Toshiba REGZA 46SV67OU 46-in TV
This TV is teriffic!!! Great picture; sound quality is the best (I have a hearing problem in one ear, but this sound system is fine); fits exactly in the corner of my living room on a corner cabinet. Amazon chose and execellent vendor for delivery and the delivery person could not have been more helpful and polite. Everything's great! What else could you say?!!!

Tight fit
I purchased a TV entertainment enclosure from IKEA. It said it would accommodate most TV's up to 46". The Toshiba 46" fit into it like a glove. It took some precise measuring for the mount but I managed to get it in with the base setting on the bottom of the enclosure, leaving a 1/2" opening at the top.
I realized at the beginning it would be more or less permanent, so I cut an opening in the enclosure rear panel to have access to the connections, about a 10" X 10" opening.
I also realized that the heat build-up from the TV could be a problem. Contacting Toshiba via email, they responded immediately and agreed there would be a problem and their warranty would not cover it. So on the Plan B. I installed a quiet muffin fan, about 4" square, blowing out from the opening I had cut. Then I installed a switch at the electric outlet to control the fan. There is some noise from the fan, but ever so slight, and it disappears once the TV sound is on. The cooling is excellent, with the top of the TV barely warm after hours of operation.
My suggestion is to avoid tight-fitting enclosures to mount your TV!

Great value
This HDTV fit my needs perfectly and at a super price point. It's not the slimmest but that was not a issue for me. 240 Hz and LED back-lighting sold me. It has all the inputs and outputs you need.

The Good and Bad
TV arrived today 5/24/10 from Amazon.com distributor. Good: Shipping condition, picture quality Bad:
TV manufacture date is August 2009! Really, almost a year old! Not as good a deal as I thought I was getting.
PS3 via HDMI does not work at all except in 480p. PS3 via component cable supports all formats, so its not the PS3.
Menu is lacking and fixed audio output audio is so low that my stereo is near full blast to get sound.
Looks like lots of menu options are greyed out. Expansion? I've read of firmware upgrade (mine is dated Feb 2009). Anyone know what if there is a new one out?
Already on the fence about returning it and its only a couple hours old.

Great TV - when you get a good one
Out of the box this TV is a beauty. It is heavier than most slim-design models so be sure to have a friend or partner ready to help.
Set up is easy - plug in, tweak a few menu settings and you are ready to watch some great TV. I am pleased with the picture quality of SD and HD channels. The TheatreWide feature makes action movies come to life; it is even great for every day viewing save for slight distortion on the edges of the picture.
Note that the screen is not matte - has a very shiny surface so probably not a good fit for a sunny room. I have it in a room with a large sliding glass door and window - no problems for my preference.
The sound is good - I can have it turned up to a good volume to enjoy a movie or sports and it isn't blasting throughout the whole house.
Overall I really, really like this TV - cresting on loving it.
Now on to the negative: it is now May 11 and I have finally had this TV for a whole week now. Mind you I ordered it on MARCH 7TH; yes M-A-R-C-H. The first unit delivered was damaged in transit and had to be shipped back to the seller buy.com who is in California. The shipping alone took one week each way then another 3 day processing time for them to pull a replacement TV to ship ... back to the midwest 7 days later. 2nd TV - a LEMON. When you turned it on there was a 7 second delay - 10 seconds of picture - then turned itself off for 20 seconds - then back on. Every so-often there would be no picture at all - not even to see the menu or input options - this was fixed by unplugging the unit & plugging it back in per instruction of a Toshiba tech. The audio either didn't work or had a significant delay which replicated an echo chamber. Buy.com sent instructions for the manufacturer to process a replacement and arrange for pick up - which took another week. I have two other Toshiba TVs that have been great (a 27" digital that is now 10 years old; a 19" analog that has to be nearly 20) and in my experience has longevity so I was surprised by this faulty unit. With this 2nd TV / lemon - [...] consented to start the replacement process once the TV was in the shippers possession vs. waiting another week until it was returned to their warehouse. Hello - thank you! This was the biggest regret for buying online - that there was no brick & mortar store to deal with locally and returns had to go through the shipping game. All & all this hassle of saved me $700-$800 from buying from a store. You decide if it is worth it to you.

I love this little tv
It's perfect for the bedroom, kids room, kitchen, or an small area. The volume is just fine. I don't know what these people posting single star reviews are talking about. I have no complaints on this television. If I do, I'll update this review.

GREAT LITTLE TV
I WAS INFLUENCED TO BUY THIS TV BY ALL THE FAVORABLE REVIEWS I READ ONLINE. ALL THE REVIEWS WERE RIGHT ON TARGET---IT'S A GREAT LITTLE TV.

What a pleasure this TV is. Plug it in (on cable) and you have an immediate response-great color and clarity, for both the TV and DVD functions.

Great little TV
I found the previous reviews very helpful when trying to decide whether to buy this TV or not. I received it this week and I am extremely happy with it. The size is great. Many of the 15" TV's are bigger. The picture is very clear and sharp, the sound good. One of the problems that previous reviews mentioned was that the sound was not loud enough in the DVD mode. I do not find this true. Like all my other DVD players and TV's you have to turn the sound up a couple of notches when in the DVD mode, but I have no problem hearing it. One thing that I especially liked was that the power cord plugs directly into the wall socket. You do not have to use one of those bulky power supply converters that come with most LCD TV's. I bought this TV to use in my motor home and it is great. The cabinet size is small, no bigger than my original LCD TV, just a little thicker. It weighs very little, so is easy to move around and store. The picture and sound are good in both TV and DVD mode. All in all, it is a great little TV for the price. I would highly recommend it.

Won't last.
I, too, was thrilled with this television when I first received it. It has been a pleasure to use in my kitchen, until recently. First, it decided that sometimes it would play a disc and another time it would say it was an "incorrect disc." Now it has chosen to eliminate channels, willy nilly. Channel scan just shows every number from 2 to 69, except for the local channels we've been watching for the 2 years we've had it. Toshiba cusomer service knows less about the TV than I do.... so, it will get 1 star from me. Such a product, at such a price should last more than 2 years in my opinion.

| Editorial Review :
The RV525 series combines a 1080p Full HD CineSpeed LCD Display with DynaLight dynamic backlight control and a High-Res PC Input for true home theater picture quality, and enhanced PC Gaming. 1080p Full HD CineSpeed LCD Display Today’s highest resolution video content is 1920 x 1080 for over 2,000,000 pixels. A standard 720p HD display has less than 1,000,000 display pixels, and must discard half of the original video content, resulting in decreased picture detail. On the other hand, a 1080p Full HD Display has over 2,000,000 display pixels, maintaining the full video resolution and clarity. A CineSpeed Display has an LCD Response Time of 8ms or less to ensure that the display is also fast enough for high quality home theater. DynaLight Dynamic Backlight Utilizes advanced histogram image processing to monitor the brightness level of each video frame and automatically adjusts the backlight intensity based on the image content. This precise signal analysis allows for 256 levels of backlight control and can create a Dynamic Contrast that is 7 to 10 times that of the original panel contrast. The result is a powerful picture with deep blacks for increased detail and incredible depth. Gaming Mode Enhances the gaming experience by reducing game controller delay. The Gaming Mode allows the video signal to bypass select picture circuitry to shorten the overall signal to screen time. This provides an approximate 33 millisecond response improvement for 60Hz models and 48 millisecond response improvement for 120 Hz models virtually eliminating controller delay. High-Res PC Input (15-Pin D-Sub) For connecting to computers, perfect for the true PC Gamer who likes a big screen. In the world of the video game enthusiast, the better the view, the better the experience. 1080p Full HD CineSpeed DisplayDynaLight Dynamic Backlight Control for Deep Black LevelsGaming Mode for Fast Game Controller ResponseATSC / QAM Di

Questions & Answers
Question : I have a toshiba lcd tv. My pc is hooked to it. How do I get sound? Do I need a cable?
PC problems. Need to know how to get sound on lcd tv from pc.
Answer:
You will definately have to get a cable to run from your sound output on the pc to the audio input of your tv. Read you TV's manual to see what kind of audio inputs you have and then go get a cable that matches both the pc and TV. Good luck.Hope this helps,Shawn

Question : My new Toshiba LCD TV keeps switching it self on and off?
We got a new Toshiba LCD TV, about a week ago now and it's starting to keep turning itself off and then turning it self on about every hour or so, we ignored it but it's starting to get really annoying when watching a movie or playing on the PS3. We've try'd unplugging it for 4 hours and plugging it back in but still it keeps turning off, it turns off for about 3 seconds and turns back on.Help?
Answer:
Both answers posted before me are correct, but that's only half of it. if the sleep timer isn't the problem then the tv may be suffering a power issue. the TVs internal power switch may be going haywire. If that's the case you should consult the corresponding retailer and have it exchanged. Before you consider taking my advice, I highly advise listening to the 2 previous answer posters before me.

Question : Which is better a Toshiba or a LG LCD Tv?
I'm getting a new TV for Christmas, so far it's a choice between a 32" Toshiba LCD Tv or a 32" LG Tv and I can't decide which. Can anyone tell me which one they think is better?
Answer:
Toshiba, definatly. I work with large screen TVs on a daily basis, Toshiba have a far better image, and far better customer support. LG used to be quality TVs, but these days are becoming more and more like cheap crap. Avoid if possible.

Question : Toshiba LCD TV?
Has anyone ever had a Toshiba LCD TV or know anything about them? Specifically, model number 42HL67 ...... We were looking to buy one, but I'd like to know what everyone thinks about them and if they've had any problems with them. Thanks :)
Answer:
I do not own one, but I have repaired a couple. They are a very well built set, and parts are very easy to get from Toshiba. We have sold lots of these sets, the sets I have repaired were not any we sold. These were from one of the big box retailers, whose sets are not as high end as what a dealer can get. When I say dealer, I mean as a Toshiba Authorized Dealer, we get the cream of the crop. Our prices are a bit higher, but so is the level of service you get. Not to mention the level of the product's quality.

Question : I bought a new toshiba regza LCD TV and it has a low humming that is always present.?
You can really only hear it if the TV is muted or at low volumes. Is a slight humming or buzzing from the speakers normal for LCD's?
Answer:
Hi,Are you sure its really coming off the speakers, not the TV itself? Here's something you can try, turn the internal speakers off by going into your sound menu. Do you still hear the sound? There should be absolute silence from the speakers since the speakers are now cut off from the internal amplifier. If you still hear the sound from the speakers, there's there is something wrong with the internal circuits of the amplifier. So since its not too late for you to replace with another model or perhaps get it exchanged if you like the same tv, then please do so.Oh, did you know you can connect sound without going through your tv to your sound system or stereo if you got audio in on your sound system.I never use the tv's speakers at my place, well its up to you.Good luck!

Question : HI I need help with a TV...Toshiba 26"LCD?
I just bought a 26" Toshiba LCD TV from circuity city. I turn the TV programmed it but it not picking up any channels whats so ever. I thought it was suppose to pick up over the air digital or even analog channels. When it searches for the channels comes back with none found. I am not using Cable or Antennae. I was under impression it would pick up with the built in Tuner...Thanks
Answer:
You still need an antenna to pick up over the air channels. Don't be fooled into buying "HD" antenna's you can use rabbit ears just fine.
