Question : How to set toshiba lcd tv back to cable from analog setting.?
I just purchased a toshiba 15 inch lcd tv/dvd and in the auto set up I selected analog just to see if anything would come in. Now I am having trouble on how to switch it back to cable and was wondering if anyboy knew how. the model number is 15lv505 or 15lv506 and the manuel is no help I will give ten points if anybody can help me. Also the auto set up feature only works once.

Answer:
In the Menu, there must be an option for "Channels" Channel Scan, or something similar. Similar force a new Channel scan. When it asks you Antenna or Cable, select Cable.

Question : could iget a review of the toshiba lcd tv model 42HL57?
I plan on buying this tv this weekend would like to hear some feedback about it

Answer:
Consumer Reports reviewed a similar set, the 42HL67 set in it's March issue. The top rated set in the 40-42 inch range was the Samsung LN-T4053H, with a grade of 77. The Toshiba was eighth out of sixteen with a grade of 71. The weak points were SD performance and sound quality. They also didn't think much of the remote.

Question : How do I get my computer out to be widescreen on my lcd tv?

Answer:
You need a graphics card that supports a wide screen resolution.

Question : What is the difference between Dell & Toshiba LCD TV's?
I have narrowed down my tv search to a Toshiba 37" LCD for $565 and a Dell 32" for $360 (both are used, thats why the good price) Assuming both work perfectly, anyone have any opinion on which brand would be better? I have little knowledge about TV's. Thanks for your help in advance!

Answer:
The difference is in QUALITY. Toshiba is a quality LCD. Dell is pretty much a third tier or junk TV. "Cheap" and "quality" are mutually exclusive. If your choice is between these 2, get the Toshiba!!! Buying a used TV is dicey, but that isn't your question.

Question : Toshiba LCD TV?
Has anyone ever had a Toshiba LCD TV or know anything about them? Specifically, model number 42HL67 ...... We were looking to buy one, but I'd like to know what everyone thinks about them and if they've had any problems with them. Thanks :)

Answer:
I do not own one, but I have repaired a couple. They are a very well built set, and parts are very easy to get from Toshiba. We have sold lots of these sets, the sets I have repaired were not any we sold. These were from one of the big box retailers, whose sets are not as high end as what a dealer can get. When I say dealer, I mean as a Toshiba Authorized Dealer, we get the cream of the crop. Our prices are a bit higher, but so is the level of service you get. Not to mention the level of the product's quality.

Question : Why does my toshiba lcd tv starts on it;s own at night?
my toshiba LCD 32inch TV works perfectly fine but sometimes at night it just starts up on it's own. There is no timer set and it doesn't happen regularly so I'm wondering why it would be?

Answer:
Why do you leave it plugged in and switched on at night? What's the point of doing that?Over 75% of all house fires in Britain are caused by electrical items that are switched off, but left with the plug in and power on. Why take the risk?

Question : On my Toshiba LCD TV there are certain area's where I can see horizontal lines on my screen.?
I bought a 40" Toshiba LCD about 3 or 4 months ago, I noticed about a week ago that on the left most side of the screen there began to show horizontal lines on the screen. They are equally spaced down almost the top half of the screen each extending to a random point straight to the right. It is most noticeable in the far upper left, which can be seen from far away, while the others appear only when I sit close to play xbox. They were not there before, and as an avid gamer they are becoming a bother, I have the warranty on the thing from Geek Squad but I really would rather know if I can quick fix it myself. I read that it might be interference, it's not, I unplugged everything from the sockets save the TV and the lines remained. I messed with every setting, from backlight to contrast in an effort to dull or erase them to no avail. It bothers me when I cannot fix things myself and I would like to have some idea as to what is wrong when the tech gets here (if i have to call him). I'm thinking that it might be something wrong with the backlight, but I honestly don't know how one of these things works! Help!

Answer:
this is a bad panel. Nothing you can do save calling a technician to replace the panel. You may want to take pictures of the problem and e-mail it to the tech. He will need pictures to get toshiba to authorize a panel replacement. This way the tv may stay at your house while the panel is on order.

Question : Why is it fuzzy on upper channels on 26in toshiba lcd TV 26AV500U?
From channel 30 and up it gets so fuzzy some more than others. It's 7 month's old. On ch 50 & 51 it sometimes gets frozen and most turn off to get it to work. We got a samsung 32 lcd the same day and never had a problem, it Evan gets more ch than the toshiba. Can this be fixed? Why only some ch fuzzy?

Answer:
Bad tuner...get it to your nearest Toshiba Authorized service center, and bring your purchase reciept so they can copy it, to get Warranty Repair on your TV set.

Question : Toshiba LCD TV looks fuzzy?
I just bought a Toshiba tv, and every channel looks fuzzy. Do I need to buy a special package to have hd channels? , and my playstation 3 lags when i play like call of duty and some other games, and it doesnt look anything like in the store.. help?

Answer:
You need an HD cable box and either HDMI or component cables to hook the box up to the TV. HDMI being the best. You also need an HDMI cable to hook the PS3 up with.
