class (looked at a bunch of TV's at Best Buy to compare). TV size was dictated by where it's being used. Great antenna - we have no cable at our rural location and often have a difficult time receiving local stations. This TV already had 90% of the local stations with only the coaxial cable connected - I hadn't even connected the antenna yet. With antenna connected it receives all local channels perfectly.

The owner's manual is a bible - there are about 1000 features to this TV that we'll never use nor understand. HDTV feature is stunning when using new Blu-Ray Disc player. Have only been using for about one month (Christmas present to ourselves)but so far so good. Would recommend highly.

Great little TV

I originaly bought the Samsung LN26B360 and I was totally disappointed and returned it. Then I read that the 4 and 5 series are much better so I gave Samsung another chance. I'm glad I did, wow this set is awesome. The picture is so good digital channels look like HD(I'm not using an HD cable box). Sound quality is just ok but, afterall it is a 22' TV and is not really a problem. If your looking for a really, really good 22" this is the one.

Question : Why does my Samsung LCD TV screen have a blue tone when I connect peripherals using component cables?
I have a 19-inch Samsung flat-screen LCD TV. When I connect peripherals (DVD player, XBox 360, etc.) through the component ports, everything has a blue-ish tone to it. I know it's not the component cables themselves because I've tried 3 different sets of component cables and they all have the same blue tone result. So I'm guessing there's something wrong with the TV itself. If I connect things through other ports (S-Video, Composite, DVI, etc.), everything is fine. Could I possibly have changed a setting on my TV by mistake to make everything blue when connecting things through the component ports? Or is this just an issue with the TV itself? Thanks in advance for the help.

Answer:
Sometimes a Samsung LCD can push blue if you have your color settings on "Cool" - and for that matter, ALL TV's have a color push out of the box.If you want to reduce the blue push, try changing from "Cool" to "Warm" in your picture settings. Also, check to see if you're receiving blue as a result of your component settings not receiving a "red" or "green" picture. Sometimes it takes a moment to notice, but blue will be pushed because red or green aren't transmitting from your source content (DVD player, or whatever) to your TV.If that doesn't help, try calling Samsung's toll free phone number - 800-SAMSUNG during M-F normal business hours. That number connects you to one of the three offices in the United States, which is cool that you aren't being rerouted to India.Good luck to you!

Question : Why is my samsung lcd tv screen black when connected to my toshiba laptop using a vga cable?
i tried trouble shooting already. changing resolutions and doing what the computer tells me to do but absolutely nothing is going on screen. it works with the s cable but the picture is lousy. i thought using the vga cable would give a better picture just like it does on the laptops lcd. the laptop is 2 years old but the tv is brand new. could there be compatibility issues? please help!

Answer:
Usually on laptops there are 'function keys'. One of these combination function keys is used to choose the output display. Since the function keys are different on different laptops, I can't tell you where yours is. And by the way, you won't get the same picture quality on your TV as you would from a monitor. This is because your TV isn't capable of displaying the resolutions outputted by computers. This is why computer monitors are more expensive than a TV of the same size.

Question : Which is the best and cheaper model in 32" Samsung LCD TV?
I am planing to buy 32" LCD Samsung. I have 2 choices.. LA32A330J1 and LA32A450C1. Does any owner of these LCD TVs can comment on their experience and their performance?

Answer:
Just go for Samsung LA32A450C1 without any second thought. It has got an excellent design and stunning picture quality. In my one year experience with it, I've found absolutely no problems. The sound is a bit mediocre when you listen in the built-in speakers. The sound get distorted at higher volumes. It is perfectly fine when I connected with multimedia speaker system. Other than this, the tv is apt for one who is looking to buy an HD Ready lcd tv at a low cost. Don't go for the first model as it has lower contrast ratio (higher the better). LA32A450C1 has more connectivity options like 3 HDMI ports, VGA, PC input, S-Video input and a headphone jack etc., so that you can connect more devices to it comfortably. The remote is a pleasant surprise with a glossy finish and larger buttons with hot keys for easier navigation. It has a better reponse time of 6ms with which you can watch fast moving pictures without any flicker. It has got a numerous picture settings, so that you can have a lot of tweaks if you wish to have. So go buy this tv, it's a lot worth for the money you spend. Hope I helped...

Question : What should I do with my 32 inch Samsung LCD TV box?
Should I just put it out with the trash? What if one of the neighbors sees the box and thinks it is a nice TV and decides to break into all the apartments one by one until he finds it and steals it. Or am I being too paranoid?Should I take the box off and dispose of it myself? Should I sneak it out in the middle of the night so nobody sees me? What should I do?

Answer:
If you live in a bad part of town... You have the right idea! I suggest folding it down carefully, cutting it up into squares, and just throwing it out. Or, if there's a dumpster nearby, like behind a store, just chuck it in there.

Question : My new Samsung LCD TV won't pick up the channels that I use to have from my old t.v.?
I just bought a new Samsung LCD TV a few days ago. I went ahead and scan for channels but I found some channels missing. I did a rescan but I still can't find the channels. I have an outdoor antenna that I use for picking up channels. Would I have to move my antenna around to be able to pick it up and/or is there any other solutions?
