I love this little tv
It's perfect for the bedroom, kids room, kitchen, or an small area. The volume is just fine. I don't know what these people posting single star reviews are talking about. I have no complaints on this television. If I do, I'll update this review.

Great little TV
I found the previous reviews very helpful when trying to decide whether to buy this TV or not. I received it this week and I am extremely happy with it. The size is great. Many of the 15" TV's are bigger. The picture is very clear and sharp, the sound good. One of the problems that previous reviews mentioned was that the sound was not loud enough in the DVD mode. I do not find this true. Like all my other DVD players and TV's you have to turn the sound up a couple of notches when in the DVD mode, but I have no problem hearing it. One thing that I especially liked was that the power cord plugs directly into the wall socket. You do not have to use one of those bulky power supply converters that come with most LCD TV's. I bought this TV to use in my motor home and it is great. The cabinet size is small, no bigger than my original LCD TV, just a little thicker. It weighs very little, so is easy to move around and store. The picture and sound are good in both TV and DVD mode. All in all, it is a great little TV for the price. I would highly recommend it.

Fabulous
What a pleasure this TV is. Plug it in (on cable) and you have an immediate response-great color and clarity, for both the TV and DVD functions.

Won't last.
I, too, was thrilled with this television when I first received it. It has been a pleasure to use in my kitchen, until recently. First, it decided that sometimes it would play a disc and another time it would say it was an "incorrect disc." Now it has chosen to eliminate channels, willy nilly. Channel scan just shows every number from 2 to 69, except for the local channels we've been watching for the 2 years we've had it. Toshiba cusomer service knows less about the TV than I do.... so, it will get 1 star from me. Such a product, at such a price should last more than 2 years in my opinion.

GREAT LITTLE TV
I WAS INFLUENCED TO BUY THIS TV BY ALL THE FAVORABLE REVIEWS I READ ONLINE. ALL THE REVIEWS WERE RIGHT ON TARGET---IT'S A GREAT LITTLE TV.

720p HD LCD TV
Customer Review :
great picture short life span.
this TV has the best display that I had seen when I was shopping for my first LCD TV. Thank God for the 200 dollar extended service plan because the TV did not last more then 6 mo. I paid over a thousand dollars with the extended service plan and they are now telling me that the parts are no longer available to fix my TV.... and all I get is a prorated refund of 500 dollars. I will never buy any Toshiba product.

Good Picture for the money
First off the item arrived in record time from the vendor. The picture compared to my Sony trinitron is more vibrant. I watched a Pay Per Movie from my cable provider and the picture was comparable to seeing it in the theater.
I havent even used the HDMI cable yet. Now the quality does fade when you move to close or view from an angle. But Im sure that happens with other 780 dpi models
A minor flaw is that the jacks are not flat against the back of the TV. The back has a lip and the jacks are on the bottom which makes it difficult to view when you want to plug your jacks in.
The TV many many other features similar to a cable box for fav channels and so forth which I havent used.
Im very pleased with the purchase. I did see an RCA 37" for the same price about a week after purchasing this one and wondered about that deal.

Fantastic TV
The picture is even better than I expected, and it is slim and light and was easy to mount to the wall in the bedroom, now we are not straining our necks to see the tv! Feels like your at the movies in your own room! Love it!

A good TV
I got it just before Xmas at best buy for $449.
Now, 8 months later, of course, you can get either a bigger screen or whatever for the same price.
Im fairly pleased. Takes awhile to get used to the "slow" turning on and changing of chanels.
What got me interested in Toshiba was i went in walmart and of all their TVs this toshiba had the best picture.
Now, 8 months later, I might opt for a 37 or 42 inch because prices have come down some.
Being the tightwad i am, I will use his for at least 4 more years before upgrading. (Assuming no problems)

We LOVE this TOSHIBA TV.
I have had this since 3/08/09 & we watch it alot. It is on about 12 hours a day. (we work from home & we keep it on all the time, whether we are watching it or not) It is GREAT..we have no complaints. The picture quality & color is A+++. The sound is fine. It does take a few seconds for the picture to come on while changing channels, but so what, whats 2 or 3 seconds. It's great in regular LCD digital channels, but when I switch it to HDTV..OMG..the picture is superb. One feature we love is when you MUTE it..it "half mutes" on the first click, meaning it goes alot lower in volume yet not totally muted, Than when I click again, it's totally muted. I recommend this Toshiba 32" TV to everyone who wants a great TV at a great price. We also have 2 more TV's..a superb SCEPTRE & a superb Sharp 32" LCD HDTV, yet the Toshiba has us hooked. It is a bit better than our Sceptre & Sharp. I will buy another one soon.

Space saver and all-in-one entertainment solution, the 19LV61K LCD HDTV with built-in DVD player is a compact powerhouse with sleek design and high-gloss finish. Not only that, but the digital tuner ensures that you're ready for the transition to digital TV.
Customer Review :
Cute model, but low sound...ought to be mentioned upfront. Would not buy that model again.
I have a Toshiba 19LV61K LCD tv/dvd. The volume is not mentioned at purchase, but should be. The speakers are 1.5 watts. Listening to the tv from 2 or 3 feet requires setting the volume to the highest maximum and the sound is still low--all my guests have complained. Same problem when listening to a DVD, whereby the DVD is incorporated to the television.
In addition, when I tried to understand the problem and report it through the Costco Concierge technical support, the Costco representative and I were hung up on by a lady named Kim at Toshiba (Date: February 10, 2010, around 4:30 p.m. (MST)). Besides hanging up on us, the representative was adamant at denying even the existence of my experience.
I have had other Toshiba products and still do, but never had such a bad experience. In addition, the problem of low volume on this model remains a problem!!! Based on my experience with the product, I would not recommend this model or brand to anyone.

Previous comment regarding sound is fixable!
Also picked up this model Toshiba from Costco. Sound was terrible. But with a quick call to Costco technician (yes, Costco has technical support) we were walked through a simple "fix." Works great now!

Great Buy
Found this unit at costco (display model) for $160.00. Picture is great and I would give it a 4/5 on sound quality!

Tuner Problems
As mentioned in other reviews the sound volume is very poor. The first one would not receive one of the channels. The second one had intermittent problems with audio on one channel (different than above). In both of the above an older television was used to verify the problems. Currently searching for a replacement.

Terrible sound is all I have to say
I usually read reviews of everything I buy, however, having already owned 3 Toshiba LCD TV's, I figured I couldn't go wrong. Picture is good, DVD works good, but sound at full blast is barely audible 5 feet away - Terrible!

Question : could iget a review of the toshiba lcd tv model 42HL57?
I plan on buying this tv this weekend would like to hear some feedback about it
Answer:
Consumer Reports reviewed a similar set, the 42HL67 set in it's March issue. The top rated set in the 40-42 inch range was the Samsung LN-T4053H, with a grade of 77. The Toshiba was eighth out of sixteen with a grade of 71. The weak points were SD performance and sound quality. They also didn't think much of the remote.

Question : Need help choosing a 32"lcd tv, the Toshiba 32AV502R or the VizioVO320E. Which is better in terms of hardware?
I don't want answers based off of "brand image". I've just been trying to figure out which one has more features and offers more performance but they seem pretty neck to neck. I can get the Toshiba for about 30 dollars less than the Vizio.
Answer:
Between the two the Toshiba is a much better tv. Vizio is a cheap brand and made in China, they also have a none responsive customer service center if you have any problems you want answers for. If you can look at the Panasonic or Samsung they are a bit better. Hope this will help you out.

Question : I have a toshiba lcd tv. My pc is hooked to it. How do I get sound? Do I need a cable?
PC problems. Need to know how to get sound on lcd tv from pc.
Answer:
You will definately have to get a cable to run from your sound output on the pc to the audio input of your tv. Read you TV's manual to see what kind of audio inputs you have and then go get a cable that matches both the pc and TV. Good luck.Hope this helps,Shawn
