Excellent Value for the price
I've had this TV for a little more than a year, it does everything well - can't get a much better value for the price.
Pros - Everything except for the speakers
Cons - None, you should expect to hook up a TV like this to a Surround Sound System

Sharp 52"
For bang for the Dollar, this TV is a great deal. The picture quality is really good. The sound isn't that great at all, but when you hook it up to surround sounds, it works great. I haven't played too much with the features, but it seems to have the basics.

AQUOS blinking power light
I received my new TV and turn it on, and after about 15 seconds it shut down. It did this 2-3 times again. The power light blinked about once per second. After looking on the internet, I found the factory reset--unplug the TV, press and hold the channel down and volume up buttons while plugging the TV back in. After, that it turned on and stayed on, so (fingers crossed) it will continue to work.
UPDATE: still powering off. Sending it back.
It is a nice TV. I will leave the picture review, etc. to the previous posts. I also have the 40 inch AQUOS model for another room, and it has the same basic connections and setup.

A great value
This TV is a great value. Quality at a reasonable price. The sound could be better but hooked to a good home theater system it is great.

Great picture, even better price!!!
I have a living room with 15 windows in it. During daylight hours I have zero glare on the TV! I didn't think it would be possible. The speakers on the TV are very bad, so I run the sound through a surround sound system and I turn the volume all the way down on the TV. I ordered the TV on a Saturday and by that Friday it was in my living room ready for me to set up. Very...very easy to set up. Great TV, great price.

Customer Review :
Sharp Aquos LC52D43U satisfied with Non HD quality
My primary goal was to get a large screen TV that is good with regular Non HD channels because most of the channels that my family watches are Non HD being Indian language channels which may take a few years to convert to HD. So I recently purchased an LCD from a big name TV maker 46 inch 1080P and did not have a very good image when viewing Non HD Indian satellite channels. I am not sure if this is just an issue with that particular set or with the model itself. I returned that TV and got a Sharp LC52D43U and am much satisfied with the image of Non HD channels. The packaging, the stand and overall externals also looked quite good. I cannot rate the reliability of the Sharp TV because I have had it for just a week but the picture quality for Non HD is good. There are two dimensions to enjoying a large screen TV. One is the larger image and the other is the better quality / higher resolution picture. If you watch a lot of Non HD content, it is best to ask the sales person to hook up the TV of interest to an antenna or regular cable and test the set out for the picture quality because there are a lot of large screen 1080P TVs out there that have poor picture quality for Non HD channels.

Great TV
Did all the research. Got a great price on amazon. Bought it about a year ago and am still super happy with my purchase. You won't go wrong with this TV.

Great budget TV
I have had this tv for about a year now. I'm very happy with it. When I was contemplating which tv I would buy, I had to figure out if I wanted 720p or 1080p, or if I wanted a plasma or LCD. I decided to go with an LCD because I didn't want my tv watching or video game playing to be hindered by the thought of burn in or image retention. Although it really isn't that big of an issue, especially nowadays, I figured that a small drop in picture quality would make up for me not worrying about it.
Anyway, I really didn't have an idea of what TV I wanted, but I wanted it to be cheap and big, and that pretty much ruled out 1080p. Also, the fact that at this size, if you are sitting back 10 feet or so, you won't even be able to notice the difference between 720 and 1080.
Anyway, I ended up seeing a really good deal on this last year, and although I couldn't find much info on the set online, anything I could find was favorable. I bought the tv and I am very happy with my purchase.
The image quality is great (for HD and Blu ray). One thing that is necessary though is to sit far enough away. If you are sitting within 7 feet, the picture can get pixelated, but if you are more than 10 feet away, it looks great. The colors seem to be pretty accurate, and the black levels seem good for an lcd.
Standard definition is pretty good as well, but there is a serious quality difference when you flip between hd and standard channel (which is to be expected). Also it takes maybe 2 seconds to switch between a standard channel to an hd channel. This is because it has to switch to 480i to 720p. Not too big a deal, but it is worth a mention.
One con I can think of is the sound quality. The speakers on the tv don't get that loud, and it can sometimes be hard to hear dialogue on a dvd or blu ray if there is a fan going or if there is any background noise at all. The volume goes from 0 to 60, but it seems as though the sound doesn't increase much at all between 30 and 60. This was only a problem with dvd's and blu rays playing from my ps3 though, because when I was watching digital cable it was always loud enough. I ended up solving this problem by just getting a sony surround sound system though.
Also, this only has 2 hdmi ports. This isn't really too big of an issue because hdmi splitters can be bought for cheap, if you ever even need an extra hdmi port.
Overall I would say that my experience with this tv has been great. There are definitely tv's with better picture, but if you can get this tv for around 1,000 I would say it would be a steal. As long as you give yourself 10-12 feet of viewing distance (which really you should do with any tv this size), this tv looks great. Honestly, unless you are willing to pay hundreds more for a slight increase in picture quality, you should check this out.

Piece of Junk
Purchased at Circuit City at a great price but you get what you pay for. 1 month after the purchase the HDMI port no longer worked and 3 months later the set will not power up. The warranty is 90 days parts and labor and 1 year parts so in order to fix the set I will have to shell out more than I paid for it in labor costs. Currently pleading with support to pay for the labor since it's only 1 month out of warranty.

Very Nice
I'll put this here because I'm not subscribing to some goofy forum just to give a review, and all the Verizon Fios customers are trying to figure out what's up. They are giving these away free with their service bundle, but can tell you nothing, I mean nothing. They don't have to because people are willing to walk on coals to sign up. Straight scoop, picture is great on this tv. All the options in the world, so you have to mess with the setup a bit. Hint: choose picture option vivid. Fios is way good enough, standard without HD, on this 19". I say save your HD money for the big screen set. Hooked up Phillips 5982 DVD 1080i upconverter to this, $59. Way cool resolution and picture. Check out the reviews on that. Also, the sound truly is inadequate, but not a problem, because every 19" is way inadequate. No worries. It has a headphone mini jack output in the back. It also has optical audio out in the back, but that is way overkill for a 19". Back to the mini jack. Hooked up Cambridge Soundworks, $79, oh my my. You can hook up any PC speakers to this. Went direct, no additional volume control needed. You control the sound through your blaster. It cuts off the TV speakers, like you need those. Also, this TV has the same specs as the Aquos version, except no goofy magnetic remote control. Oh, yeah, use your Fios STB remote to run the TV, DVD and STB. It works great. Follow the insructions provided by Verizon on the remote control, make all the units turn off and on at the same time.

Surprise,surprise!
When I finally received my free HDTV from Verizon (about three months after it was promised) I couldn't wait to try it out to see if it really worked. All I can say is WOW! Loaded with features, beautiful picture when used with FiOS, easy to use--well worth the wait.
The set fits in great where I wanted it to. It's not the biggest TV in the world (what do you expect for free?) but it's a great little set.

Great little TV
I got this TV 2 years ago, free, with Verizon FiOS. It's still working perfect. Picture is great but fyi I was getting rid of a 20" CRT TV with this. The sound is good, clear, maybe a little tinny, but it's fine for what it is. There are 2 things I would have appreciated knowing. 1) The viewing angle can't be adjusted very much up and down. I have the TV up on a tallboy dresser and had to put a book under the rear to tilt the angle of the TV downward so I could view in bed. 3) The screen isn't very bright. I have it on the brightest setting and it's still very dark. During dark scenes I sometimes lose distinction on what's on screen.

I have a 46 inch Sharp Aquos LCD TV and the screen cracked while moving it around the house. Do yall have any ideas what should i do to fix it.

I'm sorry to say this, but the last time an LCD panel was damaged, the cost of the panel was the same price as a new TV set was....Warehousing parts adds to the cost of a SINGLE PART...and that's the BIGGEST and most costly part in the whole TV set !

Answer:
Your TV is telling you that it is not detecting a signal, try putting the aerial directly into the TV after making sure that the wiring inside of the aerial plug is ok that the outer copper braid is not touching the centre wire, and re-tune again, If that works check out the VCR or DVD recorders as they may not be passing the signal. If it does not work, check out the aerial by trying say a portable TV on your aerial, a snowy picture will confirm your aerial is faulty
