With the introduction of the 3DTV LE925 Series, Sharp once again establishes its leadership in LCD and LED technology. In a monumental engineering breakthrough, Sharp's proprietary QuattronTM System produces the brightest 3DTV images, with reduced "crosstalk", and the 3D surround sound completes the 3D experience. Two sets of 3DTV glasses are included. Additionally, the proprietary AQUOS LED system comprised of the X-Gen LCD panel and UltraBrilliant LEDs enables an incredible dynamic contrast ratio of 7,000,000:1 and picture quality that is second to none. The LE925 series is very fully featured, including NetflixTM and VuduTM streaming video capability through the AQUOS NetTM service, along with the industry's leading online support system, AQUOS Advantage Live. With the introduction of the LE920 Series, Sharp once again establishes its leadership in LCD and LED technology. In a monumental engineering breakthrough, Sharp's proprietary quad pixel technology adds a 4th sub-pixel, yellow, to the traditional RGB, enabling the display of many colors that cannot be displayed on RGB-only TVs. A stunning new contemporary edge-light design with full-front glass proudly announces a new direction for AQUOS® TVs in 2010. Additionally, the proprietary AQUOS LED system comprised of the X-Gen LCD panel and UltraBrilliant LEDs enables an incredible dynamic contrast ratio of 6,000,000:1 and picture quality that is second to none. Works as Advertised. Great Gaming TV
The main selling point for this TV is a lag-free gaming TV. And guess what? It's just that, lag free! In extremely time-sensitive games like Rock Band and Guitar Hero, you can play these games with zero calibration out-of-the-box, no matter which input or screen resolution you use. It even supports 1080p with Component, a big plus for us Xbox 360 users that don't have an Elite.
Picture quality is good, sound quality is good, and everything else about the TV is good. The only thing is that you only have one HDMI and one Component port for the "Vyper Drive", so you should consider an HDMI, Component, and/or Composite video switch if you have multiple consoles. The other inputs are fine for your non-gaming needs such as DVD players and such.
Well worth the money if you're a serious gamer.

Tips
This is my second LCD HDTV to use with my HTPC for games/movies/web browsing/etc. I upgraded to this set for the 1080p resolution. My previous Samsung LCD also had dead pixels... this one had none!
While 1920x1080 resolution is a beautiful thing, you MUST tweak the settings after hooking it up to your PC.
First, press "View mode" on your remote and enable "Dot By Dot." This will eliminate overscan and fuzzy text.
You'll also want to decrease the sharpness, unless you enjoy looking at JPEG compression artifacts. Hit "MENU" and change it to -5 for optimal viewing.
I also recommend flipping open the bottom portion of the remote and using "GAME" AV MODE... it's much easier on the eyes when you're sitting right in front of it.
This LCD is a solid buy and I am not disappointed.

Question : Does this Sharp LCD TV model number LC-32SB23U have the ability to receive signals from local channels?
... without the use of connection after Feburary 17th? I owned this just a week or so and so far, I am beyond enjoying it. Please note that this question is DTV-transition related. And another question, my TV also feature software updates using a USB device, where would I get the software updates from Sharp.com?
Answer:
Yes it will work PAST the February deadline....Second...you only install UPDATES for certain symptoms you are actually seeing on your TV set...Weird colors? Look for your Model and the term "Bad Color" on Sharp.com UNDER your specific model number !!Software upgrades for ANOTHER MODEL do NOT apply to your TV set !And if you attempt to use another model's Upgrade....you will destroy the software programming on your TV set...I've had customers upload software and pull the USB out BEFORE it was done and the TV won't turn on at all...So....if it AIN'T BROKE.....DON'T FIX IT.

Question : Why does my sharp lcd aquos tv black out the bottom half of the screen sometimes?
If I change the channel or hit one of the display buttons it returns to a normal full screen. It only started doing this in the last 2 day. I am wondering if it will get worse. I have only had the tv about one year.
Answer:
Black out, if the picture completely gone in the bottom area something wrong with the scanning process for the bottom area. But if it just get darken in the bottom area, the backlight for the bottom is fail to lead (small possibilities).

Question : Getting the best image on a Sharp Aquos LCD TV?
i just got me a 42" Sharp Aquos LCD TV...and, i have problems with the colors, on the brightness...i just can't seem to get a great quality picture. im trying to watch the NBA Playoffs, and the players look a little foggy, like when the camara zooms out, i can see the players numbres, but foggy, the court looks dark...what mistakes im making?? can you help me figure this out?
Answer:
You don't tell us what is the source: cable, off-the-air, satellite?SD or HD?Foggy video is usually a symptom of watching SD , analog cable, on a big TV. You will get the best quality with an HD signal or at minimum digital SD (digital cable or sat). You can certainly buy a DVD calibration disc (or try to find a DVD with the free THX Optimizer). Video Essentials is a good one and the ISF/Monster is also good. Then copy those settings for your TV port. (each port in an HDTV can have its own setup).

Question : What Type of Sound System should I get to supplement my new Sharp LCD TV?
I don't need anything crazy, just something that provides nice surround sound that doesn't cost too much. $200 is about as high as I want to go, although, I'm not sure if I can find anything for that amount... I haven't even begun to look. Thank to everyone for your answers
Answer:
I normally deal with high end systems, but I do have a little experience with LG HTIB's. (Home Theater In A Box) I have sold them to a few clients for their kids or employees and have been fairly impressed with the performance.Check them out @ http://us.lge.com/products/category/list/tv|audio|video_digital%20audio.jhtml

Question : I currently have a 32" Sharp Aquos LCD tv, and am debating whether or not to buy a BluRay player. Worth it?
I had read somewhere that the difference on the smaller LCD screens when comparing Bluray to DVD is not that much of a difference. Is this true?
Answer:
in my experience, you don't know it's better until you've been exposed to it. i didn't believe that bluray could be that much better than regular DVD until i watched a couple movies that i have on both formats. the clarity is amazing and sound quality is tremendous. that being said, it only works if you have the supporting cast, such as an HDMI input/output (a bluray player will have the output) and high quality sound receiver (the tv speakers don't do this part justice). i would suggest getting one if you have an extra $200 laying around and if you're a gamer of any kind, you end up spending $100 more for a PS3 (it comes with a bluray player).

Question : what is wrong with my TV? I have a Sharp LCD tv (LC-15SH7U) and it will not turn on.?
When I push the power button the red light turns on for 3 seconds and then turns off and the TV does not turn on. What is wrong with my TV?
Answer:
It is indicating a fault, and it is in the fault detection self-protection mode. If there is an internal fault or component defect, it would have to be professionally serviced. Is the set still under warranty? If so, contact Customer Service as instructed in the owner's manual to get warranty service. If it is not under warranty, try this procedure before taking it to be diagnosed/repaired. Note: This procedure sometimes works for some digital TVs to reset it to factory default settings if the TV's memory got "wiped" due to a power surge or fluctuation. It will not work if there is an internal fault, defect or component failure.1. Unplug the TV from AC power and leave it unplugged for at least 10 minutes.2. After that time, and before plugging it back in, press and hold the TV's main Power On/Off switch (button) for about 10 seconds. Release the power button.3. Plug the TV back in. Press the Power On/Off switch as you normally would to turn on the TV. If it powers up - great! If not, try pressing and holding the Power On/Off switch for about 10 seconds or until the TV powers up, whichever comes first.4. If it still will not power up, this indicates that there is an internal malfunction. It could be a blown fuse or power protection circuit, or a blown power filter/surge capacitor, or it could be worse. There's no way to really tell without troubleshooting the set to determine the cause of the fault condition.
