32-Inch 1080P LCD HDTV

GOOD PRICE ,GOOD PRODUCT

This TV Was worth for its cost. The Picture quality is too good but the sound effect is not up to the mark. If u have a Home theater this would be amazing...Good one..enjoy!!!

A good option at fair price

I have a good impression of this product, I received a very good offer when I bought this tv, it was an excellent opportunity to change my old tv for a new one that provides the 1080p resolution.

The picture quality is quite good, besides it adjusts automatically to the signal received and it lets you to configure yours preferences, it is easy to use.

The tv fits the latest consoles quite good, despiting the tv works at 60Hz, the image resolution displayed at 1080p looks great.

So far, I didnt find any issues with the HDTV, just the sounds quaility which is a little difficult to figure out how to get the higher performance of the audio in TV.

Good TV overall

We have had this TV for a few months now and it is our first flat-screen. The only major complaint we have is that the sound is not loud enough. We have had the TV turned up all the way on numerous occasions and still can't hear well with other noises in the background. The highest level of volume on this TV would have probably been mid-level for our previous TVs. Another problem we have run into is that when going to change channels the TV will freeze sometimes and the picture will slowly fade out and the TV has to be turned off and then back on again. We got the TV for a great price compared to other sets so even with these problems we still feel like it was a good purchase.

Awesome "monitor" for my computer.

Bought it as an upgrade from my 22" dual monitor system. At first I set this thing up as primary and one of my 22" as secondary, but I ended up always just using this 32" TV and keeping the other monitor off.

The picture quality at 1080p is not quite as good as my 22" monitors were at 1680x1050, some images/colors look a little "jpeg"-ish for some reason. After playing with the inputs and re-seating the HDMI cable it seems to be just about perfect, but not quite. For all I know, the problem is with my HDMI-DVI cable, it's not exactly the highest-quality stuff.

Overall this thing is AWESOME for just about anything: watching videos, Hulu, games (Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age, Dead Space, etc.), documents (easily 2 full-page side-by-side), web browsing/research (once again, 2 side-by-side), and video-editing. But those intending to use it for more nit-picky stuff like high quality photo editing who need very correct color representation may want to consider something of higher quality (maybe also higher quality HDMI cable...). Average/basic photoshop users should be just fine with this though.

Cant beat it for the price

We have had this unit for about 7 months now, and i wish i had bought 2 as it is now unavailable. For a 32" full 1080p TV, I dont think you can beat it. The game mode works flawlessly, and a nice plus for my household, it interfaces nicely with our HD-DVD players. The sound is actually better than expected for a unit of this size, and the 3 HDMI ports is a huge plus. If you can find one, buy one!

Love it

This is a perfect space saving bedroom tv. The DVD player is awesome and plays any disk you put in it - Divx, jpegs, mp3s, etc. Awesome for playing all those torrent downloads on something other than the computer! Sure the channel changing takes a little bit of time, but no more than most other lcd/hdtvs. I haven't noticed the heat being an issue - I have it wall mounted on a tilt mount - it does get a little warm, but it's not melting paint or anything!

Works great

TV and DVD player work great. Picture is clear and sound is good. I ordered a good bracket to hang it on the wall. When you order a bracket make sure you buy a good one so it hol;ds the TV level.

Toshiba 23" Good Value

I ordered the Toshiba 23HLV86 for x-mas. It came on time and all was as advertised. I like having the DVD as part of the TV as it saves space and minimizes cords etc. Only negative is the delay as you switch station to station - it takes longer then my old TV to switch.

Toshiba 23" LCD HDTV with DVD Player

This is the perfect TV for my small den (approx. 9' x 12'). It fits inside a bookcase so it does not intrude on the room. Picture is great for both TV and the DVDs. This item is exactly as advertised - no complaints from me.

Stopped working within 6 months

We had high hopes for this combination TV/DVD player and it gets very light use in my daughter's room. Unfortunately, it has had problems over the past 3 months, not turning on at all, and after several weeks of "sometimes" working, it no longer powers on at all.

Save your money and buy a Sharp or Sony.

Regza 1080p Full HD LCD

Customer Review :

Good picture..... when it comes on

There are many reviewers with this same problem so......BUYERS BEWARE!!

As the others have stated, the TV works fine for a while, but then it will have to be recylced off and on a half dozen times before it stays on. Toshiba customer service is a joke. Buying another brand and suggest you do the same and save yourself a lot of headaches.

A Lemon

Paid $800 for this TV and 18 months later POOF it completely stopped working. It wouldn't turn on. We had the TV hooked up to a surge protector and had taken all precautions. Took it to a Toshiba repair service and they said the main board was defective. Cost of repair $500!!! Called Toshiba to see if they could do anything to help us but since the TV was only under warranty for 12 months they said tough luck. We will never buy another Toshiba product again. Buyer beware on this TV.

Getting This Next! I have the 720p and LOVE IT!

If I had a living room this is going in it. I have the 720p & the HD channels are incredible. Can't wait to upgrade & enjoy the 1080p!

Great TV until it dies

I have the same problem many others are having with Toshiba.....Screen goes blank. After I turn it on I briefly see the picture 2 times and then nothing but sound. Many have been fortunate for this to happen before the warranty expires, I did not. Less than a month out of warranty and I now have a dead TV and I agree with the complaints about Toshiba's customer service....I really got the impression that they know this is a problem but really don't care. Save yourself the headache and the waste of money....DO NOT BUY A TOSHIBA!!!! At this point I can not even afford to fix it. It was truly a waste of $900.00

Don't Buy At Any Price!

I don't recommend buying anything from Toshiba. It has been my experience that Toshiba produces a shabby product and treated me in a shabby way, here's why: On January 23, 2008 I purchased a REGZA 32HL67U32" LCD HDTV (predecessor to the current model)for $720. By the last week in March 2009, the main panel failed and I was told by the repair center that the replacement panel would cost $1,900.

I contacted Toshiba and I was told by a customer service supervisor that since the breakdown occurred 15 months after the purchase, they would pay 50% of the replacement part ($950), if I paid the other half, plus labor.

Their offer made no financial sense; first of all, why does a replacement part cost nearly 3 times the amount of the original TV? They had no answer to that question. Secondly, using their logic, they could ship me a new TV and save themselves $230!

It is clear that by using an artificially high replacement part value, they are dodging responsibility for the quality of their product. The TV is a total loss to me after such a short period of time.

I will never do business with Toshiba again!

Questions & Answers
Question : My new Toshiba LCD TV keeps switching it self on and off?
We got a new Toshiba LCD TV, about a week ago now and it's starting to keep turning itself off and then turning it self on about every hour or so, we ignored it but it's starting to get really annoying when watching a movie or playing on the PS3. We've try'd unplugging it for 4 hours and plugging it back in but still it keeps turning off, it turns off for about 3 seconds and turns back on.Help?

Answer:
Both answers posted before me are correct, but that's only half of it. if the sleep timer isn't the problem then the tv may be suffering a power issue. the TVs internal power switch may be going haywire. If that's the case you should consult the corresponding retailer and have it exchanged. Before you consider taking my advice, I highly advise listening to the 2 previous answer posters before me.

Question : I am trying to hook my macbook up to a toshiba lcd tv using a hdmi and dvi convertor cord?
when i set the input to hdmi 2 which is where the cord is plugged into on the back of the tv nothing shows up on the tv.. what am i doing wrong

Answer:
You will need to tell you laptop to output video to the TV. Change it to a presentation mode. You should be able to find a key on the keyboard that does that, usually one of the sub options on the "F#" keys. If you cant find it, look under a display properties or something like that.

Question : HI I need help with a TV...Toshiba 26"LCD?
I just bought a 26" Toshiba LCD TV from circuity city. I turn the TV programmed it but it not picking up any channels whats so ever. I thought it was suppose to pick up over the air digital or even analog channels. When it searches for the channels comes back with none found. I am not using Cable or Antennae. I was under impression it would pick up with the built in Tuner...Thanks

Answer:
You still need an antenna to pick up over the air channels. Don't be fooled into buying "HD" antenna's you can use rabbit ears just fine.

Hi. I've tried linking my IBM Thinkpad Laptop to my Toshiba LCD TV via a VGA cable. The image appears on my TV screen, but the whole screen is blue. I've tried changing the resolution on the laptop but that hasn't made any difference. I've been told I may need to download an updated driver but I haven't a clue what I would need. Can anyone help? The thinkpad is running with Windows XP if that means anything.ThanksJ xxxxxxx

Answer:
You might be better off by updateing your drivers; go to the support pages on www.lenovo.com or www.ibm.com.

Question : is this toshiba lcd tv i bought rubbish?
i recently bought my first lcd tv, a 32" toshiba...i dont really have anything to compare it to, except a CRT but to be honest the picture looks very pixelated/blurry when up close to the screen, especially any writing. from a distance it is ok. i thought it might be the feed but sky, freeview and dvd's look the same. i would have thought a dvd should be crystal clear. am i expecting to much or is this tv rubbish. the model is : Toshiba Regza 32AV615DB 32-inch Widescreen HD Ready

Answer:
HD signals should look nice and clear. Standard def signals may actually look worse on a digital TV compared to an analog TV. This is because a standard def digital picture is made up of only 480 horizontal lines. Your HDTV has either 720 or 1080 horizontal lines, so a standard def picture has to be increased to about double its original size.Bottom line: HDTVs are intended for HD signals.

Question : I have a toshiba lcd tv. My pc is hooked to it. How do I get sound? Do I need a cable?
PC problems. Need to know how to get sound on lcd tv from pc.

Answer:
You will definately have to get a cable to run from your sound output on the pc to the audio input of your tv. Read you TV's manual to see what kind of audio inputs you have and then go get a cable that matches both the pc and TV. Good luck.Hope this helps,Shawn
